We consider nonlinear mixed effects models including high-dimensional covariates to model individual parameters variability. The objective is to identify relevant covariates among a large set under sparsity assumption and to estimate model parameters. To face the high dimensional setting we consider a regularized estimator namely the maximum likelihood estimator penalized with the l1-penalty. We rely on the use of the eBIC model choice criteria to select an optimal reduced model. Then we estimate the parameters by maximizing the likelihood of the reduced model. We calculate in practice the maximum likelihood estimator penalized with the l1-penalty though a weighted proximal stochastic gradient descent algorithm with an adaptive learning rate. This choice allows us to consider very general models, in particular models that do not belong to the curved exponential family. We demonstrate first in a simple linear toy model through a simulation study the good convergence properties of this optimization algorithm. We compare then the performance of the proposed methodology with those of the \glmmLasso procedure in a linear mixed effects model in a simulation study. We illustrate also its performance in a nonlinear mixed-effects logistic growth model through simulation. We finally highlight the beneficit of the proposed procedure relying on an integrated single step approach regarding two others two steps approaches for variable selection objective.

Villa Sticchi, un ejemplo significativo de la arquitectura ecléctica de Salento, está ubicada en un promontorio rocoso con vistas al mar en Santa Cesarea Terme. La villa, de formas moriscas, tiene planta cuadrangular con cuatro torres en el primer piso, culminadas rematadas en una cúpula con pináculo, que recuerda la planta quincunce de una mezquita. El aparato decorativo morisco, con yeso policromado, almenas, columnas y capiteles esculpidos, en el primer y segundo piso ha sido objeto de trabajos de restauración, a partir de un proyecto dividido en varias fases interconectadas: investigación histórico-bibliográfica, análisis químico -composición de los elementos, Estudio de la arquitectura, análisis de la degradación, identifi cación de las intervenciones de restauración.

Torre Vado forma parte del sistema fortifi cado que rodea gran parte de la costa de Apulia: las torres costeras. Aunque hayan perdido su función defensiva original, las torres persisten como puntos de referencia que marcan y caracterizan territorios y paisajes. Este texto se centra en la restauración aplicada a todo el edifi cio, que incluye diversas intervenciones como la restauración de las superfi cies murales y del aparato decorativo, la reparación de los techos, el refuerzo de los muros, la renovación de las aberturas y la instalación de un sistema de iluminación. La restauración de Torre Vado, por lo tanto, representa una gran oportunidad para la valorización de todo el territorio costero, siendo el acto fi nal de un proceso de conocimiento que comienza con un análisis detenido de la estructura y del sistema al que pertenece.

心理学がビジネスの現場でどのように「活きるか」という事例は数多く紹介されていますが，どのように「活かす」かといった実践知を学べる機会は多くありません。本WSでは，ビジネスフィールドで奮闘する3人の心理学者かつ実践家から，心理学をビジネスで「活かす」ための実践知を学びます。 まず，心理学を活かした研究開発支援に強みを持つコンサルティング企業の創業者である澤井氏から，クライアントとのサイエンスコミュニケーションのノウハウや，ビジネス特有の要因・制約を踏まえて実験や調査を設計する勘所について紹介します。次に，人事コンサルティング企業で応用行動分析学に基づく介入を行う八重樫氏からは，職場環境や対象者の特徴を掴み介入を構築・実施するプロセスや，現場に入り込むための工夫を紹介します。最後に，IT企業の社内研究部門に所属する岩本氏から，組織内において心理学的知見・手法への期待を高める方法や，産業・組織フィールドで心理尺度の項目やボリュームを調整するノウハウを紹介します。成功事例だけでなく「失敗事例」や「葛藤」にも触れることで，心理学をビジネスで活かす「泥臭い」リアルなテクニックに迫ります。

Abstract In this work, we present a case history relative to ground penetrating radar measurements performed close to the Roman amphitheatre of Lecce, Italy. We have performed a classical data elaboration with focusing of the data and slicing putting into evidence hidden details of the structure of the monument. It will be shown that the interpretation of the ground penetrating radar data is meaningfully helped by the consultation of ancient documents, which makes the final result multidisciplinary. Finally, we have georeferenced the data matching the shape of the depth slices with the shape of the investigated roads. In fact, we did not have at disposal any differential global satellite navigation systems. Indeed, this can be a method exploitable in cases when satellite data are not available, either because the area is shadowed or because the user does not have a differential global satellite navigation system. The proposed geographical matching is achieved by means of the matching between the shape of the slices and those of the physical obstacles present in the field. Therefore, it is essentially based on a continuous of points, and so it is probably more precise than a method based on the only vertexes. In particular, the proposed procedure does not require any deformation of the shape of the slice.

The Authors report their experience on kidney oncocytomas. They found 6 cases of kidney oncocytoma in 140 cases of kidney tumors. In all cases histological slides of neoplastic masses were made with traditional stains, PAS and PAS diastase and with immunohistochemical reaction for keratins (BDK) and vimentin (DAKO clone V9). They describe one of the six cases in which the diagnosis of oncocitary G3 type carcinoma was made, and another of oncocytomatosis with borderline aspects versus oncocytomal renal cell carcinoma.
