Intelligent System of Generation of Camouflage Patterns Based on Artificial Intelligence Technologies
The work is devoted to the development of an intelligent system for generating camouflage patterns based on artificial intelligence technologies. A generative-competitive network is used as an intellectual element of this system. To solve the problem of the collapse mode, the architecture of progressively growing GANs (ProGAN) is used. The system allows you to generate completely new camouflage patterns for the selected area by iteratively improving the pattern. Due to the mechanism of restrictions, it is possible to fix the desired aspects of the drawing (color scheme, pattern, number of colors) from an existing drawing and adapt it to the desired area. The system provides the possibility of generating micropatterns on the drawings to improve camouflage at close distances. When evaluating a camouflage pattern, the system takes into account additional parameters, such as angle (from the ground and air), time and weather.

Growing Evidence for LV Unloading in VA ECMO
Impressively increasing availability of the mechanical circulatory/cardiac support systems (MCS) worldwide, together with the deepening of the knowledge of critical care medical practitioners, have inevitably led to the discussion about further improvements of intensive care associated to MCS. An appealing topic of the left ventricle (LV) overload related to VA ECMO support endangering myocardial recovery is being widely discussed within the scientific community. Unloading of LV leads to the reduction of LV end-diastolic pressure, reduction of pressure in the left atrium and decrease of the LV thrombus formation risk. Consequently, better conditions for myocardial recovery, with comfortable filling pressures and better oxygen delivery/demand ratio are achieved. The combination of VA ECMO and Impella device, also called ECPELLA seems to be a promising strategy which may bring the improvement of CS mortality rates. The series of presented trials and meta-analyses clearly showed potential benefits of this strategy. However, the ongoing research has brought a series of new questions, as whether Impella itself is the only appropriate unloading modality, or any other approach to unload LV would be beneficial in the same way? Benefits and potential risks of LV unloading and its timing are being discussed in current review.

A general approach to modeling the components of radio electronic equipment based on modern materials of functional microelectronics, in particular, ferroelectric crystals, is considered. A model of a ferroelectric capacitor is presented as a nonlinear inertial element of an electric circuit. The correspondence of the theory to the experimental results is shown.

Abstract: The aim of the present study is to examine case studies from extended investigations of runway incursions in Norway from 2009-2019. Runway incursions involves an incorrect presence of an aircraft, vehicle or person on the runway and represents a relatively frequent threat to safety in the aviation industry. A content analysis and classification of the extended investigation reports (N=7) revealed 42 explanatory factors that could be condensed into four categories related to perception, procedural errors, memory and decision-making. When mapped onto the theoretical framework of situational awareness about 70% of the explanatory factors were related to misperception of information, improper comprehension of information or incorrect projection of future actions, respectively. The present study suggests that situational awareness can serve as a useful theoretical framework to identify deficits in human factors associated with runway incursion incidents. The results from this study contributes to inform investigation into aviation hazards and training of air traffic controllers.
Read moreMethodology for Performance Evaluation of Pre Departure Sequencing Tools in terms of A-CDM concept
The article describes the proposed methodology for performance evaluation of Pre-Departure Sequencing tools. Pre-departure management delivers optimal traffic flow to the runway by route planning and accurate taxi time forecasts. Firstly, a Pre-Departure Sequencer Start-Up Manager (SUM) used by Air Navigation Services of the Czech Republic (ANS CZ) at Vaclav Havel Airport Prague (LKPR) is mentioned. The main parts deal with the proposed methodology for performance evaluation of Start-Up Manager. The methodology uses several indicators to evaluate the performance. The methodology utilizes time milestones introduced in Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) concept. It focuses especially on aircraft pre-departure sequencing processes. Methodology was tested on the Start-Up Manager used by Air Navigation Services (ANS) of the Czech Republic at Vaclav Havel Airport Prague (LKPR). Achieved performance results and its credibility in accordance with the proposed methodology are presented and discussed in the final part of this paper.
