Throughout the history of oat breeding in Altai, seven varieties have been developed and introduced into the List of Breeding Achievements. Five of them are the varieties ‘Altaiskiy krupnozerny’ (1992), ‘Korifey’ (1999), ‘Pegas’ (2009), ‘Rusich’ (2021), ‘Vektor’ (2021) for grain fodder use, two varieties ‘Argument’ (2005) and ‘Dzhigit’ (2024) are universal. The new oat variety ‘Dzhigit’ was developed by individual selection from the hybrid combination ‘Mutika 551’ x ‘Kalgan’. The crossing was carried out in 2003, the basic plant was selected in 2007. The study in the competitive testing nursery took place in 2013–2024. The State Variety Testing was in 2022, 2023. The current paper has presented the study results of oat varieties in 2022–2024. In the competitive testing nursery, the productivity of the variety ‘Dzhigit’ sown in fallow varied from 4.98 to 6.83 t/ha. The mean productivity was 5.78 t/ha, while the standard variety ‘Vektor’ had 5.12 t/ha with an increase of 0.66 t/ha or 12.9 %. On average, the productivity after the grain forecrop was 3.52 t/ha, which exceeded that of the standard variety by 0.58 t/ha or 19.7 %. Over the years of study, ‘Dzhigit’ has proved to be adapted to unfavorable environmental factors. The advantages of the new variety are as follows: large productivity of grain and green mass, grain size, resistance to lodging and loose smut. The variety ‘Dzhigit’ has been included in the List of breeding achievements approved for use since 2024 in the West Siberian (10), East Siberian (11) regions for grain and mowing purposes, in the Far Eastern (12) for grain purpose.

The purpose of research is to study the effect of feeding various vitamin and mineral supplements as part of the diet of dry cows on the subsequent milk production of animals. Objectives: to determine the most effective vitamin and mineral supplement used when feeding dry cows, to study the effect of feeding these supplements on the milk productivity of milking cows. Research was carried out on the basis of the PZ Komsomolskoe in the Altai Region in 2022 on black-and-white cows during the dry period. Using the analogue method, three groups of animals of 10 animals each were formed. According to the experimental scheme, the cows of the control group received the main diet of the farm; the cows of the experimental groups were fed 100 g per head per day of Kaufit Dry Extra and Kaufit Dry Complete as part of the diet. It was found that the average daily milk yield of cows of the second experimental group that received the vitamin and mineral supplement Kaufit Dry Complete was 23 % higher than that of animals in the control group (without supplement) (p < 0.05). The cows of the first experimental group (Kaufit Dry Extra) produced 5 kg (4 %) more milk fat than the analogues in the control group. The amount of milk protein in experimental group II, whose animals were fed Kaufit Dry Complete at a dosage of 100 g per head per day, increased by 16 kg (22 %) compared to cows in the control group.

In the conditions of a scientific and economic experiment in the mid-mountain zone of the Altai Republic, the effect on the growth performance of Simmental calves of the probiotic drug SBT-Lacto and the phytobiotic thyme extract, which were fed to the animals with milk in the first month of their life, was studied. Calves of the 1st experimental group received thyme extract from the 22nd to 42nd days of life, the 2nd group - SBT-Lacto from the 1st to 21st days, and the 3rd experimental group - SBT-Lacto from the 1st day. x to the 21st day and thyme extract from the 22nd to the 42nd day. It was found that the absolute increase in body weight in the 1st experimental group did not significantly exceed the control indicator by 5.20 %; in the 2nd experimental group, the excess was 12.49 % and was significant. The maximum effect was obtained in the 3rd experimental group. The absolute increase in body weight of animals in this group significantly exceeded the control indicator - by 16.92 %. Thus, sequential separate feeding of thyme extract and probiotics to calves had a more pronounced positive effect on their growth. The improvement in growth rates of calves in the experimental groups can be explained by the normalisation of the composition of the intestinal microflora under the influence of the probiotic drug SBT-Lacto and the activation of digestive processes by substances contained in the thyme extract. A synergistic effect was obtained with the combined sequential use of these factors.

This article shows an installation for encapsulating food products. Ensuring food security, the constant satisfaction of the population's needs for basic foodstuffs, is one of the main directions of ensuring the national security of any state. There is still an open question of obtaining high-quality capsules with properties and characteristics that dissolve in the desired environment, retain the therapeutic effect and at the same time meet the requirements of the consumer (ease of use, efficiency, reasonable cost). An installation for producing microcapsules was made of such parts: they are Mercury ATX Switching Power Supply-450W power supply; aquarium tube; glass washer pump; variable resistor with 10K switch; DC-dc DC voltage stabilizer, LM2596S module; gelatin, sodium alginate solution; electromagnetic mixer; plastic sprayer for spraying water (nozzle); calcium chloride solution. There are many technologies of the encapsulation process. Capsules can be obtained by drip, disk spraying methods. In this work, sodium alginate and gelatin were selected as the encapsulating material. A gelatin solution with the addition of sodium alginate was used as an aqueous solution of the gel-forming mixture. The best option is the composition of capsules containing 0.5% alginate and gelatin, the solution should be used at a temperature of 40° C. Capsules were obtained by the drip method. Capsules obtained from 0.5% sodium alginate were soft, with a smooth surface, with an average size of 2,0×10-3м.

In all types of cereals corn has the highest energy content; the chemical composition of corn is distinguished by high starch content up to 70 %. Cows are able to give high productivity when the rational use of this feed as part of the ration. The purpose of the work was to compare the nutritional content of wet flattened corn grain and the influence of feeding it as an additive to the main ration on the dairy productivity of cows. Two groups of dry cows-analogues have been formed for the experiment. Wet flattened corn grain has been fed to mature cows for 110 days, starting from the dry period (30 days before the expected calving) and during the beginning of lactation (starting from 15 days and for 60 days). High starch content has been found in the wet flattened corn grain – 58,5 %. The results of control milking after calving at the period of increasing the milk have been shown a sharp increase in daily milk yield in both groups: in the control group up to 21,97 and in the experimental group up to 29,37 kg of milk. The difference was 7,4 kg and was significant at P ≤ 0,001. After a month of productivity control, there was the increase in the average daily milk yield compared to the previous month by 2,33 kg in the control group and by 1,75 kg in the experimental group, amounting to 24,3 and 31,12 kg, respectively. The difference between the groups was 6,82 kg of milk and was significant at P ≤ 0,05. According to the results of feeding wet flattened corn grain as part of the ration to cows during the dry period and at the period of increasing the milk yield (for 60 days), then average of 1897,9 kg of milk per head has been obtained from cows of the experimental group, which was by 268,0 kg more than from analogues of the control group.

The adoption of Smart Grid devices throughout utility networks will effect tremendous change in grid operations and usage of electricity over the next two decades. The changes in ways to control loads, coupled with increased penetration of renewable energy sources, offer a new set of challenges in balancing consumption and generation. Increased deployment of energy storage devices in the distribution grid will help make this process happen more effectively and improve system performance. This paper addresses the new types of storage being utilized for grid support and the ways they are integrated into the grid.
