In this study, the mechanical properties of screwed joints using Glued Laminated Bamboo(GLB) were investigated.

The rapidly increasing volume of healthcare data, including Electronic Health Records (EHR), medical imaging, and sensor data from wearables, presents significant opportunities to improve patient outcomes. This paper introduces an AI-powered healthcare analytics framework that integrates predictive modeling and multisource medical records, enabling early disease detection, personalized treatment, and proactive decision support. The framework leverages advanced machine learning techniques, including ensemble learning and deep learning, to derive actionable insights from both structured and unstructured big data. Key outcomes of the study demonstrate that incorporating clinical, genomic, and real-time sensor data enhances the accuracy and speed of diagnoses, resulting in improved prediction rates and reduced latency in patient care. This AI-assisted system has the potential to revolutionize healthcare delivery by supporting value-based care and personalized patient management.

The expansion of critical applications using distributed systems has established significant worries about protection of data and security throughout networks. Conventional protective methods struggle to gain control of decentralized network environments because trust and control distribution occurs among multiple participants. This study investigates how blockchain technology with machine learning approaches creates better data protection and system defense in distributed environments. Through blockchain technology users gain an unchangeable open ledger system which maintains data purity and through machine learning they get sophisticated analytic methods for spotting irregularities and forecasting security threats coupled with optimal security enhancement. The research examines existing approaches followed by a framework description for blockchain integration and their dual effects on security protocol enhancement. The paper demonstrates how blockchain and machine learning combine to solve modern distributed system security requirements as well as privacy protection and safe sharing in financial and healthcare sectors and IoT systems through an extensive assessment. The last part examines both research obstacles and contractions for the developing sector of study.

Recent accounts in Boston highlight tensions among individuals experiencing homelessness, individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorder, service providers, advocates, residents, and business owners in geographies colloquially referred to as “Mass and Cass.” The dynamic frictions of lived experience unfold in public spaces entangled in a field of social, political, economic, and spatial conditions. The Boston Architectural College, mission-driven to “provide excellence in design education emerging from practice and accessible to diverse communities,” sits less than a mile from these geographies. A curriculum in applied learning, where practicing and learning occurs concurrently, distinguishes the BAC’s educational approach from co-op or externship models. Its educational agenda recognizes the vital dialogue between academia and practice and locates teaching and learning directly within these conduits. This research-driven project focuses on the spatial, sociocultural geographies of Mass and Cass and examines the pedagogies of community participation and engagement in design education. The project addresses the nature of interdisciplinary teaching and learning in design settings through examining modes of critical thinking, listening, reflection, and translation as integral to civic spatial practices. Using the tools of spatial designers and conceptual frameworks from other disciplines, students attempt to understand the agents, actors, and forces at play in the conditions of Mass and Cass. Through critical inquiry into the sociocultural contexts that characterize the spatial narratives of Mass and Cass, students (and city agencies as collaborators) seek to identify moments when design or designers have, may have, or could have intervened in these contested territories.

Wood frame construction is made up of nominal 2‐in. framing members spaced closely together and normally concealed by interior finish materials such as gypsum board or wood paneling. Wood product substrates are classified in two main facing material categories: decorative laminates/overlays and wood veneers. The strength of wood varies with the duration of the load. As a natural product wood varies greatly in appearance and structural properties. Composite and engineered wood salvaged from lumber production make use of wasted materials. Wood and wood products may be finished with transparent or opaque coatings or serve as a base for applied plastic laminates. Thermoplastic sheets are semi‐rigid sheets or rolls, stock‐extruded from a nonporous acrylic/polyvinyl chloride alloy. High‐pressure decorative laminates are formed under heat and pressure from resin‐impregnated kraft paper substrates with decorative plastic face materials and a clear protective top sheet.

Playing Escape from DIAB (DIAB) and Nanoswarm (NANO), epic video game adventures, increased fruit and vegetable consumption among a multi-ethnic sample of 10-12 year old children during pilot testing. Key elements of both games were educational mini-games embedded in the overall game that promoted knowledge acquisition regarding diet, physical activity and energy balance. 95-100% of participants demonstrated mastery of these mini-games suggesting knowledge acquisition. This article describes the process of designing and developing the educational mini-games. A secondary purpose was to explore the experience of children while playing the games. The educational games were based on Social Cognitive and Mastery Learning Theories. A multidisciplinary team of behavioral nutrition, PA, and video game experts designed, developed, and tested the mini-games. Alpha testing revealed children generally liked the mini-games and found them to be reasonably challenging. Process evaluation data from pilot testing revealed almost all participants completed nearly all educational mini-games in a reasonable amount of time suggesting feasibility of this approach. Future research should continue to explore the use of video games in educating children to achieve healthy behavior changes.

The authors discuss how tangible user interface objects can be important educational and entertainment tools in environmental education. The authors describe their interactive installation artwork Reefs on the Edge, which incorporates tangible user interface objects and combines environmental science and multiple art forms to explore coral reef ecosystems that are threatened by the effects of climate change. The authors/artists argue that the use of tangible user interface in an installation-art setting can help engage and inform the public about crucial environmental issues.
