Perception and Aspirations of Undergraduate Agricultural Students toward Agricultural Careers in Coimbatore District, Tamil Nadu
This study examined the perceptions and aspirations of undergraduate agricultural students toward agricultural careers in Coimbatore District, Tamil Nadu. A descriptive survey design was used to collect data from 69 students through a structured questionnaire. The study analyzed students’ level of interest, preferred career options, motivating factors, and perceived challenges related to agricultural professions. The results indicated that a majority of students showed positive interest in agricultural careers, with government employment and agribusiness identified as the most preferred options. Personal interest, opportunities for innovation, and contribution to society were key motivating factors influencing career choice. However, limited job opportunities and low financial returns were perceived as major barriers affecting students’ willingness to pursue agriculture as a long-term profession. The study suggests strengthening career guidance, internship opportunities, and entrepreneurship training to improve employability and encourage greater youth participation in the agricultural sector.

ABSTRACT Migration often presents unique challenges that significantly impact the mental health of individuals and communities. This study focuses on the mental health problems prevalent among 50 family members of the Kura’s tribes who migrated to Chennai. Utilizing a structured questionnaire, the study assesses three key domains of mental health: general health, depression, and anxiety. Data were analyzed using SPSS software, and findings were statistically evaluated using descriptive statistics and ANOVA. The results reveal a high prevalence of stress, depression, and anxiety among respondents. Over half reported challenges in concentration, decision-making, and enjoyment of daily activities, with notable levels of self-doubt and unhappiness. Depression screening highlighted widespread fatigue, sleep disturbances, and appetite changes, with over a quarter reporting suicidal thought. Anxiety screening revealed excessive worry, restlessness, and irritability as common issues. ANOVA results indicated no significant gender-based differences in mental health states, suggesting that mental health challenges are uniformly distributed across genders within the community. These findings underline the need for culturally sensitive mental health interventions tailored to the Kura’s tribes. The study concludes that migration-induced stress and socio-cultural transitions profoundly affect the mental health of the Kura’s tribes, emphasizing the necessity of comprehensive mental health strategies to mitigate these effects and improve overall well-being.
Read moreArabic Literary Influences and Representations in the Poetry of Iqbal: A Cultural and Thematic Analysis
This research examines the representations and influence of Arabic literature in the poetry of Muhammad Iqbal, renowned as the poet of the East. Despite never traveling to Arab lands, Iqbal's profound mastery of the Arabic language and literature profoundly shaped his poetic style, themes, and symbolism. The study employs a literary-analytical approach to identify how Iqbal drew from classical Arabic poetry, Quranic texts, and Arab cultural history. Through close reading of poems such as "The Mosque of Córdoba" and "Khidr-e-Rah," the analysis reveals his extensive use of Arabic vocabulary, adaptation of motifs like ruins and longing (al-atlal), and symbolic references to Arab figures and history. The findings demonstrate that Iqbal creatively reshaped these elements to formulate a modern poetic discourse centered on Islamic revival and civilizational renewal. His work thus serves as a bridge between classical Arabic literary traditions and contemporary Islamic thought. This study highlights the centrality of Arabic heritage in Iqbal's vision and contributes to understanding the intertextual connections within the Islamic literary sphere.
Read moreAI‐Based Frequency Regulation for a Deregulated Two‐Area Power System
Maintenance of power quality, especially system frequency and voltage stability are important for reliable power system operation. The essential role of Load Frequency Control exists in controlling both frequency fluctuations and tieline power flow changes that arise from abrupt changes in load conditions. The restructuring and deregulation of electricity systems require LFC strategies to evolve in order to fulfill electricity industry requirements. This part examines LFC within two-area market structures by incorporating wind turbines with Doubly Fed Induction Generator. The wind unit controls inertia, enhancing LFC performance. While conventional Proportional-Integral controllers offer effective regulation, determining optimal gain constants remains a challenge. To address this, an AI-based LFC approach is utilized to optimize control parameters. Performance evaluation depends on the Integral Square Error criterion. AI-driven LFC brings substantial advantages to frequency regulation through its capacity to make immediate changes in power generation. But there are also major issues associated with it, which include data integrity challenges, cyber threats, as well as deficiencies in AI models. Operational risks are also reduced by integrating resilience techniques, real-time monitoring, and compliance with regulations. System dynamics are analyzed under both bilateral contract conditions and contract violations. The results showing that the suggested AI based PI controller maximize response efficiency, and the combination of wind energy enhances overall system performance.
