From Closed Borders to Open Gates: Central Asia as a New Destination for Russian Migration after the Russian Invasion of Ukraine
Abstract The Russian migration into Central Asia in the aftermath of the Russian invasion of Ukraine represents a new angle in which Central Asia is the place that receives Russian migration. As such, it offers a new perspective on mass migration motivations which, as described below, are predetermined not only by the political environment, and the personal norms and values that collide with the grand narrative in Russia but also significantly influenced by the economic and social motivations of relocating Russians. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to clarify the position of Central Asia for such immigrants as a new international migration destination, based on the narratives, motivations, and expectations of relocants/migrants from Russia and Belarus.

GIS Based Analysis of Land Use Dynamics in Bishkek
Residents of urban areas experience a variety of difficulties as a result of intensive urbanization, including clogged infrastructure, air pollution, and waste management. Preservation of green spaces provides a vital role in maintaining at least a minimum natural balance for residents of urban area. Maintaining and preserving the sustainable development of infrastructure is an important element of urban planning. City planners thus face a difficulty in providing urban dwellers with efficient and sustainable green spaces. Growing problems in the field of land use and landscaping of urban areas require an operational assessment of the existing situation. GIS technology offers a powerful tool for assessing these issues and developing solutions for sustainable urban development. GIS-based land use assessment can provide valuable information on the distribution of urban land use types, which can help identify areas of high land use intensity and potential for urban green space development. The use of satellite imagery and other methods can help track changes in land-use patterns over time, which can inform urban planning and decision-making processes. Based on GIS analysis and remote sensing, an assessment was made of changes in territories and the distribution of green spaces in 4 urban districts of Bishkek. These changes were assessed using LANDSAT 4-5, LANDSAT-7, LANDSAT-8 and Sentinel-2 imagery. The evaluation category included such areas as: parks, squares and street trees. Areas with a level of green space coverage for different parts of the city were identified by utilizing GIS technology to analyze the spatial structures of green spaces. The spatial analysis also made it possible to identify priority areas for the development of new green spaces. For this study, we selected all green areas of the city of Bishkek. The southern region of the city is the most interesting from the perspective of how the area of the city has altered as a result of the elimination of green spaces. This territory was originally designed taking into account the zone of influence of the Issyk-Ata fault and developed to achieve and comply with certain seismological standards. Our study thus informs the characteristics of the growth of the city of Bishkek over the previous few decades by providing information on the distribution of land use types and green areas.
Read moreDeveloping rural communication through digital innovation for village tourism
This study examines how digital information facilitates communication in the tourism industry to spur innovation in rural communities. Digital platforms have helped Pentingsari Village improve its tourism economy and document its development. This study used content analysis on social media and online reviews to examine Pentingsari Village's change from the New Regime era to the present day. Our research reveals minor alterations in popular perceptions towards village tourism and its effects on local culture and land ownership - effective use of Internet platforms has changed negative perceptions about the tourism industry's exploitation of indigenous land and culture. This approach is viewed as an innovative means of achieving sustainable development while preserving the cultural heritage of local communities and bolstering their economies. This study is a blueprint for how other rural communities can harness similar insights to enhance their well-being. It demonstrates how rural towns can draw inspiration from Pentingsari's utilisation of digital communication to stimulate creativity, showcase their unique attractions, and monitor their progress via digital platforms, which is instrumental in attracting tourists and investors to these areas.
Read more"History Of Borderlands" And Qing-Oirat Relations
The article discusses some features in the study of the history of the Oirats. Oirats in the historical science of China constitute an important component in studies focused on the "history of the border regions." Currently, world oriental studies are actively researching the history of the formation of the borderlands of Central Asia, which includes the territories of China, Russia, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and other areas. The authors have researched the trends in Chinese historiography on the topic of the report. The authors also present a report on modern studies of the 21st century in foreign historiography, whose adherents refer to the concept known as the “New Qing History”. In this scientific field, the emphasis is on the fact that the Manchu origin of the Qing power directly influenced the multi-ethnic essence of the Qing Empire, which most of all focused on the border regions of the empire. Non-Chinese ethnic groups were located on the border territories of the empire, including the Oirat ethnopolitical formations. The Manchu elites adopted a more flexible approach due to their non-Han origins. The Manchu elites developed institutions and frontier policies that were different from those of the previous proper Chinese dynasties.

After the collapse of the USSR in 1991, during the transition from a command to a market economy, the attitude in the Kyrgyz Republic toward competencies in the English language shifted significantly. This article briefly illustrates the priorities for general secondary education during the Soviet period from 1922 until 1991. In 1991, necessary transitions were made by the newly developed Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic to meet the needs of the emerging global economy. The main aim of this article is to highlight how the challenges in current and ongoing reforms are being discussed and addressed in public secondary schools.
Read moreDetermination of acute changes in new electrocardiography parameters during veno-venous extracorporeal membrane oxygenation support
IntroductionVeno-venous extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) support has been used for respiratory insufficiency. Its role in blood oxygenation has been well documented. However, the effects on myocardial electrophysiology have not been studied in detail.AimTo reveal the acute effects of extracorporeal support on new electrocardiography (ECG) parameters in patients with preserved left ventricular functions.Material and methodsThis retrospective study was conducted in three separate clinics. Sixteen consecutive patients under veno-venous ECMO for respiratory insufficiency who soon could be successfully weaned were analyzed. Immediately before and 2 hours after initiation of ECMO, ECG was performed. P wave, QT, QTc and T wave peak to end were measured and calculated from obtained surface 12-lead ECG.ResultsThere were statistically significant differences immediately before and 2 hours after initiation of ECMO treatment in the Tp-e interval and Tp-e/QTc ratio, the maximum QTc, minimum QTc, and QTc dispersion values, and P wave dispersion (p < 0.0001 for each). All ECG parameters were significantly decreased with ECMO support.ConclusionsAll atrial and ventricular repolarization parameters were decreased in patients with VV-ECMO support. Despite the limited role of ECMO in intractable arrhythmias, the findings of the study revealed that ECMO therapy for respiratory insufficiency may improve atrial ventricular depolarization and repolarization. Therefore, simple 12-lead surface ECG with new ECG parameters may be evaluated for better outcomes.
