Emergency departments (EDs) in the US treat large numbers of people with opioid use disorder (OUD), but most health systems do not equip EDs to provide OUD care. CA Bridge has supported the implementation of low-threshold, ED-initiated medications for OUD bundled with harm reduction and patient navigation in more than 80percent of California EDs. Using grant reporting and California controlled substances prescribing data, we assessed CA Bridge implementation from July2022 through December2023, as well as 2022 California statewide ED buprenorphine prescribing. There were 165,671 patient navigator encounters and 44,996 instances of buprenorphine treatment at CA Bridge hospitals; patient navigator and buprenorphine treatment rates at public hospitals were more than 50percent higher than at private hospitals. In 2022, across the entire state, 1,737 California emergency clinicians wrote 6,382 buprenorphine prescriptions; 36percent of the people who were given those prescriptions received a subsequent buprenorphine prescription within forty days. Our findings suggest that EDs can reach large numbers of people with OUD, and buprenorphine uptake is high.

Texture synthesis is a fundamental problem in computer graphics that would benefit various applications. Existing methods are effective in handling 2D image textures. In contrast, many real-world textures contain meso-structure in the 3D geometry space, such as grass, leaves, and fabrics, which cannot be effectively modeled using only 2D image textures. We propose a novel texture synthesis method with Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF) to capture and synthesize textures from given multi-view images. In the proposed NeRF texture representation, a scene with fine geometric details is disentangled into the meso-structure textures and the underlying base shape. This allows textures with meso-structure to be effectively learned as latent features situated on the base shape, which are fed into a NeRF decoder trained simultaneously to represent the rich view-dependent appearance. Using this implicit representation, we can synthesize NeRF-based textures through patch matching of latent features. However, inconsistencies between the metrics of the reconstructed content space and the latent feature space may compromise the synthesis quality. To enhance matching performance, we further regularize the distribution of latent features by incorporating a clustering constraint. In addition to generating NeRF textures over a planar domain, our method can also synthesize NeRF textures over curved surfaces, which are practically useful. Experimental results and evaluations demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach.

O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar crescentes nveis de incluso de extrato de erva-mate como aditivo na nutrio animal e seus efeitos na sade, performance, nutrio e digestibilidade das dietas, metanognese in vivo, diversidade do microbioma ruminal e qualidade de carne. Para realizao deste trabalho, foram utilizados trinta e seis cordeiros machos no castrados e cruzados (Texel x Dorper x Santa Ins) com peso inicial mdio de 23,77 3,70 kg. Os animais foram divididos em nove grupos, os 4 animais de cada grupo tinham pesos similares, e foram sorteados aleatoriamente para um dos 4 tratamentos, que era composto de um controle e outros 3 tratamentos com nveis crescentes de incluso de extrato de erva-mate (1, 2 e 4%). Os trs primeiros dias, todos os animais receberam o tratamento controle, e no terceiro dia foram coletados liquido ruminal via sonda orogstrica e sangue para obteno de valores iniciais, ento comearam a receber o tratamento proposto. Pesagens peridicas foram realizadas para acompanhamento e diariamente era mensurado o consumo de matria seca, sendo que um resduo de 10% era desejado para caracterizar uma alimentao ad libtum. No 30 dia de confinamento, 24 dos 36 animais foram equipados com sacolas de coletas totais de fezes, que ficaram em adaptao por 3 dias e em coleta por 5 dias para o ensaio de digestibilidade aparente das dietas. No 39 dia os mesmos 24 animais foram equipados com os aparatos para mensurao de metano, utilizando a tcnica do gs traador SF6, foram 3 dias de adaptao aos equipamentos e 5 dias de coletas. Os animais permaneceram em confinamento por 53 dias, ao final deste perodo, uma ltima pesagem foi realizada e medidas de biometria corporal foram realizadas, coleta de liquido ruminal e sangue foram realizadas. Aps 16h de jejum os animais foram abatido e mensuraes de rendimento de carcaa e biometria de carcaa foram realizadas. Uma amostra de msculo Longissimus thoracis foi coletada e imediatamente armazenada em nitrognio lquido aps o abate para anlise de metabolomica. Uma outra amostra, aps 24h de refrigerao foi coletada e armazenada vcuo para as anlises de qualidade de carne. O delineamento experimental foi em blocos casualizados e os resultados foram analisados pelo SAS studio 15.1 pelo procedimento MIXED. Os resultados mostram que nveis moderados (at 2% de incluso de extrato de erva-mate pode favorecer o sistema imune dos animais e o desempenho geral. Assim como aumentar a ingesto de matria seca e digestibilidade de alguns nutrientes, como fibra total e FDN. Maior musculatura e menor capa de gordura foi observada nos animais que recebiam o extrato de mate,

Introduction: Isolation of pulmonary veins is efficacious in treating atrial fibrillation. Conventionally isolation is achieved with point-by-point radiofrequency ablation (RFA). However conventional RFA is time consuming, has limited efficacy, and is associated with a significant risk of complications. A range of multi-electrode catheters have been trialed, with variable success. To address these challenges, we developed a novel multi-electrode balloon catheter. This RF balloon catheter has multiple irrigated electrodes on the surface of a 28mm balloon. The catheter incorporates inter balloon cameras to provide real time images of electrode contact. A multi-channel generator delivers power to user-selected electrodes in unipolar or bipolar mode. Methods: Five Yorkshire pigs were treated with the novel balloon catheter. The catheter was delivered over the wire through a steerable sheath to the left atrium. Inter balloon imaging was used to confirm electrode position and contact. Electrodes were selected for bipolar ablation at the antrum of the targeted pulmonary vein. Following the procedures the pigs were sacrificed and the hearts and surrounding tissues examined. Cardiac tissue was then incubated in triphenyl tetrazolium chloride dye and examined. Results: In all five pigs the catheter could be delivered to the left atrium, and pulmonary vein ablation sets delivered. Pulmonary vein lesions were all transmural, 1–5mm in depth. No endocardial thrombus or complications were observed. Conclusion: Ablations using this novel multi-electrode balloon catheter provided continuous transmural lesions in the left atrium without thrombus nor injury to subjacent structures in this initial animal evaluation. The system provides a means of positioning, mapping, irrigating and creating multi-geometry lesions with a single catheter. The direct visualization within the balloon provides optimization of lesion placement. These initial results in swine suggest that this balloon catheter may be efficacious in ablation of atrial fibrillation, and warrant trials in humans.

ABSTRACT Various quad-flat no-lead (QFN) packages, land grid arrays (LGA) and ball grid arrays (BGA) are being combined on a number of products with ever increasing component densities and complexities. The bottom terminated component’s (BTC) small footprint, low cost, and excellent electrical as well as thermal performance make them a preferred solution for a wide range of applications. The purpose of this study is to determine which in-process optimization techniques may be utilized to reduce voids and HiP type defects on complex assemblies. Techniques such as reflow profile adjustment and stencil design modifications will be explored, as they are applied to a 6 layer Cu-OSP test vehicle built with multiple devices including QFN, LGA, BGA, dPAK and other components. A common SAC alloy, Halogen-Free, No-Clean, Type 3 solder paste was used for these tests.
