Scientific concerns have been growing for several decades about the rapidly rising concentrations of greenhouse gases—CO2, methane and the CFCs—in the global atmosphere due to human activities, and the predicted global warming. Studies of the technical feasibility and economic costs of reducing emissions have only become a growth industry in the past few years. You have heard about the U.S. studies in the presentations of the past day and a half. This afternoon we will focus on similar evaluations in other countries.
