The rapid integration of generative AI into everyday life underscores the need to move beyond unidirectional alignment models that only adapt AI to human values. This workshop focuses on bidirectional human-AI alignment, a dynamic, reciprocal process where humans and AI co-adapt through interaction, evaluation, and value-centered design. Building on our past CHI 2025 BiAlign SIG and ICLR 2025 Workshop, this workshop will bring together interdisciplinary researchers from HCI, AI, social sciences and more domains to advance value-centered AI and reciprocal human-AI collaboration. We focus on embedding human and societal values into alignment research, emphasizing not only steering AI toward human values but also enabling humans to critically engage with and evolve alongside AI systems. Through talks, interdisciplinary discussions, and collaborative activities, participants will explore methods for interactive alignment, frameworks for societal impact evaluation, and strategies for alignment in dynamic contexts. This workshop aims to bridge the disciplines' gaps and establish a shared agenda for responsible, reciprocal human-AI futures.

The paper is concerned with the measurement of scalar physical quantities at nodes on the $(d-1)$-dimensional unit sphere surface in the \hbox{$d$-dimensional} Euclidean space and the spherical RBF interpolation of the data obtained. In particular, we consider $d=3$. We employ an inverse multiquadric as the radial basis function and the corresponding trend is a polynomial of degree 2 defined in Cartesian coordinates. We prove the existence of the interpolation formula of the type considered. The formula can be useful in the interpretation of many physical measurements. We show an example concerned with the measurement of anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility having extensive applications in geosciences and present numerical difficulties connected with the high condition number of the matrix of the system defining the interpolation.

As you’ve learned, loops are mighty, and they are not trivial. That is why all the remaining chapters of the book are dedicated to understanding loops better. Let’s proceed to some more difficult exercises.

In this chapter, you will study several more advanced topics concerning numbers and calculations, such as more numeric types, memory consumption, and overflow. If you do not need this much detail at this time, you can safely skip this chapter or just skim it.

Staying with the topic of conditions, you will now proceed to more complex examples. In this chapter, you will meet tasks that can be solved using several conditions in a single program.

Variables of type string, int, double, and bool always contain a single value—text, a single number, or a single yes/no value. However, such “atomic” values can be grouped into aggregates that are called objects. A single object can contain multiple values that are called its components or members. Grouping can go so far that an object can contain several other objects inside itself, for example. In this chapter, you are going to learn about objects.

Get started using the C# programming language. Based on the author’s 15 years of experience teaching beginners, the book provides you with a step-by-step introduction to the principles of programming, or rather, how to think like a programmer. The task-solution approach will get you immersed, with minimum theory and maximum action. What You Will Learn: Understand what programming is all about Write simple, but non-trivial, programs Become familiar with basic programming constructs such as statements, types, variables, conditions, and loops Learn to think like a programmer and combine these programming constructs in new ways Get to know C# as a modern, mainstream programming language, and Visual Studio as one of the world’s most popular programming tools.

The Burst Observer and Optical Transient Exploring System (BOOTES) is a network of telescopes that allows the continuous monitoring of transient astrophysical sources. It was originally devoted to the study of the optical emission from gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) that occur in the Universe. In this paper we show the initial results obtained using the spectrograph COLORES (mounted on BOOTES-2), when observing compact objects of diverse nature.

In this abstract, we discuss some fundamental issues of full waveform inversion (FWI). We believe that a successful waveform inversion should emphasize traveltime information and downplay the role of amplitude information. This is achieved by using an objective function that measures the cross-correlation between observed and synthetic data. Further, we propose that for FWI of reflection data in the data domain, migration and demigration processes are necessary to reduce the well-known cycle-skip problem.

An intensive 3D-simulation method for designing living environment assisting human behaviors has been developed. Basic motions necessary for daily life such as "arm-reaching, stand-up and sit-down, go up/down the stairs, etc" may be one of the most important factors for efficient design scheme. In this study, a rich human-body model with 44-DOF has been utilized in formulating basic daily-motion modules of human. Using multi-agent simulation technique with those modules, suitable living as well as housing environments can be designed with less efforts comparing to the mock-up type designing method widely used in industry.
