ABSTRACT The revolution in the organization of work, induced by the COVID-19 pandemic, has had, and will have, some long-lasting consequences on how jobs will be performed, affecting adult life well-being. What we know so far about the determinant of satisfaction for work–life balance may not be valid anymore considering this sudden revolution in work organization. This paper presents an empirical analysis based on a cross-sectional survey of 803 workers in October 2020. Results suggest that the profile that benefits the most from the revolution in work organization is represented by a male, married, public sector worker working remotely and not living in the southern part of Italy.

The SWITCH-ON Open Data Registration tool (ODR Tool) is a user friendly web tool supporting the basic profile of the SWITCH-ON Meta Data Model (D2.6). In a wizard-like setup, an end-user can describe the dataset with a limited number of compulsory meta-data fields and a DOI (digital object identifier) can be obtained from zenodo.org. As an optional step a dataset can be selected for upload. In this way, both newly produced datasets (e.g. by a researcher) or an existing dataset (available on the internet and findable by a URL) can be properly registered with the required amount of meta-data.

This paper gives an overview of a decision support system for scientists and city planners which shall be suitable to assess climate change effects on urban environments, and which shall enable city planners to investigate different measures to cope with potential effects of climate change. The system named SUDPLAN (Sustainable Urban Development Planner) is currently under development and the first version of the SUDPLAN software will be available when the HICSS conference is held. SUDPLAN is a project funded under the European Framework Program FP7.
