Purpose This study aimed to investigate citizens' trust in Bangladesh police among different age groups and also identify the factors influencing trust in the police that differ across age groups. Design/methodology/approach This study was designed with a cross-sectional quantitative focus, and primary data were collected from urban residents in four major cities in Bangladesh. A total of 1,662 valid responses were collected employing multistage sampling to investigate the level of trust in police and its determinants according to age groups. Findings Overall, trust in police was moderate and declined with age, with younger adults reporting higher trust than older adults. Pooled ordinary least squares regression results indicate that location and education are significant predictors of trust in police, while prior police contact is associated with lower trust. Interaction analyses reveal limited age heterogeneity: education is the only factor for which the association with trust varies significantly by age, showing a stronger negative association among younger respondents. Research limitations/implications Although levels of trust vary across age groups, one pattern remains consistent: negative encounters with the police significantly erode citizens' trust. This erosion of trust has long-term consequences for social stability, cooperation and effective law enforcement. Understanding these dynamics provides an important opportunity for reform. Originality/value This study's originality lies in the large sample size and specific context in the exploration of urban citizens' trust based on age groups.

In sociological research, family pattern has attracted attention because of its continuous transformation. This study aims to identify and explain changes in family types, relationships and interactions in Dhaka City. While previous studies mostly explained family types and relationships, this study also analyses changes in family interactions. Using mixed methods (surveys and in-depth interviews) with purposive random sampling among university students, service holders and teachers. The study reports that majority of respondents live in nuclear families, indicating the breakdown of joint families. Significant factors behind this shift involve technological advancement, cultural expansion, economic and institutional development and surroundings. Individualism fosters equality, choice, freedom, self-identity and weak kinship ties, while ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies) reduce family time and interactions. Keywords: Family pattern, Family change, Individualism, ICTs, Family relationships

The implementation of multicultural Islamic Education in Islamic-based universities often creates its own dynamics, especially for non-Muslim students who are part of an inclusive academic environment. This study aims to describe the response of non-Muslim students to learning Islamic Education in a multicultural context at Muhammadiyah Mataram University. This Islamic campus is open to diversity. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with a field research design, this study involved 75 non-Muslim students from seven study programs through a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participatory observation in class and campus social spaces, and documentation of curriculum and academic policies. Data validity was maintained with a method triangulation strategy. Data analysis was conducted using Miles and Huberman's model, which involves the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the responses of non-Muslim students were mixed: some showed appreciation for the inclusive approach and universal values in Islamic Education, while others felt less engaged because the materials were considered too normative and exclusive. Factors such as the lecturer's pedagogical approach, the relevance of the material, and the social dynamics in a multicultural classroom greatly influenced their perceptions. This research recommendation encourages higher education policymakers to strengthen curricula and teaching methods that are dialogical, adaptive, and inclusive, thereby increasing tolerance and fostering peaceful coexistence in multicultural campus environments.

This study explores the impact of project management–oriented digital collaboration tools—specifically Asana, Trello, and Jira—on project delivery timelines in remote technology teams, with a particular focus on mid-sized firms (50–500 employees). Leveraging an exploratory sequential mixed-methods approach grounded in a pragmatic paradigm, the research integrates qualitative thematic analysis of secondary case studies with quantitative survey data from remote team professionals. Drawing on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Task-Technology Fit (TTF) framework, the study examines how tool usage intensity, organizational support, tool integration, and communication efficiency influence project delivery outcomes. Findings suggest that higher levels of digital tool adoption are associated with reduced timeline deviations, particularly when communication is efficient and supported by structured onboarding and platform integration. The study identifies communication efficiency as a key mediating factor and underscores the moderating roles of organizational training and task-tool alignment. Regression analysis further confirms that tool usage alone is not sufficient—its impact is conditioned by contextual variables such as team size, project complexity, and geographic dispersion. By focusing on mid-sized tech firms, the study fills a critical gap in existing literature, which often generalizes findings across organizations of varying scale. The research contributes to theory by extending TAM and TTF to outcome-focused variables such as delivery timelines and offers practical insights for managers aiming to optimize remote workflows. It also holds significance for software developers, policymakers, and scholars interested in digital transformation, remote work, and agile project management.

Health is an expensive blessing from Allah SWT that is often forgotten by humans. The prevalence of GERD Anxiety disease today has become a new phenomenon among society. Stress factors play a major role in triggering GERD Anxiety. GERD Anxiety is a disease that is closely related to mental health. Therefore, GERD Anxiety is a complex disease with many factors that cause it. If the main cause is not treated, the healing process for GERD Anxiety will be more difficult and even worsen the sufferer's condition. The effects of stress will result in GERD Anxiety. Stress levels are increasing, so the prevalence of GERD Anxiety in society is also increasing. The connection between the digestive nerves and the brain nerves makes it a key role in human mental and physical health. In this research, it is applied in dealing with the treatment of physical and psychological illnesses using the perspective of Q.S. Al-Baqarah verse 153. The hypothesis in this research is to explain to the public what GERD Anxiety really is, and explain the study of the scholars' interpretation of Q.S. Al-Baqarah verse 153 and also determines how to treat GERD Anxiety. The method used in this research, seen from its type, uses qualitative research methods, by conducting library research. Meanwhile, the writing technique refers to the guidelines for writing Scientific Work (Thesis, Journal) of the Ushuluddin College of Science, Darul Hikmah, Bekasi, 2022 and the General Guidelines for Indonesian Spelling (PUEBI), 2016. The results of the research show that there are methods and treatments for treating GERD. Anxiety from a psychological perspective and the sufferer's stomach can be achieved through the Koran and Sunnah approach. In terms of spiritual medicine, it uses a spiritual ruhiyyah approach. Because basically, the Qur'an is syifa (medicine) for human spirituality and physicality and also a guide to life that humans can follow to overcome various kinds of problems in this world

This systematic review critically examines the evolving role of AI-powered sentiment analysis in optimizing digital marketing strategies, with a specific focus on its application within customer feedback loops in IT service environments. In the era of data-driven marketing, the ability to decode consumer emotions from unstructured textual sources—such as social media, product reviews, helpdesk transcripts, and chat logs—has become increasingly valuable for enhancing personalization, engagement, and service responsiveness. Adhering to the PRISMA 2020 methodology, this review rigorously analyzed 87 peer-reviewed articles published between 2010 and 2024, encompassing diverse disciplines including artificial intelligence, natural language processing, marketing analytics, and service operations. The findings reveal that while traditional stochastic models like Support Vector Machines remain widely used due to their computational efficiency and interpretability, deep learning architectures—particularly CNNs, LSTMs, and GRUs—have demonstrated superior performance in managing complex, context-rich sentiment patterns. Moreover, transformer-based models such as BERT and RoBERTa have emerged as state-of-the-art tools, excelling in multilingual sentiment interpretation and capturing nuanced emotional dynamics in long-form or domain-specific feedback. The integration of these models into customer feedback loops has enabled real-time marketing decision-making, automated customer relationship management, and sentiment-driven content optimization. However, the review also identifies key gaps, notably the underutilization of internal enterprise data sources and the lack of comprehensive adoption of explainable AI practices. Increasing scrutiny under data protection regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) has further underscored the need for transparency, user consent, and ethical handling of inferred emotional data. Overall, this review contributes to the growing body of literature by offering a comprehensive evaluation of current technologies, identifying operational challenges, and highlighting the need for ethically aligned and context-aware sentiment analytics frameworks in digital marketing ecosystems, particularly within the IT services sector.
