Inovação sustentável é o desenvolvimento de novos produtos, processos, serviços e tecnologias que contribuem para o desenvolvimento e bem-estar das necessidades humanas, respeitando os recursos naturais e sua capacidade regenerativa. Na medida que as organizações contemporâneas amadurecem seus processos inovativos visando incorporar sustentabilidade, a demanda por indicadores adequados para avaliar os resultados desses processos aumenta. Neste contexto, o objetivo desta pesquisa é apresentar, através de um roadmap tecnológico, a evolução dos indicadores de inovação sustentável a partir de uma revisão de literatura. Um roadmap tecnológico fornece uma visão de futuro de uma área científica ou tecnológica para apoiar determinados tomadores de decisão. No presente estudo, essa ferramenta foi usada para apresentar o desenvolvimento técnico-científico do objeto de estudo. Foram identificados 11 indicadores ou abordagens mais bem estruturadas. Os indicadores identificados foram dispostos em uma linha do tempo e agrupados em 3 campos de aplicação: pública (a nível de país ou região), privada e ICTs (avaliação de tecnologias). Desta forma, foi possível sintetizar um roadmap tecnológico que evidencia uma concentração dos estudos na União Europeia devido a uma estratégia de investimento em P&D e articulação entre Governo e ICTs. A ausência de uma abordagem dominante para mensuração do grau de inovação sustentável de uma empresa, país ou tecnologia, resulta em poucas experiências gerenciais práticas do uso de indicadores com esse propósito. No contexto público, o cenário Europeu aponta inúmeras abordagens promissoras que norteiam as políticas econômicas e industriais do bloco, visando a construção de um modelo de desenvolvimento mais sustentável. Na área empresarial, os indicadores de inovação sustentável enfatizam o desempenho corporativo ou visam avaliar um produto ou processo inovador quanto ao seu grau de sustentabilidade, servindo assim como instrumento de seleção de projetos e apoio à tomada de decisão no desenvolvimento de produtos. Já no Brasil surgiram abordagens de indicadores voltados para apoiar a transferência tecnológica de ICTs para o setor produtivo.

Aploparaksis mackoi n. sp. is described from a charadriiform bird, Gallinago gallinago (L.), collected from the central Carpathian Region of the Slovak Republic. The new species differs from all previously known species of Aploparaksis Clerc, 1903 by having a very large conical cirrus with a maximum length up to 1.5 times the proglottis width. The species is characterised by 10 aploparaksoid hooks, 19 microm long, with long, thin blades. The position of the vitellarium, with respect to the ovary, varies within the same strobila from median to aporal.

A two-dimensional horizontal variable grid is derived that has maximum resolution at the center and minimum resolution near the boundaries of the grid. By using the analytic transformation that defines the variable grid, the equations of motion for a free-surface model are transformed in terms of new independent space variables in a computational domain with constant resolution. Numerical experiments utilize the variable grid to (1) increase the domain size with a fixed resolution at the center and (2) increase the resolution at the center with a fixed domain size. Several finite-difference analogs and three time-integration schemes are tested. For a given domain size and number of grid points, several variable grid experiments show superior results in the mass and momentum fields compared to constant grid results. Most variable grid experiments, however, show a small (less than 1 percent) increase in total energy after 2000 time steps due apparently to the presence of additional nonlinear terms in the forecast equations. The results show that, although care must be taken with the nonlinear terms, the variable grid may be effectively used in certain physical problems to economically gain resolution at the center of the domain.

Abstract The role of asymmetries (large-scale horizontal eddies) in satisfying the mean angular momentum budget for the steady-state hurricane is studied by computing transverse circulations for a prescribed tangential vortex on the scale of 1000 km. For realistic diabatic heating rates at large distances from the hurricane center, the correlation between radial velocity and absolute vorticity must be negative in the upper troposphere and positive in the lower troposphere. The transverse circulations show small-scale oscillations that increase as internal mixing is increased. This paradox results from balancing “noise” in the prescribed tangential wind profiles by oscillations in the radial and vertical advection terms.

Vertical motions have been computed for a 6-day period during which an upper tropospheric cold Low moved through the eastern Caribbean, and a kinetic energy budget for the region has been constructed. During the first 3 days, the kinetic energy inside the volume increased. The computations indicate that the increase was caused by lateral advection of kinetic energy into the volume plus a small internal conversion of potential to kinetic energy. The kinetic energy decreased during the last 3 days, as the circulation became indirect. Visual agreement between the vertical motions and the observed weather was good.
