We focused on researching multi-target tracking algorithms based on improved DeepSORT. The basic principles of multi-target tracking algorithms are introduced, followed by the basic architecture of DeepSORT. CIOU loss function, PP LCNet backbone, and SE attention mechanism are introduced to address the problems of previous algorithms, and an end-to-end tracking algorithm framework based on improved DeepSORT is constructed. This paper tells on the experimental index, criteria, and KITTI dataset. Through ablation experiments, the performance of individual modules is verified and improved. The obtained model is compared with baseline algorithms such as ByteTrack and BotSORT, and the improvement in accuracy, efficiency, and robustness of the improved model is very quantified.

We study a network of identical Kuramoto oscillators with higher-order interactions that also break the rotational symmetry of the system. To gain analytical insights into this model, we use the Watanabe-Strogatz Ansatz, which allows us to reduce the dimensionality of the original system of equations. The study of stability and bifurcations of the reduced system reveals a codimension two Bogdanov-Takens bifurcation and several other associated bifurcations. Such analysis is corroborated by numerical simulations of the associated Kuramoto system, which, in turn, unveils a variety of collective behaviors such as synchronized motion, oscillation death, chimeras, incoherent states, and traveling waves. Importantly, this system displays a case where alternating chimeras emerge in an indistinguishable single population of oscillators, which may offer insights into the unihemispheric slow-wave sleep phenomenon observed in mammals and birds.

The human tongue has been long believed to be a window to provide important insights into a patient's health in medicine. The present study introduced a novel approach to predict patient age, gender, and weight inferences based on tongue images using pretrained deep convolutional neural networks (CNNs). Our results demonstrated that the deep CNN models (e.g., ResNeXt) trained on dorsal tongue images produced excellent results for age prediction with a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.71 and a mean absolute error (MAE) of 8.5 years. We also obtained an excellent classification of gender, with a mean accuracy of 80% and an AUC (area under the receiver operating characteristic curve) of 88%. ResNeXt model also obtained a moderate level of accuracy for weight prediction, with a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.39 and a MAE of 9.06 kg. These findings support our hypothesis that the human tongue contains crucial information about a patient. This study demonstrated the feasibility of using the pretrained deep CNNs along with a large tongue image dataset to develop computational models to predict patient medical conditions for noninvasive, convenient, and inexpensive patient health monitoring and diagnosis.

Inflationary spacetimes have been argued to be past geodesically incomplete in many situations. However, whether the geodesic incompleteness implies the existence of an initial spacetime curvature singularity or whether the spacetime may be extended (potentially into another phase of the universe) is generally unknown. Both questions have important physical implications. In this paper, we take a closer look at the geometrical structure of inflationary spacetimes and investigate these very questions. We first classify which past inflationary histories have a scalar curvature singularity and which might be extendible and/or non-singular in homogeneous and isotropic cosmology with flat spatial sections. Then, we derive rigorous extendibility criteria of various regularity classes for quasi-de Sitter spacetimes that evolve from infinite proper time in the past. Finally, we show that beyond homogeneity and isotropy, special continuous extensions respecting the Einstein field equations with a perfect fluid must have the equation of state of a de Sitter universe asymptotically. An interpretation of our results is that past-eternal inflationary scenarios are most likely physically singular, except in situations with very special initial conditions.
