Experimental Detection of Universal Critical Signatures Associated with Conscious States Across Biological and Artificial Systems
Challenges and resiliency of teachers as Board of Election Teller (BET) members
This survey–correlational study examined the challenges encountered and resilience levels of 81 teachers in the District of Tangalan who served as Board of Election Teller (BET) members during the 2022 National and Local Elections. Using a researcher-developed challenges scale and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale, the study measured the extent of difficulties faced and resilience exhibited, employing descriptive statistics, ANOVA, and Pearson r for analysis. Findings revealed that teachers experienced a moderate level of challenges but demonstrated a very high level of resilience. A significant difference was found in resilience across varying levels of challenges, yet no significant relationship emerged between the two variables. Results suggest that teachers’ high resilience may stem from prior election experience, coping mechanisms, and commitment to civic duty, while challenges were mitigated by institutional familiarity and perceived incentives. The study highlights the need for targeted training, adequate support systems, and policies to sustain resilience and reduce election-related stressors. Recommendations include stress management programs, improved compensation, political neutrality safeguards, and enhanced operational procedures to support teacher-election workers and ensure effective electoral processes.
Read morePhysical culture for lifelong healthy participation: Expanding the horizon of individual interest and university engagement in physical education in higher education
The degree of an individual’s interest can be conceptualized as their inclination to experience specific emotions toward a particular domain, such as physical education. There is a lack of published scholarly literature exploring the correlation between individual interest and university engagement, particularly within the context of colleges and universities in the Philippines. The primary objective of this study is to enhance the understanding of the correlation between the two variables. Furthermore, the objective of this study is to ascertain the notable disparity in the individual interest and university engagement of students, taking into account their sexes and educational institution. This study uses a quantitative research method. Upon collecting data from a representative sample of college students, it was determined that there was no discernible variation in the levels of individual interest and university engagement based on gender and educational institution. Furthermore, a notable correlation has been identified between individual interest and engagement in higher education. Ultimately, the factors that contribute to university engagement include positive affect and readiness to reengage, stored utility value, stored attainment value, and knowledge-seeking intentions. The present study provides recommendations for future research initiatives and instructors in order to effectively promote lifelong engagement in physical culture among students, encouraging their participation in diverse healthy activities.
Read moreUsage of Language Learning Strategy and Integrative Test Competence of Secondary Students
This study endeavored to find out the relationship of the Usage of Language Learning Strategy and Integrative Test Competence among secondary students. The level of students’ usage of language learning strategy is “moderate.” This may have happened because at any age during the adolescent’s stage, students’ learning habit is not that established yet. Students have an “average” level of integrative test competence. Yet the male results reveal to low since their attitude towards language learning is not as enthusiastic as with female who got the result of average. The integrative test competence of the secondary students has an “average” level of competence. It is also revealed in the result that there is no significant difference in the level of the integrative test competence among the four grade levels. This could mean that students are not exposed to integrative testing. They are used to discrete testing that is often given by the teachers in every lesson. This could also mean that the level of difficulty appropriate to the level is not observed. Since it is expected that the higher the level, students get to learn more complex lessons that could help improve their competence with the language. The no significant relationship between language learning strategy and integrative test competence could mean that the language learning strategy awareness is not that established to students and that integrative test competence might be influenced by some other factors like exposure to such kind and the holistic approach to the language teaching.
