Combining the research expertise of PhD-prepared nurses with the clinical insights of DNP-prepared nurses creates a collaboration to translate research into actionable practice. Despite the potential benefits, there are barriers to this collaboration. The purpose of this article was to explore the "why" and "how" regarding inconsistent collaboration between PhD- and DNP-prepared individuals within cancer care organizations and to develop strategies for improved PhD-DNP collaboration in oncology nursing. The Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) held a think tank at ONS Congress® for PhD and DNP participants. An abstraction laddering exercise explored a challenge statement regarding inconsistent collaboration between PhD- and DNP-prepared individuals within cancer care organizations. The findings from the PhD-DNP Think Tank highlight the barriers and opportunities for collaboration between PhD- and DNP-prepared nurses in oncology care. The strategies developed provide a road map for individuals and organizations to foster a culture of collaboration, ultimately enhancing patient care, education, and research in oncology nursing.

The radio waves with Saturn lightning origin have been studied since the first detection by Voyager 1, but their wave polarization has rarely been explored. Fischer et al. (2007, JGR 112, A12308) examined lightning from a storm located at 35° south latitude and found its radio emissions below 2 MHz to be highly polarized (80%) in a right-handed circular sense with respect to the wave propagation direction. They explained this by absorption of the extraordinary mode in Saturn's ionosphere and the dominance of the ordinary mode emission, as the radio waves are propagating against a direction of the magnetic field when coming from a source in the southern hemisphere. A limited examination of Saturn lightning from the so-called Great White Spot at 35° north latitude by Fischer et al. (2011, Nature 475, 75-77) revealed radio wave polarization in the left-handed sense. In this presentation we will show the radio wave polarization of lightning from various other storms in Saturn's atmosphere, which have not been examined until today. In this way we want to corroborate the hypothesis that the sense of the circular radio wave polarization of Saturn lightning depends on the hemispherical location of the storm.

Pridopidine is a highly selective Sigma-1 receptor (S1R) agonist, being evaluated in the PROOF-HD Ph3 trial. Pooled safety data from 22 trials assessing pridopidine at doses 10-112.5 mg bid was analyzed, encompassing safety data from 1300 patients (~1300 patient-years of exposure, including long-term data >5 years); 1100/1300 (85%) HD patients, and 981/1300 (75%) treated with 45 mg bid, the dose assessed in PROOF-HD. Due to different placebo and pridopidine exposures, AE rate analyses, corrected for patient-years of exposure, were performed. The rate of common AEs was similar for placebo vs. 45 mg bid (rate=2.35 vs.1.82 events/patient years). Serious adverse events (SAEs) were reported in placebo and 45 mg bid groups (rate=0.07 and 0.18, respectively). Most SAEs were common for HD; 1 case of subdural hematoma was considered drug-related. Concentration-QTc analysis was performed using PK sampling and ECG monitoring data from 402 PRIDE-HD Ph2 trial participants, for 52 weeks. Pridopidine shows a concentration dependent effect on QTcF interval (slope=0.012 ms/ng/mL; 90% CI: 0.0109-0.0127). The, predicted QTc effect at 45 mg bid is 6.6 ms, with a two-sided 90% CI below 8 ms, that is of no regulatory concern (FDA considers QTc <10 ms low risk for Torsade de Pointes, TdP). Across the integrated safety database, the rate of AEs for QT prolongation was higher in placebo vs 45 mg bid (rate=0.013 vs. 0.005). No cases of TdP, and no increased risk for pro-arrhythmic events reported at the clinical dose. As of June 16th, 2022, PROOF-HD has low dropout (23/499, 4.6%) and discontinuation (19/499, 3.8%) rates. In February 2022, an independent safety monitoring committee reported no safety signals of concern, and recommended PROOF-HD continue as planned.

Abstract The dynamic behavior of spiral-grooved gas bearing supported 4DoF rotors is investigated by means of linearized bearing force coefficients and full time-integrated transient analysis. The two methods are compared for a variation of test rotors and bearing geometries in a given compressibility number interval of Lambda = [0,40]. The limitations and weaknesses of the linearized model are presented. It is shown that shafts with two symmetric herringbone-groove journal bearings have their maximum stability and load capacity if the center of gravity lays in the middle of the two bearings. For symmetric rotors (la/lb = 1) the two rigid modes, cylindrical and conical, are present and are influenced by the mass and transverse moment of inertia independently. For asymmetric rotors (la/lb < 1) the stability region decreases and the modes have a mixed shape. It is no longer possible to clearly distinguish between pure cylindrical and pure conical mode shapes. The two methods predict the critical mass and critical transverse moment of inertias within a difference of < 7%. A quasi-linear unbalance module for rigid gas bearing supported rotors is presented, which considers eccentricity dependent bearing force coefficients, allowing to speed up the unbalance response analysis by four orders of magnitude. The unbalance module is compared with the full transient orbital analysis, suggesting that the quasi-linear module predicts the non-linear unbalance response with <6% deviation for amplitudes up to e < 0.5 within the complete compressibility number range.
