One grave of Corded Ware Culture was excavated in the course of the rescue excavation by the City of Prague Museum in Prague-Ruzyně in 1999. In the isolated grave lay two burials: adult man and child inhumations. The grave also contained pottery and unspecified animal bones. Analysis of assemblage put this grave in the find-group III. AMS data of adult human remains confirm the years between 3981 ± 22 BP.

Lengthening short nose is one of the most difficult rhinoplasty problems. Two suggestions are made. First, substantial release of soft tissues is mandatory to lengthen the short nose. Second, the technique espoused involves: (1) releasing the septal mucoperichondrium bilaterally, (2) releasing the septal upper from the lower lateral cartilage, and (3) using a baton graft attached to the septum, which in turn holds the tip cartilages in a more caudal position. Thirteen surgeries were performed with satisfactory results and few complications.

UNDERDOG is a computer program that aids experimentalists in the process of data reduction. This software allows a user to reduce, extract, and generate displays of data collected at the WIPP site. UNDERDOG contains three major functional components: a Data Reduction package, a Data Analysis interface, and a Publication-Quality Output generator. It also maintains audit trails of all actions performed for quality assurance purposes and provides mechanisms which control an individual's access to the data. UNDERDOG was designed to run on a Digital Equipment Corporation VAX computer using the VMS operating system. 8 refs., 24 figs., 2 tabs.

A retrospective comparison was made of the capability of magnetic resonance (MR) imaging and CT to display and characterize pathologic abdominal fluid collections. Fluid collections in 41 patients were analyzed: ascites (seven patients), hematoma (five), pancreatic pseudocyst (four), biloma (two), abscess (four), simple renal cyst (nine), hemorrhagic renal cyst (two), hydronephrosis (four), hemonephrosis (two), and cystic metastases (two). Most fluid collections were equally demonstrated by the two modalities. Walls around fluid collections were better demonstrated CT. Six fluid collections appeared heterogeneous on MR but were homogeneous or nearly so on CT.
