Social change represents one of the central and enduring themes in sociological inquiry, reflecting the dynamic transformation of social structures, institutions, values, and patterns of interaction across time.In the contemporary era, accelerated processes such as industrialization, urbanization, globalization, technological development, and cultural transformation have intensified the pace and complexity of social change, making its theoretical understanding increasingly important. This study aims to provide a comprehensive theoretical introduction to the sociology of social change by systematically reviewing its conceptual foundations, related notions, major determinants, and key theoretical perspectives. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive and analytical approach based on an extensive review of classical and contemporary sociological literature. The study examines the conceptual evolution of social change and distinguishes it from related concepts such as social evolution, progress, development, and growth. It also identifies the major factors driving social transformation, including economic, political, technological, demographic, and cultural forces.Furthermore, the article analyzes the main theoretical frameworks that have attempted to explain social change, including evolutionary theories, functionalist approaches, conflict perspectives, modernization theories, and contemporary multidimensional interpretations. The findings indicate that social change is a complex and multidimensional process that affects the structure and functioning of societies in both positive and negative directions. It is not limited to linear progress but includes transformation, adaptation, and sometimes regression within interconnected social systems. The study highlights that understanding social change requires an integrated analytical perspective that considers structural conditions, human agency, and contextual factors simultaneously. This article contributes to sociological scholarship by providing a structured and comprehensive theoretical framework that clarifies the conceptual boundaries of social change and synthesizes diverse theoretical interpretations. The study also offers a reference for researchers in social sciences seeking to analyze contemporary societal transformations from a systematic and theoretically grounded perspective.

ABSTRACT This paper proposes a hybrid sensorless control strategy for a wind energy conversion system (WECS) based on a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG). The approach integrates finite‐set predictive current control (FS‐PCC), a model reference adaptive system (MRAS) estimator and a maximum power point tracking algorithm based on optimal torque control (MPPT‐OTC) to achieve precise current regulation and efficient maximum power extraction without mechanical sensors. The FS‐PCC ensures fast and accurate stator current control with minimal ripple, whereas the MRAS provides reliable real‐time estimation of rotor speed and position using only current feedback. Experimental validation on a prototype using a controller demonstrates excellent performance, with rotor speed and position estimation errors below , a reduction in current ripple and near‐perfect electromagnetic torque convergence at and , both with less than deviation under various wind speed conditions and varying resistive loads (–. The proposed FS‐PCC‐MRAS‐MPPT‐OTC framework ensures robust, cost‐effective and highly dynamic sensorless operation for standalone wind energy systems.

Thermodynamic properties of non-Newtonian fluids through stretching surfaces become widely used in processes such as the extrusion of plastic sheets, paper manufacturing, glass blowing, liquid film condensation, and biopolymer cylinder coatings. Consequently, the aim of this communication is to transparently describe the Prandtl nanofluid flow characteristic that results from extending a surface. In the present endeavor, heat & mass transfer are combined by means of the generalized Ohm law. The generalized Fourier and Fick laws serve as the foundation for the phenomena of mass movement and heat transfer, respectively. Ion slip effects and the Hall contribution are also included. The two key slip mechanisms that control nanoparticle mobility in relation to the base fluid—Brownian diffusion and thermophoresis—are taken into consideration in this work by using Buongiorno's nanofluid model. Brownian motion and thermophoresis parameters are used to quantify these phenomena, respectively. Based on their capacity to regulate velocity using thermophoresis and Brownian motion parameters, the results showed that nanoparticles are useful for both medication delivery and transportation. These sets of partial differential equation (PDEs) that correspond to the mathematical modeling are coupled with appropriate similarity transformations to build an (ordinary differential equations) system, which is subsequently solved by consuming the Lobatto IIIA method's power. Numerical and graphical examples are provided to illustrate the ways in which different physical restrictions impact heat and mass transport in addition to velocity fluctuation. According to the results, the velocity profile tends to be improved by the Prandtl and elastic fluid parameters. Moreover, Random movement of fluid particles, which is brought on by an increase in the Brownian motion parameter, might intensify the heat transfer phenomenon. Many real-world domains, such as microfluidics, industry, transportation, the military, and medical, use features of nanofluids. The present research is significant and might also be helpful in raising heat exchangers' thermal efficiency, which would support the preservation of thermal balance control in heat-density devices and equipment.

Hukum untuk Manusia? Gugatan Satjipto Rahardjo

Several adenosine A1 receptor (A1R) radiotracers for positron emission tomography (PET) have been developed to study their neuromodulatory functions and role in brain disorders. While two xanthine-based radiotracers ([11C]-MPDX and [18F]-CPFPX) have been used in humans, we aimed to improve the metabolic stability and specific binding. Guided by structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies, 10 derivatives were synthesized with binding affinities up to 0.12 nM. Three subnanomolar candidates (3, 8, 9) were radiolabeled with C-11 (t 1/2 = 20.4 min) for evaluation using in vivo PET imaging and ex vivo rodent brain biodistribution. Although [11C]8 demonstrated a higher blood-brain barrier (BBB) permeability, negligible in vivo specific binding was observed. Ex vivo studies indicated that all three compounds are substrates for brain efflux pumps. Despite optimized affinity, BBB permeability and in vivo binding specificity remain challenges. These findings inform development of nonxanthine A1R radiotracers and highly potent CNS A1R drugs.
