Understanding student feedback is essential for informing pedagogical strategies and institutional decision-making in higher education. Sentiment analysis offers scalable mechanisms for extracting insights from open-ended student evaluations; however, many existing approaches prioritize technical performance without sufficient consideration of contextual and institutional constraints, particularly in underrepresented regions. This study proposes a context-aware framework for sentiment analysis of student feedback, designed to support educational decision-making within Latin American universities. Rather than introducing new algorithms, the framework systematically evaluates established machine learning and deep learning models through a multi-phase process that includes data preprocessing, Bayesian optimization, threshold calibration, and class balancing. The framework is validated using authentic Spanish-language student feedback collected from a public university in Peru. Experimental results indicate that while advanced models can achieve strong predictive performance, simpler and more interpretable approaches often provide comparable institutional value when deployment feasibility, computational efficiency, and transparency are considered. These findings highlight that marginal performance gains do not necessarily translate into meaningful advantages for routine educational use. Overall, this work contributes a replicable and resource-sensitive framework that bridges learning analytics research and practical educational application. By prioritizing contextual suitability and interpretability, the proposed approach enables higher education institutions to leverage student sentiment data as an actionable input for continuous improvement and evidence-based educational strategies.

To evaluate the accuracy of ultrasound estimates of fetal weight made by residents. A cross-sectional study was conducted on consecutive pregnancies attended in an obstetric ward. All participants provided their consent to participate. Inclusion criteria were singleton pregnancies with ultrasound evaluation and delivery within 14 days. Congenital abnormalities and stillbirths were excluded. Ultrasound scans were performed by two residents, one observer per subject, following standardized methodology and supervised by senior staff. Fetal weight was calculated using the four-parameter Hadlock 1985 formula. Birth weight was measured using a standard clinical scale. Bland-Altman and mixed-effects analyses were performed. In a 6-month period, 95 gestations were recruited at 30-41 weeks, and birth weights ranged from 1200 to 4080 g. The bias between methods was -28 g (CI95%, -74 to 18) with 95% limits of agreement of ±440 g. The 95% deviation between methods was of ±16%. Parity had the most significant effect on the bias between methods; operator and maternal weight had no significant effect. Supervised measurement of fetal weight by residents demonstrated high accuracy. Parity bias may be associated with visceral fat deposition independent of maternal weight gain. A methodology for medical evaluation is presented.

The objective of this research is to establish the bases of a policy of rescue and conservation of the Mexican wetlands so that the human beings that coexist with them relate symbiotically with that environment offering and receiving mutual benefits. The PentaHelix project must be considered for this policy to work. With the support of these five parts of human society, artificial or technical wetlands might be built that prevent residual water from reaching the wetlands, damaging their ecosystems. The consolidation of these actions will make it possible to achieve sustainability and the supply of food, clean water and pleasant environments that improve the quality of life, both spiritual and material, for all people and for nature.

The study of organizational culture represents a complex pattern of beliefs, expectations, ideas, values, attitudes and behaviors shared by the members of an organization, which evolves over time. Specifically, organizational culture includes: Routine ways of communicating, such as organizational rituals and ceremonies and common language; the norms shared by individuals and teams throughout the organization; the dominant values held by the organization; the philosophy that governs the organization's policies and decision making; the rules of the game for getting along in the organization or the "tricks" a newcomer has to learn to become an accepted member; the feeling or climate conveyed in an organization by the physical layout and the way members interact with customers, suppliers and other external parties. In this work the need for an approach to Organizational Culture in the microenterprise Peletería la Michoacana is based, where the concepts are taken and illustrated with results in a practical case, with the General Objective of implementing in the Peletería la Michoacana a corporate culture, which transmits a sense of identity to the members who belong to the organization, and facilitates the generation of commitment to something bigger than individual interest. Specific objectives: To define boundaries or create differences between an organization and others; To be a company that gives meaning and control to guide and shape employees' attitudes and behavior. Organizational culture provides the ability to act strategically and efficiently through business values. These indicate the way in which the different business needs can be solved, as well as the direction that all members of the company will follow.
