Migrant populations have significant barriers for vocational rehabilitation (VR). Over one-quarter (26%) of farmworkers in the United States are migrant workers. Migrant farmwork often involves exposure to enhanced occupational hazards. Language barriers among farmworkers add additional challenges to vocational rehabilitation, as 77% of U.S. farmworkers identify Spanish as their primary language. Educational attainment is also a factor in vocational development for farmworkers, as the average level of education among farmworkers is eighth grade. Most migrant farmworkers are separated from all nuclear family members. A migratory lifestyle, isolated social conditions, lack of education, language differences, and fear of arrest or deportation establish barriers for VR service. In light of these unique barriers, the first step in improving VR outreach is to determine the geography of migrant work. This study utilizes data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Atlas of Rural and Small-Town America to identify states and counties with the highest rates of Mexican-born residents and highest rates of non-English speakers, discussing that data in the context of unemployment and poverty rates. A State Average Score was developed to arrange states by multiple factors that may indicate the presence of migrant communities. These multiple factors include counties with the highest non-English speaking rates, counties with the highest Mexican-born rates, counties with the highest poverty rates, and counties with the highest unemployment rates. The convergence of these data points within a single county may indicate the presence of migrant communities. Examples of outreach to migrant farmworkers are also presented.

In the 21 century, the construction of oil and gas resources information system has stepped into the mature and development stage, However, it also faces two technical difficulties: multi-data integration and the integration of attribute information and location information. This paper analyzes the technical features and advantages of Geographic Information System (GIS) and lists the application methods of GIS in the construction the oil and gas resources information system. It proposes the classification scheme of oil and gas resources information. By applying GIS spatial database technology, basic oil and gas resources information, including graph and data, can be managed collectively at one database platform. Based on GIS technology, it can provide the diversified information query method between space orientation and attribute data. By using the multi-data integration technology supported by GIS, it realizes the flexible transformation and transfer of spatial data. Based on GIS vector drawing ability, it realizes the flexible geological maps thematic mapping technology. With the help of GIS spatial analysis, it realizes oil and gas decision support functions such as virtual drilling, et al.. And it can be applied to the construction of oil and gas resources information system.

At present, the global petroleum exploration and production enterprises are all faced with dual huge pressures which are to lower operating costs and improve labor productivity, but the appearance of digital oilfield let these companies find a silver lining. This paper expounds the difficulties that the domestic digital oilfield encountered in the design of construction, and combining with the actual need of the oil fields in the development of oil-gas exploration, especially discusses the common problems in the construction of current digital oilfield and analyzes the existing oilfield technology and the development needs, finally, it put forwards feasible solutions. This chapter reviews the data from the project through the filter of a conventional view of culture: that is, the values and attitudes and habits passed from one generation to another via the socialization process. The data in question are the proxemic indexes that reflected variations in the size and gender composition of adult-child groups across the 18 culture sample. These indexes include: 1. The preferential association of men toward boys (rather than girls) 2. The proportion of children (associating with adults) who were with groups of men and women 3. The tendency of man-child dyads to associate with other men rather than with women 4. The tendency of woman-child dyads to associate with other women rather than with men 5. The preferential association of women toward girls (rather than with boys)

The lens effect of pressure windows has been studied at pressures as high as 30,000 atmospheres. These lens effects are found to be due to four primary causes. 1st. Pseudo lens effect caused by temperature gradients in the material under pressure. 2nd. The bulging of the outside surface of the pressure windows. 3rd. The Pseudo lens effect due to unequal strains in the glass. 4th. The bulging of the inside surface of the window combined with the difference of index refraction of the material under pressure and the glass or quartz of the window. Methods for correcting for these lens effects are outlined.
