Investigating the Nutritional and Medicinal Potential of Momordica Dioica
A member of the Cucurbitaceae family, Momordica dioica is found throughout India and the Indian subcontinent. Alkaloids, steroids, triterpenoids, flavonoids, glycosides, saponins, triterpenes, and other bioactive substances are all present in the phytochemical analysis of M. dioica fruits. Significant antioxidant activity is displayed by M. dioica, which may help explain its potential for controlling and preventing disorders like diabetes that are linked to oxidative stress. dioica exhibits anti-diabetic and antioxidant properties, and its potential as a natural treatment for diabetes and other conditions linked to oxidative stress is being investigated. In light of current scientific findings as well as traditional medical plant-based treatments like ayurveda, this review attempts to assess the phytochemical, ethnobotanical, phytotherapeutical, and pharmacological qualities of kakrol. Despite having a better nutritional content than many commonly consumed vegetables and a notable presence of certain components, kakrol is regarded as an underappreciated food.

Read moreAntenna Sensitivity Enhancement through Noise Suppression in an LTE/GPS Communication Module
This letter discusses antenna sensitivity enhancement in an LTE/GPS communication module for vehicle-to-everything applications by addressing onboard noise suppression. The performance of antennas in smart vehicles is increasingly complex due to the concentration of electronic devices within small structures, which impacts signal reception. Onboard noise generated by other unknown electronic components on the PCB can couple through the resonance structure of the other antenna, significantly degrading performance. The proposed solution includes an equivalent noise circuit and two double-branch planar inverted-F antennas targeting the B1 and B5 LTE bands and the L1 and L5 GPS bands. The noise circuit can couple with the GPS antenna’s feed loop and requires a noise suppression method to prevent sensitivity degradation. The analysis shows that this approach can increase total isotropic sensitivity from -81.79 dB to -94.61 dB, representing a significant enhancement in antenna sensitivity performance.
Read moreCorrelations Among Appearance Satisfaction, Self-esteem, and Satisfaction with Learning Among College Student
This study aims to examine how appearance satisfaction, self-esteem, and learning satisfaction affect one another among college students. It also seeks to find ways to develop programs in communities and schools that can enhance all three aspects together, while collecting crucial data to support these initiatives. To achieve this, a survey was conducted with 160 college students from Daejeon and Chungcheongnam-do. Before starting the survey, the study’s purpose was explained, and it was administered only to those who consented to participate. The analysis of correlations among appearance satisfaction, self-esteem, and learning satisfaction revealed that factors related to appearance satisfaction—such as self-satisfaction, satisfaction with others’ perception, and satisfaction with mass media—are significantly positively associated with self-esteem factors, including personal, family, and social self-esteem. Furthermore, a significant positive correlation was found between appearance satisfaction and learning satisfaction. Additionally, personal, family, and social self-esteem were all significantly positively correlated with learning satisfaction. These findings suggest a strong connection among appearance satisfaction, self-esteem, and learning satisfaction. It is anticipated that the study results will provide foundational data for developing programs aimed at enhancing these aspects among college students.
Read moreThe Effect of Personal Color Perception on Makeup Behavior of Female College Students in Their 20s
In the modern era, as the era of external image communication, interest in appearance has become an essential factor in success. As such, many people are investing a lot of time and money in appearance management to create an ideal image. In particular, personal color occupies a large proportion as a field of image management. The purpose of this study was to find out the personal color recognition and the perception of makeup behavior according to personal color in female college students in their 20s. As a result of the study, the overall personal color recognition and makeup behavior of the pre-survey group were high. Direct recognition, preference recognition, and external advice by sub-factors of personal color recognition of the pre-survey group were found to have a statistically significant positive (+) correlation with aesthetics, fashionability, interest, co-movement, courtesy by sub-factors of makeup behavior. In South Korea, hospitalized patients' experiences significantly impact satisfaction and treatment outcomes. This study developed and evaluated the Inpatients Experience Measurement Scale (IEMS) for its psychometric properties. Participants from three hospitals were recruited using convenience sampling. Scale item generation involved patient interviews and a Delphi survey with experts. Psychometric testing used Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) with 150 participants and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) with 151 participants. A total of 301 patients participated, resulting in a 20-item scale across four factors: "Care Quality and Information Provision", "Patient Safety and Dietary Services", "Facility and Comfort Infrastructure", and "Comprehensive Patient Support Services". Rated on a 5-point Likert scale, the scale showed a high Content Validity Index (CVI) over 0.80. EFA explained 61.43% of the variance. The four-factor model was validated using CFA with favorable fit indices. The IEMS demonstrated strong convergent validity, supported by high composite reliability (CR) and average variance extracted (AVE) values. Significant correlations with the Patient Satisfaction Scale reinforced its convergent validity. Discriminant validity was confirmed, and all reliability measures exceeded the minimum threshold of 0.80. The IEMS effectively captures inpatients' experiences, demonstrating robust reliability and validity. This scale is a valuable tool for assessing patient experiences, facilitating enhancements in patient care and satisfaction within hospital settings.
