Vorinostat polymeric nanoparticle gel: A promising therapy for management of psoriasis
Cetuximab in platinum-ineligible patients with locally advanced squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck: Consensus from India.
Locally advanced squamous cell carcinomas of the head and neck (LA-SCCHN) are one of the most common cancers globally and in India. Though many treatment options are available for LA-SCHHN, chemotherapy administered concurrently with radiotherapy (CCRT) is the most common treatment modality. Cisplatin-based CCRT is the guideline-recommended standard of care (SoC) in definitive and adjuvant settings. However, cisplatin-based CCRT often fails or cannot be administered due to toxicity. Hence, 60% of LA-SCCHN patients experience locoregional recurrence, and 20% experience distant metastasis. Many of these patients are cisplatin-ineligible/unfit due to absolute or relative contraindications; thus, continued cisplatin-based CCRT is unsuitable for them. Hence, alternative treatment strategies have been suggested for cisplatin-unfit LA-SCCHN patients and include docetaxel, carboplatin, and cetuximab-based regimens. Of these, docetaxel and carboplatin-based regimens have an unfavorable toxicity profile when compared with cetuximab-based regimens. Additionally, cetuximab-based regimens have demonstrated good locoregional control (LRC), improved disease-free survival (DFS), and OS (including 5-year OS) in LA-SCCHN patients. Therefore, Indian and international guidelines recommend cetuximab-based regimens for cisplatin-ineligible/unfit LA-SCCHN patients, Cetuximab is a costly drug for Indian patients. However, with the availability of cetuximab biosimilars, it has become possible to extend the drug's benefits to cisplatin-ineligible/unfit LA-SCCHN patients in India. Hence, this Expert opinion from India was organized, and nine consensus statements were drafted to highlight the various clinical settings where cetuximab-based regimens can benefit cisplatin-ineligible/unfit LA-SCCHN patients. An attempt was also made to understand the burden and causes of cisplatin ineligibility and toxicity in Indian patients.

Emerging Therapeutic Agents and Nanotechnology-Driven Innovations in Psoriasis Management.
Psoriasis has been a rising concern for over a decade, imposing significant challenges to individuals and society. Traditional topical therapy is non-targeted and acts systemically, with associated side effects. This increases the global burden both socially and economically. This review covers the evolution of drug molecules and nanotechnology-based approaches for the topical treatment of psoriasis, a chronic inflammatory skin disorder with no known etiology. Nanotechnology-based approaches offer promising solutions by reducing side effects, providing targeted delivery, protecting drug molecules from degradation, enhancing skin retention, and providing controlled release. Researchers have investigated the incorporation of various conventional and non-conventional therapeutic agents into nanocarriers for psoriasis treatment. The current understanding of the disease and its treatment using various therapeutic agents combined with novel formulation strategies will reduce the duration of treatment and improve the quality of life in psoriatic disease conditions.

Professional networking sites like LinkedIn have made the hiring process “falser” in the context of several "duplicate" profiles; therefore, attempts are being made to change this area by using blockchain technology and machine learning for the dual-validation system of the profile authenticity. Then, for this purpose, a user interface based on a browser extension is developed such that it becomes very easy for recruiters to interface with it. The blockchain technology authenticates certification credentials, and AI/ML models analyze LinkedIn profile data to validate whether it is a genuine or fake profile based on pre-trained criteria. By leveraging blockchain’s immutable nature, credential authenticity is safeguarded, ensuring that once verified, certifications cannot be tampered with. Meanwhile, machine learning models continuously analyze behavioral data such as abnormal connection growth and unusual activity patterns to detect signs of fraudulent profiles.

Exploring the Future of Diagnostic Industry
IVDs constitute one of the major mainstays in today’s healthcare system. The utilization of advanced technologies for disease diagnosis can improve patient outcomes and aid in monitoring and treatment of the disease. The developments of AI tools can aid in maximizing patient care with multiple chronic conditions (MCC) by envisaging drug receptivity, adherence and interactions, while using data repositories to provide personalized medicine and care. The POCT can aid in rapid diagnosis which can be helpful for timely management of the disease. The use of non-invasive liquid biopsy helps in the detection of a broader range of cancers and other diseases at earlier stages. Moreover, it can support in detection of tumor recurrence and real-time monitoring of tumor dynamics and treatment response by recognizing specific markers in body fluids. Integration of digital technologies into healthcare platforms has several advantages. Electronic Health Records (EHRs), telemedicine, mobile health apps (mHealth), wearable devices, Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) are some of the examples of cutting-edge digital technologies. Block chain technology can help in clinical trial management. Genomic medicine can be potentially useful in diagnosing rare disease genetic conditions, and many types of cancer. These futuristic prospects seem to have huge scope of technology based diagnosis thereby providing accurate results with small TATs aiding in timely and correct clinical decisions by HCPs for the patients.
