The purpose of this paper is to answer the following question: How the continuity of the predominance of the prohibitionist referential is expressed in the legislative process that produced the Drug Law (Law No. 11,343/06)? Thus, we seek to understand why, in a context of apparent opening of political opportunities for a change in the prohibitionist framework, such a change did not occur. The research shows that the proposal of the new law was an initiative of defenders of prohibitionism and, also, the absence of an anti-prohibitionist coalition in the Legislature disputing the elaboration of the new law

Conventional controlled rolling is widely used in a hot strip mill and requires the occurrence of strain‐induced precipitation before that any recrystallization process takes place. On the other hand, microalloying elements dissolved in the austenite can have a strong effect on hardenability. These aspects show how important is the knowledge on the precipitation evolution and the remaining thermodynamic driving force in each step of hot rolling. This is particularly true for seamless tube production that have some specific characteristics such as: longer transfer times between roughing and finishing, the possibility of promoting one transformation cycle before finishing, lower deformation at finishing steps, no accelerated cooling, etc. In this work, hot torsion simulation was applied on a real case of seamless tube production and the samples were investigated by transmission electron microscopy. The particles size distributions were accessed by high angle annular dark field, and typical precipitates were characterized by EDX, PEELS, and EFTEM. Thermo‐Calc software was used to evaluate the precipitation and the amounts of microalloying elements that remains dissolved in austenite.

In Brazil, by contributing to Social Security, workers are supported in cases of old age, death, maternity, illness and disability through stipends. This article seeks answers about the possibility of granting sick pay due to depression of the Social Security insured. For this purpose, we analyzed how this fundamental right to social security works by granting the benefit on grounds of this illness. Firstly, the concept, history and legal provision of Social Security is addressed. Secondly, the benefit in question is investigated, and its concept, legal provision and requirements needed for getting it are presented. Lastly, a study of depression and its symptoms is conducted. This article is based on bibliographic and documentary research, with an exploratory and descriptive nature, through the collection of data from laws, legal articles, standards, resolutions, jurisprudence, on-line searches, among others dealing with the subject. It was demonstrated that it is possible to grant sick pay for depression, however, on a secondary basis, as the total disability of the worker must be proven and a medical examination is required. Nevertheless, even if in certain cases the benefit is denied, no affront to this fundamental right has been evidenced.

This paper presents the methodology for structural analysis of a high-speed Diesel engine aluminum cylinder head for Pick-up application, considering the finite element method. As boundary conditions, it was considered the loads from the bolts tightening process, combustion peak pressure, and thermal loading. The stresses generated during the assembly of the valve seats and valve guides were also evaluated. The valve train dynamic loads were not analyzed or considered in this paper, due to its negligible effects at the critical regions. The FE model contains the upper part of the crankcase and the entire cylinder head. Heat transfer coefficients at the water jackets were obtained from a CFD calculation and used at the heat transfer analysis to evaluate the thermal stresses.
