The article is relevant since it presents the results of a study aimed at achieving the objectives of integrating patriotic education and subject teaching in Russian language lessons in accordance with the modern Federal State Educational Standards. The purpose of the paper is to identify the educational potential of regional supertext as an integrative means of teaching modern axiological linguistic methodology. In order to substantiate the linguistic and methodological foundations of the study, scientific literature and instructional materials in the field of Russian language teaching methodology, philosophy, philology, and cultural studies were analysed. In addition, the research relied on pedagogical observation of the teaching process at school, a pedagogical experiment and the generalisation of its results. Finally, the study utilised the best practices of Russian language and literature teachers from St. Petersburg, the Komi Republic, Leningrad Oblast as well as the author’s own pedagogical experience. The article substantiates a new concept of axio logical linguistic methodology, namely educational regional supertext, determines its key characteristics and educational potential. Moreover, the study classifies educational regional supertexts and presents the distinctive features of motivation of learning activity during their perception. The research results which formed the basis for integrated study guides and instructional materials on local history, history, Russian language, and reading literacy development outlined a new direction in the implementation of the integrative potential of modern axiological linguistic methodology.

Patriotic upbringing is an inherent part of preschool education. However, its efficiency is extremely difficult to measure. This article introduces an authentic approach to assessing the results of patriotic education in preschool children. The method was tested as part of an innovative project on the prospects of STEM-education, which integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The experiment was supervised by the Federal Institute of Modern Education and covered 64 education institutions in 22 cities and 10 villages of the Russian Federation. It involved children aged 5–7 y.o. Their patriotism was measured quantitatively based on the structural content of this phenomenon. The measurement intervals of the cumulative index were determined for three levels of patriotic orientation in children aged 5–6 and 6–7 y.o. The qualitative analysis relied on a creative task where children were asked to draw a picture of Motherland Russia. The new method demonstrates good pedagogical, methodological, and educational prospects.

Critical thinking can be developed as part of reading comprehension. This study involved 57 university students from the Pacific National University. They worked with methodological texts to determine the topic, write a secondary text, create a cinquain, formulate hypotheses, and project the new material onto their own academic experience. The article introduces a new subjective approach to teaching text comprehension to university students. The approach is based on psychological foundations and the interaction between teaching staff and students. It develops the ability to generate new meaning and relations, as well as to classify various phenomena. The article also reveals the ways of understanding a text as a sign complex and offers some new diagnostic methods that treat text comprehension both as a process and a result. The authors also identified empirical indicators to control the dynamics of comprehension development. The experiment showed positive dynamics in the critical thinking skills of students who practiced reading comprehension based on methodological texts.

The article analyzes the technology of ensuring the process of self-determination of participants in pedagogical activity in the digital environment of the school, based on the wide variety of provided opportunities and the conscious choice of the subjects of educational relations of their own ways of development. Examples of the specific construction of the educational process in conditions of quarantine restrictions, data from a survey of the school collective on work in these conditions are given. The conclusion is made about the further prospects for the development of modern education, taking into account the risks and threats, as well as the received impulses for the necessary changes.

Education is one of the most important social institutions that ensure the socialization of the younger generation: the interiorization of social values, norms, behavior patterns that characterize the basic culture of a society, the formation of life skills and competencies necessary for successful adaptation, personal and social development in current socio-economic, political and socio-cultural conditions. The results of sociological research carried out within the framework of the republican monitoring of the quality of education are analyzed.

The article is devoted to the description of the markers that determine the effectiveness of competent andon-fire mid-level specialist training. Their allocation is justified by the results of a three step monitoring study, associated with the identification of effective educational technologies and pedagogical teaching practices in secondary vocational educational institutions and the assessment of the process of integrating the resources of the regional vocational education system.
