Hister cavifrons Marseul, 1854 (Coleoptera: Histeridae) is a common species in Brazilian territory mostly associated with animal carcasses that has previously been recorded in the Amazon, Atlantic Forest, and Cerrado biomes across several Brazilian states, ranging from the North to the South of the country. The highest number of records is from the state of Paraná, while Santa Catarina has only two records from inland municipalities. This note presents the first record of H. cavifrons on the coast of Santa Catarina specifically in the municipality of Florianópolis and the third for the state. The species was sampled in Biguá [Nannopterum brasilianum (Gmelin, 1789) (Suliformes: Phalacrocoracidae)] carcass, an aquatic bird commonly found along the Santa Catarina coast, marking the first record of this species associated with this animal, during the month of April (autumn season).

Kepadatan penduduk yang terjadi di Jakarta Selatan memunculkan permasalahan dalampenyediaan hunian bagi masyarakat. Salah satu upaya pemecahan masalah tersebut adalah denganmenghadirkan fasilitas hunian vertikal khususnya bagi kalangan masyarakat menengah atas, yangdiharapkan sekaligus mendukung perekonomian di Jakarta Selatan. Pembangunan hunian vertikalmengarah pada kenyamanan serta minimalisasi penggunaan lahan. Hal yang perlu diperhatikanadalah mengenai kesehatan, kenyamanan pengguna serta mencegah dampaknya merusak bagilingkungan sekitar. Salah satu caranya adalah menerapkan green architecture pada perancanganapartemen. Dengan menerapkan green architecture diharapkan, dapat memberikan manfaat ruangterbuka hijau di Jakarta Selatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatifdeskriptif. Data kualitatif diperoleh melalui observasi dan studi pustaka. Prinsip dasar pednekatanarsitektur hijau yang diterapkan pada desain apartemen meliputi hemat energi (conserving energy),tidak berdampak negative bagi kesehatan dan kenyamanan penghuni bangunan tersebut (respectfor site), dan merespon keadaan tapak dari bangunan (respect for user).Kata kunci: Hunian, Arsitektur hijau, Apartemen kelas Menengah atas

Myelomeningocele (MMC) is the most common congenital defect of the central nervous system, which results in devastating and lifelong disability. In MMC, the initial failure of neural tube closure early in gestation is followed by a progressive prenatal injury to the exposed spinal cord, contributing to the deterioration of neurological function in fetuses. Amniotic fluid, collected during intrauterine correction of MMC, has been investigated as a new cell source for stem cells in the development of future cell-based transplantation. Human amniotic fluid stem cells (hAFSCs) adhered on decellularized scaffolds can be an option for tissue regeneration and restoring spinal cord injury. This study evaluated a protocol for decellularizing human fetal skin (also collected during MMC corrective surgery) to create an extracellular matrix (dECM) scaffold and its subsequent recellularization with human amniotic fluid stem cells (hAFSCs). The successful adherence and viability of hAFSCs on the dECM scaffold demonstrated its potential as an in vitro tissue model for mechanical support and cell development. The findings of this study have significant implications for future MMC repair applications, as they describe viable morphological characteristics for using dECM scaffolds recellularized with hAFSCs as a potential therapy for MMC.

Fault detection in DC microgrids is a major challenge because traditional protection methods like wavelet and Fourier transforms rely on zero-crossing points, which the DC signal lacks. This paper introduces a new approach combining the Hilbert-Huang Transform (HHT) and a long short-term memory (LSTM) neural network to improve fault detection and classification in DC microgrids. The proposed method first uses Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) to break down the fault current signal into multiple intrinsic mode function (IMFs). These IMFs capture important fault-related information at different frequency levels. Next, the Hilbert Transform is applied to these IMFs to obtain amplitude and frequency features over time. These features are used to create a set of numerical descriptors that summarize the fault characteristics. These extracted features are then fed into a two-layer LSTM neural network that can learn patterns in time-series data. The LSTM model is trained to classify the input into three categories: no fault, Pole-Ground (P-G) Fault, or Pole-Pole (P-P) Fault. Simulation tests were carried out using a MATLAB Simulink model of a 20kWatt DC microgrid under different fault conditions, noise levels, and load transients. Results show that the proposed HHT-LSTM model detects faults faster and more accurately than conventional techniques like Support Vector Machines (SVM) and Decision Trees (DT). It also meets the fault detection time requirements set by IEEE8570 and aligns with IEC standards. The model remains robust even under noisy conditions, making it reliable for real-time fault protection in marine, satellite, and an effective solution for enhancing fault detection in modern DC microgrids.

The architectural design process demands high time efficiency, especially in fast-paced projects suchas Bank Mandiri branch offices. This study aims to analyze the time efficiency of using SketchUpcompared to other design software at PT. Bangun Gagas Karyatama. The study used a qualitativedescriptive method through observation and interviews with eight professional informants directlyinvolved in the project. The results showed that SketchUp was considered the most efficient in theconceptual and early modeling stages due to its intuitive interface, simple work system, and relativelylight hardware requirements, thus accelerating the design exploration and revision process. In thecontext of projects with tight deadlines, SketchUp provides a faster and more adaptive workflow insupporting design completion.Keywords: Sketchup, Time Efficiency, Architecture Software, Mandiri Branch Project

The immobilization of fructosyltransferase enzymes has been identified as an essential strategy for the production of fructooligosaccharides (FOS) in heterogeneous reaction systems. This study investigated the applicability of silica gel and silica gel functionalized with glutaraldehyde as porous inorganic supports for the immobilization of the extracellular fructosyltransferase from Aspergillus oryzae IPT-301, aiming to obtain active and stable heterogeneous biocatalysts for FOS production. The silicas were characterized using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and N2 physisorption. The thermal, operational, storage, and pH stability, as well as the kinetic profiles of the biocatalysts, were evaluated. The functionalized silica gel achieved higher immobilization yield but exhibited lower recovered activity values compared to the silica gel without glutaraldehyde. The enzyme immobilized on both supports showed higher activity at initial substrate concentrations between 400 g L-1 and 600 g L-1 with different kinetic behaviors. The functionalized silica gel showed greater capacity for reuse over eight consecutive reaction cycles, also exhibiting higher thermal, storage and pH stability compared to the biocatalyst adsorbed onto the pure support. The results suggest a high potential for the application of glutaraldehyde-functionalized silica gel as a support for FTase immobilization for FOS production.

Abstract Background: Neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) may alter tumor biology, leading to immunohistochemical (IHC) subtype conversions between diagnosis and residual disease. The prognostic impact of such changes remains unclear. This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluated the effect of NAC-induced IHC subtype conversion on overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS) in patients with residual disease (non-pCR). Methods: This study was registered in PROSPERO (CRD42024558811). PubMed, EMBASE, and Cochrane Library were searched through 2025 for studies reporting IHC subtype conversions after NAC and associated survival outcomes in non-pCR patients. Eligible studies included randomized trials and observational cohorts of adult women with primary breast cancer. Two reviewers independently selected studies and extracted data. Risk of bias was assessed using the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale and Cochrane tool. Pooled risk ratios (RRs) were calculated using random-effects models. Heterogeneity was quantified with I2, and publication bias was assessed by Egger’s test. Results: Twenty-five retrospective studies (n=5,263 non-pCR patients) were included. Mean patient age ranged from 46-54 years, and tumors were predominantly T2-T3. IHC subtype conversion occurred in 20% [95% CI: 0.17-0.24], with high heterogeneity (I2=89.8%). Common conversions included luminal-to-TNBC (35%), luminal-to-HER2+ (25%), HER2+-to-luminal (20%), and TNBC-to-luminal (20%).Patients without subtype conversion had significantly better OS (RR=1.13 [95% CI: 1.01-1.26], p=0.03; I2=62%). Luminal tumors showed the greatest OS benefit without conversion (RR=1.19 [1.01-1.41], p=0.04), while HER2+ (RR=1.11 [0.95-1.31], p=0.19) and TNBC (RR=0.98 [0.84-1.16], p=0.85) showed no significant OS impact. DFS was not significantly affected by conversion overall (RR=0.95 [0.80-1.14], p=0.58; I2=79%). Sensitivity analysis confirmed OS findings. Egger’s test revealed no publication bias for OS (p=0.33) but suggested bias for luminal DFS (p=0.044). Conclusion: IHC subtype conversion after NAC occurs in 1 in 5 patients with residual disease and is associated with worse OS—particularly in luminal breast cancer. Routine post-NAC IHC reassessment should be considered to improve prognostication and guide adjuvant treatment. Abstract Golgi Reassembly and Stacking Proteins (GRASP) have been associated with Golgi-ribbon structure and unconventional vesicular protein secretion. In performing these functions, GRASPs consistently interact with membranes. The presence of lipid modifications, such as myristoylation, is a crucial consideration for obtaining detailed information about the interactions between GRASPs and membranes. Nonetheless, it has been overlooked in the literature so far. Here, we describe a reconstitution protocol for myristoylated human GRASP65 and GRASP55 in lipid model membranes, enabling investigation of their interactions using techniques ranging from structural characterization to spectroscopy and microscopy. Our results showed that myristoyl-anchored GRASPs can influence membrane dynamics, suggesting a possible role for their disordered SPR domain in this interaction.
