Abdinasir is a scholar who believes in Realism, particularly structural realism. He is an international political analyst who specializes in Horn of Africa politics. In 2019, he published an article on Research Gate titled "Changing Relations Between Somalia and Ethiopia: Potential Risk on the Horizon." He has a master's degree in international relations and diplomacy, as well as 7 years of experience teaching political science as a university lecturer. Abdinasir is the volunteerism executive director of the Bulsho Minority Humanitarian Development and Initiative, which assists members of minority groups.
