Phoenix Public Library

This case study offers insight into how Phoenix Public Library attempts to meet customer’s needs for 24/7 access to Library information and services. Strategies to achieve quality results, successful and failed initiatives, and lessons learned are presented.

ABSTRACT There are three visions of public library services for children. One vision is that of the child as reader. The second is the child of the Information Age. The third is the child in the community. This paper looks at each one of those visions, drawing upon the author's own experience as child, mother, and librarian.
