Modification of properties of polyimide materials by dispersed fillers
This paper presents the results of a study of the effect of fillers on the properties of polyimide film materials. The physical, mechanical and operational properties of the modified composite material were investigated: strength, elongation at break and corona resistance. The morphology of the surface of modified polyamide films has been studied. fumed silica, kaolin and silica in different concentrations, as well as silica solution were used as modifiers of the studied materials.
Read moreExploring the Rheology and Clinical Potential of Calcium Hydroxylapatite‐Hyaluronic Acid Hybrids
ABSTRACTBackgroundCombining calcium hydroxylapatite‐carboxymethylcellulose (CaHA‐CMC) with hyaluronic acid (HA) products using Cohesive Polydensified Matrix (CPM) technology leverages the volumizing and hydrating effects of HA and draws upon the regenerative properties of CaHA‐CMC, providing a potentially synergistic approach in aesthetic filling treatments. Despite this potential, the rheological and physical properties of these hybrid fillers remain unreported.ObjectiveTo characterize the rheological properties of CaHA‐CMC blended with various CPM‐HA products and identify factors influencing their physical and clinical behavior.MethodsHybrid fillers were prepared by mixing CaHA‐CMC with different CPM‐HA products at varying ratios (1:1 to 1:4 syringe CaHA:syringe CPM). Rheological properties, including storage modulus (G′), loss modulus (G″), complex shear modulus (G*), tan delta (tan δ), and complex viscosity (η*), were measured using an oscillatory rheometer. Extrusion force, cohesivity, stability, and axial strain (εa) were also evaluated.ResultsThe rheological properties of the hybrid fillers varied with the type of HA, mixing ratio, and crosslinking degree. Higher HA concentrations increased G′, G″, and η*, enhancing gel stiffness and resistance to deformation, while increased HA dilution and lower crosslinking favored spread and injectability. The addition of CaHA‐CMC to CPM‐HA products always increased the G′ in a volume‐dependent manner. These properties were closely correlated with the fillers' performance in different tissue planes.ConclusionsThe properties of CaHA‐CMC and CPM‐HA hybrids influence their injection behavior and clinical outcomes. Understanding these factors can guide filler selection and application techniques to maximize safety, efficacy, and patient satisfaction in aesthetic treatments.

Оценка потенциала развития индустриального парка на базе АО «Пластик»
The tendencies of the industrial park creation based on the Russian chemical enterprises are explored in the article, the potential resident basic requirements to the new manufacturing location are determined. The multiyear experience of the industrial park making in the JSC “Plastic” territory is summarized: from the engineering infrastructure modernization to the participation in the federal project “Proffessionalitet”.
Read moreIs There An "Ideal Instagram Face" for Caucasian Female Influencers? A Cross-Sectional Observational Study of Facial Proportions in 100 Top Beauty Influencers.
In the digital arena, wherein younger generations predominantly spend their time, social media continues to determine what is considered beautiful. Social media, particularly Instagram (Meta, Menlo Park, CA), is becoming a prominent aspect of the plastic surgeon-patient relationship. Therefore, the beauty ideal escalates without any barriers and breaks. The majority of influencers look alike. This sets a new trend for a beauty ideal. In this study, the authors aimed to analyze the facial proportions of 100 top female beauty influencers, to evaluate them for identifying the "ideal Instagram face," and to determine whether there existed a deviation from the standard golden ratio. The authors identified the top 100 beauty influencers, according to the latest rankings of November 2022. A detailed facial analysis has been conducted using the Fiji biomedical image analysis software. The primary outcome parameters included facial proportions such as lip ratio, Ricketts' line, and nasal dimensions. Secondary outcomes comprised BMI, age, and ethnicity. The results were collected and analyzed descriptively using graphs and statistics. Complete datasets were obtained from the top 100 female beauty influencers with a mean age of 31.3 ± 6.3 years (range, 24-38 years). The majority of influencers were Americans, followed by Germans and British. Based upon the mean of the aforementioned parameters, we could design the ideal Instagram face. There was no significant difference between the golden ratio and the new trend of the ideal Instagram face. Despite the existence of varied ethnic population groups and nonstandard measurements, the ideal Instagram face represents today's ideal trending face. The ideal Instagram face is symmetrical, matching the golden ratios, with a small and neat nose, full and lush lips, high cheekbones, as also a sharp and chiseled jawline. Further studies on this topic, involving a greater number of influencers with standardized measurements, should be advocated to identify the ideal facial proportions. This will lead to improvements in invasive and noninvasive cosmetic treatments.

The economic and mathematical modelling questions for the chemical industry are investigated in the article: from the technological load optimization of the manufacturing equipment to the selection of the perspective investment projects. The authors develop computational tooling for the diversification arrangements plan of the JSC «Plastic» and the development program for the industrial park, based on it.
Read moreEvaluation of Perception, Awareness, and Practices Related to Burns First Aid: Largest Cross-Sectional Study Among Non-Healthcare Providers in the Western Region of Saudi Arabia
IntroductionBurn injuries are among the most catastrophic public health issues because of the severe physical, functional, and psychological effects. Numerous studies have revealed that both developed and developing societies lack understanding about first aid for burns. This research sought to review and appraise perception, awareness, and practices of burn first aid among non-healthcare providers in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and whether they need an effective program. To the best of our knowledge, this is likely the first research conducted in Jeddah.MethodologyWe conducted a cross-sectional study in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia using a self-administered online questionnaire among non-healthcare providers in July 2022. The questionnaire was made up of 29 questions divided into two sections: demographics and first aid for burns. The Unit of Biomedical Ethics Research Committee at the Faculty of Medicine, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia approved this study.ResultsThis study included 575 participants. Males comprised 54.8% (315) and females 45.2% (260) of all respondents. A total of 443 respondents (77%) held a university diploma. All respondents had a mean burn knowledge score of 6.35±1.43 out of eight. Traditional medication was used on the burn by 484 people (84.2%). Antibiotic use in burn injuries was poorly understood as 453 (78.8%) of study participants agreed that antibiotics are beneficial in the case of burns, which is incorrect.ConclusionThe level of first-aid practices for burn patients among non-healthcare workers was insufficient, and the use of traditional medicines and antibiotics in burn patients was excessive. The findings of this study should be carefully considered by various healthcare organizations.
