Pre School Learning Alliance

Increased use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education has introduced new ways of supporting education not only through the performance capacity of the students but also through their well-being. Emotion-aware AI systems are one of the latest advancements that can become the means of promoting both the mental health and learning outcomes of students in digital and mixed learning settings. The research paper set out to explore the connection between the application of emotion-aware AI systems and the mental health and academic performance of students in institutions of higher learning. It used a quantitative, correlational, and predictive research design where two hundred and eighty undergraduate and postgraduate students were taken as a sample size in public and private universities in Punjab Province, Pakistan. The systematic questionnaire was used to get data, which were analyzed by Pearson correlation and simple linear regression along with the one-way ANOVA. The findings showed moderate, positive, and statistically significant evidence that the usage of emotion-aware AI systems is related to the mental health of the students. The results of the regression analysis identified that the results of the emotional interventions combined with AI-supporting systems served as a significant estimation of living outcomes, and the ANOVA results identified the statistically significant variations of living outcomes and university outcomes between the students who were exposed to the AI-supported system and the standard classroom students. The research complements the current body of knowledge by validating the two-fold use of emotion-aware AI systems in the realms of education and the necessity of the more emotionally sensitive educational technologies in the future.

Preeclampsia remains a significant complication of pregnancy which emerges after the 20th week mark and is identified by proteinuria and hypertension. This review explores the multifaceted nature of preeclampsia, beginning with its complex pathology involving endothelial, platelet dysfunction and the imbalance in the factors that regulate angiogenesis. Diagnosis relies on monitoring blood pressure and assessing proteinuria, supported by laboratory tests and imaging studies to detect organ involvement. Biomarkers including Soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase (sFlt-1) and placental growth factor (PlGF) play a critical role in early detection and risk stratification. The imbalance in the ratio between these two biomarkers serves as a key in diagnosing and predicting preeclampsia. Vascular homeostasis is upset by this imbalance, which results in clinical symptoms such as hypertension and urinary protein excretion. Elevated sFlt-1 and reduced PlGF in high risk pregnancies, including those with chronic hypertension, correlate with greater clinical severity and predict adverse outcomes for maternal and fetal health. Management strategies include the use of antihypertensive medicines, fetal monitoring and delivery of the fetus based on disease severity. Despite ongoing research into predictive biomarkers and preventative measures, preeclampsia remains a challenge and necessitates a multidisciplinary approach for the well-being of both the fetus and the mother. This review serves as a comprehensive resource for clinicians and healthcare workers and by consolidating current knowledge and practical approaches allows them to stay updated on the evolving role of biomarkers in improving diagnostic accuracy.

Abstract File sharing is the foundation of the Internet. But the traditional centralized service architecture will result in huge infrastructure costs and maintenance costs. Due to the lack of effective file management system, a lot of sensitive information is out of control and loss of confidentiality document has occur from time to time. In order to address the difficulty of tamper detection and the lack of supervision in the entire process of file transmission in the current Internet environment, this paper designs a block-chain-based system architecture for secure sharing of electronic documents. An efficient Blockchain model is used in our framework, and with the help of distributed storage system and asymmetric encryption technology, file sharing can be controlled, reliable and traceable in the transmission process.Referring to existing consensus mechanism, e.g., Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) and Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (PBFT), we propose a new consensus for efficient and secure file sharing.

Galvanic corrosion between two different kinds of steel rebars is usually the case in practical engineering. Open circuit potential (OCP), linear polarization resistance (LPR), Tafel polarization, scanning vibrating electrode technique (SVET), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and reflection digital holographic microscopy (DHM) were used to study the galvanic corrosion of a novel corrosion-resistant steel bar (CR) and low-carbon steel bar (LC) in simulated concrete pore solutions with different pH values and a chloride ion concentration of 5 mol L−1. The pH of the simulated concrete pore solution had a significant impact on the corrosion behaviour of CR and LC when they were in contact and were attacked by chloride ions. As the pH increased, the potential between CR and LC decreased and the driving force for the galvanic corrosion decreased. When the pH was 9.0, galvanic corrosion occurred on CR and LC at a high rate. CR developed local pitting corrosion, while LC mainly developed uniform corrosion, each with an apparent accumulation of corrosion products on the sample's surfaces. When the pH was 11.3, galvanic corrosion occurred when CR and LC were in contact. CR showed a relatively smooth surface, with only a small amount of pitting corrosion. In contrast, LC developed both pitting corrosion and uniform corrosion, and both apparent pitting corrosion and an accumulation of corrosion products on the sample surface were observed. When the pH was 13.6, there was no galvanic corrosion when CR and LC were in contact; the corrosion of CR and LC was mainly pitting corrosion. Therefore, for regions with chloride ion corrosion and severe carbonization, the galvanic corrosion between CR and LC cannot be ignored.

With the introduction of both a new funding formula in April and the 30-hour offer in September, it is no exaggeration to say that 2017 could be a make or break year for the sector, and for government policy.

Many kinds of scaffolds have been produced in meniscus tissue engineering, but few have matched the mechanical properties of native meniscus, making it impossible for them to sustain large stress at initial implantation. In this study, we used a differential centrifugation method to obtain decellularized meniscus extracellular matrix (DMECM) and combined the DMECM with polycaprolactone (PCL) via electrospinning to fabricate random and aligned microfibers. The FTIR results and biochemical assays demonstrated the successful mixing of these two elements, and the addition of DMECM improved the hydrophilicity of the microfibers. The blending of DMECM also enhanced the tensile modulus of the microfibers, and aligned fibers had tensile moduli ranging from 132.27 to 331.40 MPa, which match that of human meniscus. In addition, we defined yield stress as the lose-efficacy point. The results showed that DMECM/PCL fibers had higher yield stresses than the pure PCL fibers, and the aligned fibers had higher yield stress values than the randomly oriented fibers. Nanoindentation results showed that adding DMECM had no significant impact on modulus and hardness with the exception of fibers containing 80% DMECM, which exhibited an obvious increase in modulus. In vitro assay demonstrated that the DMECM/PCL fibers had no hemolysis or cytotoxicity. Meniscus cells could attach and proliferate on the fibers, and the fiber orientation had a direct influence on cell arrangement. RT-PCR results showed that meniscus cells had higher gene expressions of aggrecan, collagen I, collagen II and Sox 9 when seeded on fibers with higher DMECM contents.
