ations. Evidence of the causal linkage between this lack of knowledge and practice regarding building-environment-occupant interactions is accumulating. A software program which can evaluate the pollu tant load of different elements (e.g. materials, products, furniture, layout, ventilation) will be presented. This processing model can be very useful in the evaluation of the pollution load of the building, during the design phase, maintenance cycles or retrofitting processes. Moreover it can simplify the evaluation process with a methodical approach concerning the identification of significant data collected, while maintaining the complexity of the environment. This software program is a flexible system, with updating and interface compatibil ity. The use of the software will be presented.
