Purpose. This paper synthesizes empirical evidence on how to strengthen warehouse-centred supply chains in post-conflict economies facing damaged infrastructure, intermittent access, and volatile demand. Methodology. A systematic review of 15 protocol-verified empirical and simulation studies is conducted, coding contexts, warehouse interventions, and outcomes such as response time, service level/OTIF, inventory stability, delivery days, and unit logistics costs, with limited random-effects aggregation when comparable metrics are available. Results. Robust effects are identified for warehouse prepositioning, temporary or modular depots, lateral transshipment policies, and multi-echelon inventory control, which collectively reduce response times, increase service levels, and stabilise supply with moderate cost impacts. Digital enablers such as offline-capable warehouse management systems and energy‑autonomous facilities further enhance performance under grid and connectivity failures, though quantitative evidence remains sparse. Theoretical contribution. The review integrates the four-R flexibility perspective with the resilience capacities of absorption, adaptation, and recovery, showing how specific warehouse design and control levers operationalise resilience in the recovery phase of humanitarian and essential goods supply chains. Practical implications. The paper proposes a phased implementation roadmap for practitioners in post‑conflict settings, distinguishing quick wins in the first 0–3 months, network reconfiguration over 3–12 months, and longer‑term investments beyond 12 months to embed digital and energy autonomy in warehouse networks. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 2: Zero Hunger; SDG 3: Good Health and Well‑Being; SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth; SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities; SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production; SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions

Abstract The Mancos-Niobrara formation in western Colorado is estimated by the USGS to contain 66 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. Successfully developing this asset depends on understanding the geology, geomechanics, the impact of fracture length and height, conductivity, fracture spacing, and well spacing on estimated ultimate recovery. The Mancos-Niobrara has tremendous resource potential and is in the early stages of development in the study area. This paper discusses the development and application of a detailed numerical reservoir model to guide best practice development. Six wells drilled from two multi-well pads and hydraulically fractured to produce natural gas are the subject of this paper. This study provides a comprehensive evaluation and integrated approach to help optimize field development in this new emerging play. The reservoir model includes six wells on two pads. The reservoir was characterized using geochemistry, triple-combo logs, dipole-sonic logs, and formation images. Completion geometry and efficiency were evaluated by collecting data including micro-seismic fracture mapping, micro-deformation, mini-fracturing tests, and production logs. Different designs or treatment schedules were utilized during completion operations to provide additional information on the formation sensitivity to differing completion parameters. The numerical reservoir modeling performed in this study gives deference to the rich data collected. The model was used to estimate effective fracture lengths and heights, evaluate well communications, predict individual well performance, and identify areas for economic optimization. Created fracture half-lengths were estimated to be 900-1,000 ft. This result shows excellent agreement between history matching the hydraulic fracture treatment, micro-seismic monitoring, and production results. The reservoir model confirms direct hydraulic connections, modeled as a few high-conductivity pathways (‘pipelines’), crossing multiple wells that could result from the repeated enhancement of the same natural fracture network during different treatment stages. Production results show large performance differences among the wells despite the similarity in completion designs which is attributed to well interference and shared production. Therefore, it would be advantageous in future development―utilizing essentially the same completion technique, double well spacing to 2,700 ft., while still maintaining 75%-80% gas recovery factors over 40 years, and drilling half the number of wells. Production logging indicated that only 30% of perforated clusters were producing a significant amount of gas. The simulation sensitivity shows that significant gas production boost was possible, especially in the first five years, if cluster efficiency was increased. Fracture conductivity was found to be of secondary importance for short and long-term gas recoveries due to the low system permeabilities. Accordingly, the flexibility in diversion techniques and varying proppant size to increase cluster efficiency should be tested. The reservoir modeling also shows that only a portion of the gross formation thickness may be effectively produced implying that the effective fracture height may be less than 750 ft. measured by micro-deformation. This leads to a future opportunity of targeting the more liquids-rich upper Niobrara zones in addition to the lower gas-producing interval.

In this study, we examined the lived experiences of an understudied subgroup, Portuguese American gay men, within the context of sexual script theory. We employed a phenomenological study design with eight men to provide a more in-depth analysis of their sociocultural sexual behaviours. Recruitment was conducted through word of mouth and a snowball approach beginning with two well-known HIV education and prevention outreach centres in southeastern Massachusetts. In this study, the sexual scripts of the participants were conceptualised within the three domains of cultural, interpersonal and intrapsychic scripts. Our findings suggest the three scripts are constantly interacting and informing one another. This ongoing negotiation influences the way our participants position their sexuality within the broader context of their everyday life within the US Portuguese community. Participants script their sexuality while they navigate multiple but separate entities within their culture, their religion and their families. Learning from these experiences could have important implications for the development of HIV prevention programmes for specific subgroups of men who have sex with men.

The purpose of this study was to investigate an adaptive airfoil design to alleviate, or greatly reduce, the negative effects of dynamic stall on rotorcraft blades. The adaptive airfoil design uses compliant structures technology to design an aerodynamically smooth, variable droop leading edge for airfoil dynamic stall control. The research presented here will focus on the numerical predictions of the aerodynamic performance of the adaptive leading edge. Both steady and unsteady time-accurate numerical predictions for a two-dimensional pitching and deforming airfoil were performed using a modified version of the Navier-Stokes solver OVERFLOW. The OVERFLOW code was modified to allow for a dynamically deforming grid system and variable Mach number capability. Numerical simulations were obtained with increasing complexity: from a simple fixed Mach number with a sinusoidal pitch cycle through a prescribed pitch distribution with fully variable Mach and a dynamically deforming airfoil. Results obtained to date indicate that the variable droop/camber compliant leading-edge system can achieve a higher C lmax than a baseline section, or eliminate the dynamic stall vortex at a C l equivalent to the baseline section C lmax while maintaining the baseline section's high Mach number advancing blade characteristics.

.Exponentially decaying sinusoid waveforms have been used to model oscillatory brain electrical activity. This is mathematically based on properties at the cell membrane level and on the interactions of masses of interacting excitatory and inhibitory neurons. Two parameters of this waveform, wavelength and decay, have been used to recognize individual waveform components, and to distinguish and quantify the effects of variables such as attention, arousal, drugs, and age.Clinical and wider research exploration of these parameters has been impeded by absence of an efficient means of waveform analysis. This paper introduces related algorithms to solve this problem. Two methods which are frequency sensitive, in effect either sharpening or smoothing raw data, and which are already in use, can be independently rederived. Further insight is thus gained into differencing related spike detection, and the Hanning 3-point smooth algorithm.

Reflecting tubes and ducts can be used to holographically record three dimensional images of poorly accessible objects to microscopic resolutions. Tests with hollow glass tubes and ducts (made from front surface mirrors) indicate that the resolution of the holographic system is significantly improved.
