ABSTRACT This study examined the effect of a six-month virtual mindfulness program on the emotional stability of school psychologists in Kazakhstan and Russia. The goal was to assess whether structured mindfulness training leads to significant improvements in emotional well-being. A quantitative approach was used. School psychologists were randomly assigned to an experimental group that participated in the mindfulness program or a control group with no intervention. Emotional stability was measured using the Eysenck Personality Inventory (EPI) before and after the intervention. The results indicated a marked improvement in emotional stability in the experimental group compared to the control group. Participants who underwent the mindfulness training demonstrated a marked reduction in emotional instability, as reflected by large effect sizes and statistically significant differences in post-test scores. These results were consistent across both the Kazakhstani and Russian experimental groups. The findings support the effectiveness of virtual mindfulness programs in enhancing the emotional stability of school psychologists. The study contributes to the growing literature on mindfulness-based interventions and underscores the value of digital communication methods in promoting mental well-being within professional development programs, particularly in non-Western settings.

This study investigates the role of student self-government in developing managerial potential among university students in Kazakhstan through a quasi-experimental design. The research assessed how structured participation in self-government affects leadership qualities, organizational skills, and self-efficacy. Two comparable student cohorts were observed over one academic year: an experimental group (n = 90) that participated in a structured self-government program and a control group (n = 78) that followed the standard curriculum. Both groups completed identical pre- and post-intervention assessments using validated psychometric instruments measuring motivation, self-esteem, achievement drive, and psycho-emotional wellbeing. Statistical analyses revealed that the experimental group showed significant improvements in self-orientation, self-esteem, and psycho-emotional indicators (Cohen's d ≈ 0.4–0.6), whereas the control group exhibited no meaningful change. These results demonstrate that systematic engagement in student self-government can moderately enhance managerial potential through experiential leadership practice. The findings underscore the educational value of structured self-governance initiatives for fostering managerial and leadership competencies in higher education.

IntroductionXinjiang is a region renowned for its rich diversity of native horse breeds, making it one of the most affluent equine genetic resource areas in China. While prized for their high adaptability and tolerance to roughage, the conservation of these native breeds faces challenges from the introduction of external breeds and industrial changes. Furthermore, the unknown population structure of Xinjiang horse breeds has hindered effective conservation efforts.MethodsThis study presents the first comprehensive Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) analysis of seven Xinjiang native horse breeds. We utilized 10X whole-genome sequencing to assess their genetic diversity, population structure, and genetic relationships.ResultsOur findings revealed a high level of population genetic diversity among the Xinjiang native horse breeds. These breeds exhibited significant genetic differentiation from other horse breeds originating from Europe, Central Asia, Western Asia, and other parts of China. Evidence of frequent historical gene flow was detected, particularly among breeds in northern Xinjiang, which were shown to be more closely related to each other.Discussion This study elucidates the distribution patterns, evolutionary characteristics, and substantial genetic diversity of Xinjiang’s native horse breeds. The results provide crucial insights into their unique genetic background and population history. These findings offer valuable theoretical support for establishing core conservation groups of local germplasm, guiding future breeding programs for new cultivars, and further exploration of the characteristics inherent to Xinjiang’s native horse genetic resources.

ABSTRACT The pressing need for clean water and the limitations of conventional treatment technologies have spurred the development of multifunctional and energy‐efficient water purification systems. This study presents an innovative single‐stage electrochemical treatment system that integrates anodic oxidation with capacitive deionization (AO‐CDI) for the simultaneous removal of organic pollutants, heavy metals, and dissolved salts from wastewater. Unlike traditional multi‐unit approaches, this hybrid system combines a boron‐doped diamond (BDD) anode for hydroxyl radical‐driven oxidation with a carbon aerogel‐based CDI unit for targeted ion removal, offering a compact and scalable solution. Under optimized conditions (4.0 V, 60 min), the system achieved 98% chemical oxygen demand (COD) reduction, 95% lead and 91% chromium removal, and 85% total dissolved solids (TDS) reduction. Microbial disinfection exceeded 99.5% for E. coli and total coliforms. Remarkably, these outcomes were attained with a total energy consumption of only 0.35 kWh/m 3 , outperforming many existing advanced oxidation processes. The results demonstrate the AO‐CDI system's potential as a sustainable and decentralized treatment platform, capable of addressing complex wastewater streams in an energy‐ and cost‐efficient manner.

Objective: Coronary artery disease (CAD) remains one of the leading causes of mortality and disability worldwide. In patients with CAD, the lumen of the coronary arteries gradually narrows due to atherosclerosis, leading to an imbalance between myocardial oxygen supply and demand. Non-invasive methods such as scintigraphy and positron emission tomography (PET) are widely used for the diagnosis of CAD. Invasive coronary angiography (ICA) has long been considered the "gold standard" for diagnosing CAD. However, studies have shown that the degree of stenosis determined by ICA does not always correlate with the functional significance of the lesion. The aim of our study was to investigate the correlations between the volume, length, and diameter of coronary arteries, myocardial mass (MM), and anthropometric indicators such as height, weight, body mass index, body surface area, age, and sex. Methods: We analyzed 654 medical records of patients who underwent inpatient treatment at the Pavlodar Regional Cardiology Center from November 2024 to January 2025. The patients, aged 18 years and older, were hospitalized with coronary artery pathology, received conservative treatment, and underwent diagnostic coronary angiography (D-CAG). Results: Our study revealed a significant positive correlation between the volume of coronary arteries and myocardial mass, myocardial mass and patient weight, patient height and the length of coronary arteries (p < 0.05). However, no association was found between the volume of coronary arteries, their diameter, and other anthropometric indicators (body mass index, body surface area) (p > 0.05). Conclusion: Thus, our study demonstrates that the dimensions of coronary arteries are closely related to the anthropometric characteristics of the patient.

The article presents an analysis of the world experience in the use of digital technologies in the accounting of game animals. Key approaches are considered, such as the use of geographic information systems (GIS) to analyze the suitability of habitats and the potential number of mammals and birds, automated systems for monitoring and accounting of animals using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and camera traps. Examples from various countries are analyzed, where the digitalization of monitoring and accounting of animal communities has increased the accuracy of the data obtained, which has reduced the impact on ecosystems and improved the management of hunting resources. The possibility of adapting these technologies to the conditions of Kazakhstan is considered, with an emphasis on the need for an integrated approach to monitoring to ensure the sustainable development of the hunting industry and the preservation of natural heritage in the face of global environmental challenges. The presented results can be used to develop effective strategies for the digitalization of wildlife monitoring in Kazakhstan and other countries with similar natural and climatic conditions.

This study analyses the experience of integrating sustainable development modules into the curricula of two Kazakh universities. Unlike most Western models, the project is adapted to the conditions of a developing country, taking into account limited resources and institutional barriers. Key findings include an increase in students’ knowledge, but a group of “ecological indifference” was identified that requires special pedagogical approaches. Practical difficulties, such as resistance from teachers, and the rigidity of the curriculum reduce the effectiveness of integration. The study offers not only an implementation algorithm, but also a framework for its adaptation in other post-Soviet contexts, filling a gap in the literature on sustainable development for developing regions.

The purpose of this article is to critically analyze the potential and challenges associated with the use of GenAI (generative artificial intelligence) in the automated verification and formation of students' programming knowledge assessments. In terms of methodology, this study employs a mixed approach: analyzing the functionality of popular generative models and platforms for competitive programming (Codeforces, LeetCode, HackerRank), as well as comparing their applicability to various task formats and types of knowledge (syntactic, semantic, logical). The possibilities of such systems in providing adaptive feedback, automating routine checks, and supporting individualized training are considered. It was revealed that, despite advantages such as scalability, interactivity, and the ability to generate contextually relevant content, there are significant limitations, including risks of incorrect assessment, vulnerability to model deception, lack of pedagogical interpretation of results, and potential dependence of students on AI assistance. In conclusion, the need to develop regulatory, pedagogical, and technical frameworks that ensure the ethical and responsible application of GenAI in programming knowledge assessment systems is emphasized.

The industrial era is gradually giving way to a creative economy driven by human resources. This study aimed to assess the impact of human resources within the creative economy on countries’ economic growth. The focus was on human capital involved in the creative economy. Panel data from 21 countries (2016–2023) were analyzed. The ILO classification methodology for employment types was applied. A fixed-effects regression model was employed to assess the impact of human capital on economic growth, while controlling for relevant factors. The model’s coefficient of determination increased from 0.494 to 0.652 with the addition of new variables, indicating improved accuracy. These variables were used to assess the effect of creative economy indicators on GDP per capita across countries. A direct correlation has been established between the share of employed people involved in the creative economy and the country’s level of economic development, specifically in terms of GDP per capita (Gini coefficient: r = –0.431, P = 0.01). The quantitative importance of human resources of the creative economy was calculated for both developed and developing countries of the world. The practical value of the obtained results lies in the possibility of their use for the development of public management decisions to stimulate the economic growth of the country.
