The number of Shidu parents (parents over the age of 45 years who have lost their only child) has been increasing in China, which is important because Shidu parents experience depressive symptoms. This study investigated the potential mediating roles of mindfulness and resilience in the relation between social support and depressive symptoms among Shidu parents. From June to December 2021, 111 Shidu parents in Baoji city, China, completed a web-based survey on social support, depressive symptoms, mindfulness, and resilience. The results indicated that Shidu parents suffer from a high risk of depressive symptoms, and significant correlations were found between the study variables. Path analysis models showed that the relation between social support and depressive symptoms in Shidu parents was fully mediated by a combination of mindfulness and resilience. These findings further highlighted the significance of social support, mindfulness, and resilience in potentially alleviating depressive symptoms among Shidu parents.

Abstract Children experience peer relationship conflicts related to object possession from early childhood. They achieve social–emotional development by adjusting mutual desires and overcoming conflicts using different conflict‐coping strategies. Conflict studies have examined the effects of conditions, such as who first owned an object, and strategies employed by children of varying age groups. On the other hand, longitudinal studies on this issue are rare. We examined children's conflict‐coping strategy development under different conditions about who possessed an object first using data from three time points in early childhood. The results showed no effects of conditions on three developmental patterns: strategy transition characterized by dependence on others, social strategy dominance characterized by autonomy, or emotional strategy dominance characterized by non‐autonomy. Logistic regression analysis indicated that gender and inhibitory control defined these patterns. Moreover, there was an interactional effect of family caregiving attitudes and opportunities for contact with peers. These results indicate the reciprocal influence of family caregiving and peer relationship on early childhood development related to conflict experiences.

本研究は，全国47都道府県の4年制または6年制大学に在籍する4,120名の大学生にweb質問紙調査を実施し，大学生の注意欠如・多動傾向と抑うつとの関連を明らかにするとともに，注意欠如・多動傾向がコロナ禍におけるストレスを媒介して抑うつへと関連するメカニズムについて実証的検討を行った。パス解析の結果，注意欠如・多動傾向から抑うつへの直接の正の関連に加え，注意欠如・多動傾向の高さがコロナ禍におけるストレスの高さを媒介して抑うつの高さへと関連を示すことが明らかとなった。注意欠如・多動傾向の下位尺度である不注意および多動性・衝動性に関しても，不注意と多動性・衝動性の各変数から抑うつへの直接の正の関連に加え，不注意，多動性・衝動性の高さがコロナ禍におけるストレスの高さを媒介して抑うつの高さへと関連を示した。なお，注意欠如・多動傾向，不注意，多動性・衝動性のいずれのモデルについても，媒介モデルの間接効果は小さなものであった。

The award-winning novel Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata, first published in 2016 as コンビニ人間 (Konbini ningen), has received a lot of media attention from readers of both the original Japanese version and the English translation. For some, the novel depicts the wonder and vulnerability of a culture of convenience and conformity, while others have suggested that it highlights the gender discrimination faced by women in contemporary Japan. Yet the novel is ripe for analyses from other perspectives. This paper presents one such new approach to analysing Murata’s Convenience Store Woman: its social-cum-auditory aesthetic. The theory of social aesthetics, developed by Arnold Berleant, essentially holds that there are perceptive values to be found not only in objects but also in social situations. The paper will argue that the convenience store’s environment – the social interactions, and soundscape presented in the novel – invokes and evokes a variety of aesthetic qualities, among them ‘acceptance’, ‘sensuousness’, and ‘reciprocity’. Combining a re-reading methodology and an application of Berleant’s social aesthetics theory, I will show how these sensibilities can be observed through the experiences of Keiko Furukawa, a life-long convenience store worker and the novel’s protagonist. Specifically, the focus will be on Keiko’s auditory sensibilities.

妊娠中から出産後20年まで追跡した親子の縦断研究に基づき，母親の子育て意識が子どもの発達に伴ってどう変化するかを調べた。本研究は1984年に始まったもので，既に子どもの問題行動の発生機序などいくつかの知見を報告している（菅原ほか，1999）。首都圏の総合病院産科を受診した妊婦1300名あまりに対し，繰り返し質問紙調査を依頼し回答を得た。今回報告するのは生まれた子どもが6ヶ月，1歳半，5歳，10歳，14歳，18歳，22歳の期間に母親が回答した子育て意識である。各期で子育てに対するポジティブな側面とネガティブな側面を表す同じ質問項目に対し5段階評定を求めた。各期において子育て意識の構造はほぼ同様であったため，同じ項目で構成したポジティブ意識とネガティブ意識をそれぞれ算出した。ポジティブな子育て意識は乳児期（6ヶ月，1歳半）で高く，その後は一定で変動が少なかった。ネガティブな子育て意識は1歳半で低く，その後上昇して5歳および子どもが10代になった時に高くなることが示された。子どもが成人して以降，子育てを振り返った時にはポジティブ，ネガティブ双方の子育て意識が上昇していた。

初等中等教育における生命領域の教育を，コンピテンス基盤型に再構成することを目的として研究を行ってきた。生命科学領域では，近年分子生物学をはじめとする新たな知見の増加や工学などの他領域との融合が進行し，取り巻く様相が変化している。学習指導要領においても生命領域で扱うコンテンツは変化し，高等学校生物では，新たな判断基準を求められるバイオテクノロジーなどの内容が含まれるようになっている。本研究においてはこのような変化を踏まえながら，医学教育における基本形を参考に，幼稚園，小学校，中学校，高等学校での生命科学教育において育成すべき資質・能力を抽出した。さらに理科の他領域で同様に抽出された資質・能力と統合・整理を行い，初等中等理科教育において児童生徒に育む4つのドメイン・オブ・コンピテンスに集約した。さらにここで整理されたドメイン・オブ・コンピテンスに基づき，生命科学教育が担うべきコンピテンス育成のための高等学校生物基礎における学習活動を考案するとともに，その実践を行った。
