Reflexive migration research emphasizes the critical examination of knowledge production—particularly concerning researchers’ positionalities, the categories they employ, and the institutional contexts in which they operate. We aim to extend this research stream by systematically engaging with linguistic positioning, which remains an underexplored feature in migration studies. Hence, our article critically engages with the multilingual challenges encountered in a sub‐study of our project, The Art of Arriving, which reconstructively examined the experiences of individuals who fled Ukraine to Austria during the early months of Russia’s war of aggression. Our contribution pursues two main objectives. First, we highlight the linguistic challenges that arose at various stages of the research process—including material collection, field access, data collection, translation, and reconstructive data analysis—and critically reflect on the strategies we adopted to address them. The active involvement of researchers with both cultural and linguistic expertise, combined with a reflexive and continuous dialogue within the entire research team, was crucial for navigating the multilingual research landscape. Second, we argue that translation processes in such projects should not merely be viewed as obstacles to overcome. Instead, these processes should be recognized as integral to the research itself. When critically reflected upon and facilitated through dialogue with culturally and linguistically familiar researchers, multilingualism can even enable deeper and more nuanced reconstructive analyses.

The article examines the moral and ethical and philosophical principles of mythology. Understanding its philosophical and historical meaning will help to better understand the characteristics and values of different cultures. Despite their antiquity, myths resonate in the modern world. They reflect the values and beliefs of different peoples and eras, and their careful study helps us to better understand ourselves and others. The philosophical aspects of mythology include the analysis of how myths reflect and shape the worldview and values of the societies that created them. Through myths, we can trace the evolution of human thinking from irrational to rational, from magical to scientific worldviews. Myths serve as ‘markers’ of time and place, reflecting the worldview, ethical standards, and social structures of a particular era and culture. They help to identify what values were important to a society, how that society saw its place in the world, and how it tried to explain natural and social phenomena. The study of mythology helps reveal how historical events and socio-cultural changes affect the evolution of mythological ideas and are reflected in mythological stories. This is important for understanding the processes of cultural and intellectual development in society. The study of mythology also helps identify common themes and moral principles underlying various mythological systems, which may indicate the universality of some aspects of human experience and values. Mythology acts as an important source for the study of cultural, philosophical, and historical aspects of society and contributes to the expansion of our understanding of human nature and its history.

The problem of roots existence for different classes of matrix such as simple and semisimple matrices from SL2(F), SL2(Z) and GL2(F) are solved. For this purpose, we first introduced the concept of an extended special linear group ESL2(F), which is generalisation of the matrix group SL2(F), where F is arbitrary perfect field. The group of unimodular matrices and extended symplectic group ESp2(R) are generalised by us, their structures are found. Our criterion oriented on a general class of matrix depending of the form of minimal and characteristic polynomials, moreover a proposed criterion holds in GL2(F), where F is an arbitrary field. The method of matrix factorisation is outlined. We show that ESL2(F) is a set of all square matrix roots from SL2(F) except of that established in our root existence criterion.

Introduction. The relevance of the proposed article is determined by the need to characterize the precedent phenomena in modern military poetry, which belong to important components of national culture and linguistic picture of the world and reflect the specificity of national consciousness and the attitude of the ethnic group to its own history and culture.Purpose. The purpose of the article is to analyze the phenomenon of precedent in modern Ukrainian military poetry.Methods. The main methods of research are the method of linguistic description of language facts – for inventory, systematization and classification of precedent phenomena; hermeneutic method – for interpreting the deep meaning of texts with them; the structural method represented by the transformative analysis technique – to find out the specifics of the transformation of precedent units; the method of observation, focused on understanding the essence of the investigated language phenomenon, its commenting and generalization.Results. The essence of the concept of “precedent phenomenon” in the context of the phenomenon of intertextuality is clarified; the main functions of precedent phenomena in fiction are singled out; the typology and source base of precedent phenomena recorded in modern military poetry are analyzed, the peculiarities of the transformation of precedent units are investigated.Originality. The originality of the scientific research lies in the fact that for the first time the functional potential of precedent phenomena in modern military poetry is researched, and their place and role in the organization of the artistic world is characterized.Conclusion. It was concluded that in the context of the phenomenon of intertextuality, the precedent phenomena demonstrate the specificity of their implementation in formal, substantive and functional manifestations, they are a consequence of the interrelationship of the national cognitive base, language and culture. The main functions of precedent phenomena in fiction are outlined; emphasis isplaced on nominative, characteristic, expressive, pragmatic, password and game functions.According to the level of precedent, social, national and universal precedent phenomena used in modern military poetry are distinguished. Several groups are differentiated according to the sources of borrowing: precedent phenomena of literary, mythological, biblical, folklore origin, precedent phenomena associated with other types of art (music, painting, cinematography), historical precedent phenomena associated with a specific historical person or event. It is emphasized that precedent units are forms of verbalization of precedent phenomena. Precedent phenomena are actualized through reference to a precedent situation, a precedent text, a precedent name, a precedent expression, or their combination. The analysis proved that the transformed precedent unit expands the boundaries of individual and authorial thought, diversifies standardized speech formulas, gives them greater expressiveness, causes the effect of destroying expectations, and at the same time is the generation of new content.
