Proteoglycans (PTG) of hair follicle (HF) play a key structural and regulatory role in cyclic mechanisms of HF development. Some of the PTGs have their own expression characteristics during the change of HF development phases, that confirms functional activity in HF biology. Dysregulation of PTG metabolism can indirectly cause the development of pathological processes with human hair growth irregularities. The aim of the study was to assess the tolerability, efficacy and adherence of adjuvant proteoglycan replacement therapy in the comprehensive treatment of patients with androgenetic alopecia (AGA) and telogen effluvium (TE). In dynamics, hair condition was studied in 42 patients (35 women and 7 men) with AGA (n=32) and TE (n=10) diagnosis. After a 4-month course of comprehensive therapy, 38 (90.5%) patients showed a positive dynamics in the form of pronounced improvement and improvement, including 28 (87.5%) patients with AGA and 10 (100%) patients with TE. The follow-up control of phototrichogram in 18 patients showed an improvement of all determined hair parameters in all patients with TE, and in all parameters except the average hair diameter in patients with AGA.
