Introduction:This study proposes an analysis of the organizational climate and job satisfaction in nursing workers, seeing that work also carries positive elements, which impact on well-being and reduction of weakness throughout the productive life.Method: This is a exploratory study, with a quantitative approach, developed in the university hospital, with 242 active nursing workers.To the data collection were carried three instruments: Sociodemographic and Professional Characterization Questionnaire, the Organizational Climate Scale for Health Organizations (OCSHO), and the Job Satisfaction Questionnaire -S20/S23, valued to the Brazilian context.The descriptive analysis occurred through averages, standard deviation.To the associations between job satisfaction and organizational climate were applied the correlation coefficient of Pearson, and the correlation coefficient of Spearman.To establish comparisons among the score of Job Satisfaction averages according to the categories of the quantitative variables initially was assessed the variance homogeneity through the Barlett test, bearing in mind that the variables presented constant variance, the ANOVA Test, and afterward the post hoc test of Bonferroni for multiple comparisons.Results: It was found that nursing workers feel satisfied, with an overall score of 3.22 points, with the highest index related to intrinsic job satisfaction, with 3.30 points.As for the assessment of the organizational climate, workers reported being favorable, with a score of 3.49, ranging from 1.63 to 5.00 points, with the highest index related to leadership, with 3.81 points.The analysis of the association between Job Satisfaction and Organizational Climate identified a statistically significant correlation between climate and satisfaction, proving that the higher organizational climate score, the greater the job satisfaction.Conclusions: a statistically meaningful correlation between climate and satisfaction was identified, with a highlight to the issues concerning the satisfaction intrinsic to work, leadership, and higher age.It stands out
