Speech resynthesis is a generic task for which we want to synthesize audio with another audio as input, which finds applications for media monitors and journalists. Among different tasks addressed by speech resynthesis, voice conversion preserves the linguistic information while modifying the identity of the speaker, and speech edition preserves the identity of the speaker but some words are modified. In both cases, we need to disentangle speaker and phonetic contents in intermediate representations. Phonetic PosteriorGrams (PPG) are a frame-level probabilistic representation of phonemes, and are usually considered speaker-independent. This paper presents a PPG-based speech resynthesis system. A perceptive evaluation assesses that it produces correct audio quality. Then, we demonstrate that an automatic speaker verification model is not able to recover the source speaker after re-synthesis with PPG, even when the model is trained on synthetic data.

In this paper, we present a three-dimensional (3D) numerical model that describes a high current vacuum arc in the subsonic regime between copper contacts under the influence of an axial magnetic field (AMF). The model is based on a MHD approach to the inter-electrode plasma and is realized with the commercial software Ansys Fluent. Only the plasma region is modelled. The behaviour of the copper electrodes is taken into account by specific boundary conditions. We describe the model, the boundary conditions and present the simulation results. Temperature profiles and electron and ion densities will be presented in a reference case. Based on this arc modelling, a parametric study on arc characteristics will be performed, including varying the AMF strength, the ablation rate and the current intensity.

Herd sheep is the leading supplier of red meat in Algeria, which places fattening lambs the animal speculation of choice. Despite the extent of this practice and its importance in the national economy, few studies have been devoted to characterizing it. Precisely, the aim of the present work is to study the growth performance Ouled Djellal lambs male in the fattening phase at semi-arid region of Serif. A set of 43 weaned lambs aged 7 months and over are monitored and weighed regularly every ten days for two months. The animals are fed with a commercial concentrate, wheat straw and water ad-libitum. The results obtained on the male lambs growth remain acceptable. Thus, the initial average live weight is 33±1.48 kg and the final average live weight is 43±1.44 kg, which gives us an average daily gain (ADG) of 165±45 g/d. This reveals the growth potential of Ouled Djellal lambs and its preferred choice by breeders-fatteners. While remembering that the majority of lambs were grass-fed before fattening period. There is therefore poor exploitation growth potential of these lambs, food deficits and poor management breeding are probably the cause.

This paper discusses our vision of multirole-capable decision-making systems across a broad range of Data Science (DS) workflows working on graphs through disaggregated data centres. Our vision is that an alternative is possible to work on a disaggregated solution for the provision of computational services under the notion of a disaggregated data centre. We define this alternative as a virtual entity that dynamically provides resources crosscutting the layers of edge, fog and data centre according to the workloads submitted by the workflows and their Service Level Objectives.
