This study aims to analyze the influence of mudharabah and musyarakah financing on the growth of Islamic bank assets in Indonesia. The research employs a quantitative approach using primary data collected from 200 respondents through a structured questionnaire measured with a Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS version 25, including validity and reliability testing, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression, and hypothesis testing. The results indicate that mudharabah financing has a positive and significant effect on Islamic bank asset growth with a regression coefficient of 0.382 and a significance value of 0.000. Similarly, musyarakah financing shows a positive and significant influence with a regression coefficient of 0.417 and a significance value of 0.000. Simultaneously, both financing schemes significantly contribute to asset growth, as indicated by an F-value of 65.721 and an R Square of 0.401. These findings suggest that profit-sharing financing plays an important role in strengthening asset expansion and financial sustainability within Islamic banking institutions. The study provides practical implications for Islamic bank management to optimize partnership-based financing strategies and contributes to the literature on Islamic financial performance in Indonesia.

The use of shade and planting materials is expected to provide an effective solution to increase the introduction of highland cabbage in the tropical lowlands. This research aims to evaluate the growth response of cabbage plants under different shading intensities and planting materials. The experiment was arranged following a split-plot design with shading intensity as the main plot, and the subplots were planting material. The results showed that morphological alterations were found in cabbage grown under different shading intensities, especially under heavier shading treatment (80%). Denser shading caused elongation of stems and internodes due to etiolation. On the other hand, it decreased the stem diameter, number of leaves, canopy area, leaf area, leaf fresh weight, leaf dry weight, and inhibited root development during the plant development process from 2 to 12 weeks after transplanting. The use of different planting materials did not have any significant effect on all traits of highland cabbage cultivated in the lowlands. The cultivation of highland cabbage should be practiced under direct sunlight, not requiring shading treatment. Canopy growth of cabbage planted under direct sunlight showed a denser visual appearance, as reflected in the ability of cabbage to form a crop. Keywords: crop vegetable; morphological traits; plant acclimation; sunlight intensity; vegetative propagation.

This study investigates the role of language learning strategies (LLS) in shaping Indonesian EFL learners’ speaking performance by integrating quantitative and qualitative evidence in a mixed-methods design. Specifically, it aims to (1) describe learners’ use of LLS, (2) examine the correlation between LLS and speaking performance, (3) identify the predictive contribution of LLS to speaking outcomes, and (4) explore learners’ strategic experiences in speaking development through responses to open-ended questionnaire items. Eighty undergraduate EFL students participated in the study. Quantitative data were collected using the Strategy Inventory for Language Learning (SILL) and a speaking performance test, while qualitative data were obtained from learners’ open-ended responses about how they used strategies in practice. The quantitative results revealed a very strong positive correlation between LLS and speaking performance (r = .912, p < .001), indicating that students who employed strategies more frequently tended to achieve higher speaking scores. Multiple regression analysis showed that no single LLS category uniquely predicted speaking performance due to severe multicollinearity among strategy types, suggesting that LLS operate as an integrated, interdependent system rather than isolated components. Descriptive results indicated that cognitive strategies were the most dominant, while qualitative evidence showed that learners actively combined cognitive, metacognitive, social, and affective strategies including repeated practice, imitation, planning, self-monitoring, and peer interaction. Learners demonstrated strong self-regulation in overcoming challenges and benefited from teacher feedback, peer support, and technological tools. Overall, the findings highlight that strategic behavior is crucial for enhancing speaking fluency, accuracy, and confidence, implying that EFL instruction should explicitly foster strategic awareness and provide supportive learning environments to optimize speaking development.

Background: Adolescence is the transition period from childhood to adulthood, spanning the ages of 10 to 19. A 2022 APJII survey found that adolescents constitute the largest group of gadget users. Excessive gadget use leads to gadget addiction, which can lead to eye damage, obesity, aggressive behavior, impaired social interaction, and even mental illness. Given the magnitude of these impacts, various preventative measures are needed, one of which is through screening and education for adolescents. Purpose: To analyze the Screening and Education for Gadget Addiction (SEGA) program to increase knowledge about gadget addiction prevention among adolescents. Method: A pre-experimental study, with a single pretest and posttest group, without a control group. The study population was adolescents living in Plaju Darat Village, Palembang. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, with inclusion criteria being adolescents who were cooperative and willing to participate in SEGA. Exclusion criteria were adolescents with illness. The sample size for this study was 172 participants. Results: Screening for gadget addiction revealed a small percentage of adolescents, with 37% having mild addiction and 63% having no addiction. Participants' knowledge before SEGA increased from an average of 52 to 81 after the SEGA intervention. A Wilcoxon statistical test showed a difference in knowledge about gadget addiction prevention before and after SEGA with a p-value of 0.001. Conclusion: There was a significant difference between adolescents' knowledge levels regarding gadget addiction prevention before and after the intervention. Keywords: Education; Gadget Addiction; Knowledge; Screening; Teenagers. Pendahuluan: Remaja merupakan masa peralihan dari usia anak menuju dewasa, dimulai dari usia 10 sampai dengan 19 tahun. A curator who has many duties and authorities in carrying out his duties during the bankruptcy process will certainly encounter many problems or obstacles that must be overcome, however, even though the duties and authorities granted by the Law are quite broad, in practice, not a few curators and administrators experience obstacles in carrying out their duties and authorities. Almost recently it was also known that the curator had been sued in court by the bankrupt debtor where the bankrupt debtor thought what the curator had done was wrong and was considered to have stolen or embezzled the bankrupt debtor's assets, in this case what often happens is that there is no protection for the curator in carrying out his duties. The type of research used in this writing is normative legal research. With the existence of reports that seem forced and also fabricated, until now it can still be accepted by the police so that it seems as if the curator is a suspect who committed embezzlement because he made a sale without the agreement of the debtor, even though this is a series of stages in bankruptcy. So in this case it is known that this criminalization may actually be due to a lack of understanding by law enforcement in carrying out their duties. Therefore, legal protection for curators in carrying out their duties is necessary to prevent further criminalization of curators and administrators in Indonesia. The Curator and Administrator Profession Law will establish competency standards, national licenses, codes of ethics, and independent oversight mechanisms. This law should also provide limited immunity for curators and administrators who have worked according to procedures and in good faith. This protection is crucial so they can make swift decisions without the fear of criminalization.

Despite the widespread use of government-developed lesson plans and digital instructional tools in Philippine secondary schools, little is known about how English teachers interpret and adapt these mandated materials in combination with PowerPoint-based instruction to meet diverse classroom needs. This study examines how Filipino English teachers interpret and implement government-developed lesson plans in combination with PowerPoint-based instruction in secondary school classrooms. It explores teachers’ perceptions of the effectiveness of these instructional resources and the challenges they encounter when adapting centrally designed materials to diverse learner needs. Employing a mixed-methods design, the study involved eight English teachers from a public secondary school in the Philippines. Data were collected through non-participant classroom observations and online questionnaires consisting of both closed-ended and open-ended items. Quantitative data were analysed using descriptive statistics, while qualitative responses were examined through thematic analysis. The findings indicate a strong teacher preference for PowerPoint due to its flexibility, visual affordances, and capacity to support interactive learning. Despite this preference, textbooks remain valued for providing structure, supporting independent learning, and ensuring curriculum coverage. Government-developed lesson plans were perceived as useful for alignment with national standards, but were frequently criticised for their limited flexibility, requiring teachers to adapt them to suit classroom realities. Key challenges identified include time constraints, limited professional training, and unequal access to technological resources. The study highlights the importance of blended instructional approaches that integrate digital tools with conventional materials and underscores the need for greater teacher autonomy, targeted professional development, and improved infrastructure to support effective technology integration in English language teaching.

Corruption is recognized as a global phenomenon and classified as an extraordinary crime both nationally and internationally. Therefore, it requires equally extraordinary approaches to address it. This research focuses on the issue of justice in corruption cases, particularly for perpetrators who have returned misappropriated assets. Many suspects or defendants have returned such assets but still face criminal punishment, even though their involvement may have been limited to an accessory role rather than that of a principal actor. This situation highlights the need for a legal justice principle that provides adequate protection. In Islamic law, the imposition of compensation payments in corruption crimes is referred to as ‘Uqubah Taba’iyah, a form of ta'zir punishment involving property. This punishment must be proportional to the amount embezzled and paid to the authorized authorities. The payment of compensation is classified as an additional criminal sanction that may be imposed on perpetrators of corruption. This study aims to examine and understand the concept of punishment in corruption cases in the context of asset recovery, legal justice, and equitable legal systems, as well as how Islamic justice offers legal protection to those who return stolen assets in the formation of a fair legal system in Indonesia. To identify and analyze the issues, this research employs critical academic thinking, conceptual approaches, statutory analysis, case studies, and comparative legal methods. The findings reveal that in several rulings—particularly at the Corruption Court of the Palembang District Court—judges have imposed criminal sanctions on individuals who had already returned state losses. This is due to limitations in current regulations, which state that returning state losses does not exempt one from criminal liability. The imposition of compensation payments on corruption offenders is based on the financial or economic harm caused to the state, with the amount required to be paid being equivalent to the gains obtained from the corruption. Under Islamic criminal law, compensation payments are considered a form of additional punishment (‘Uqubah Taba’iyah) that follows the primary ruling without requiring a separate judgment. Such payments are categorized as ta’zir punishments in the form of property, and offenders are obligated to return any assets obtained through corruption once a legal ruling has been issued by a judge.

The process settling of the different perceptions that lead to dispute is very disruptive to the construction activities. Thus the election of dispute resolution must be observed specifically to obtain maximum results. Dispute council and arbitration council are the choice where disagreement that lead dispute must be resolved. Settlement prioritizes values that uphold good relationships, legal certainty and certainty of project sustainability. The assessment between the owner and the contractor is different, besides they prioritize the legal certainty of a dispute, evidently they have their own respective interests, the owner priority is the sustainability of the project to be achieved amid a dispute, in order to keep the business opportunity in the next project. This can be well accommodated by the dispute council by referring to the Fidic Conditions of Contracts. With a sample of 100 respondents in which 47% of Owners and Consultants, 53% of Contractors, they tend to prefer the Dispute Council as a way to resolve construction disputes. The result is 53.7% of the owner and the contractor chooses the dispute councils by prioritizing legal certainty, the sustainability of the project and good relations, while the remaining 29.6% chose Arbitration.
