This study aims to analyze the influence and relationship between slope slope and soil physical properties on oil palm land in Sosopan, Ulu Barumun, and Barumun Districts, Padang Lawas Regency. The method used was a survey with purposive sampling on three slope classes: sloping (0–15%), steep (16–30%), and very steep (31–45%). The parameters observed included soil texture, pH, C-organic, as well as macronutrients (N, P, K). These findings confirm that slope slope is complexly related to soil properties and plays a role in determining oil palm land conservation strategies.

Abaca bananas are a strategic fiber commodity with high economic value, but farmers' incomes are still influenced by various production and market factors. This study aims to analyze the effect of production, technology, and selling price on the income of abaca banana farmers in Essang Village. An explanatory research method was used with data collection through questionnaires and interviews, then analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that production and selling price have a significant effect on farmers' income, while technology has not had a significant effect despite being positively evaluated by farmers. This condition indicates that increasing production capacity and price stability are the main factors in improving farmers' welfare. This study emphasizes the need for strategies to strengthen production, modernize technology, and support the market for the sustainable development of abaca bananas.

This article employs an integrated statistical approach to analyze production determinants and the comparative economic contributions of leading plantation commodities in South Tapanuli Regency (2014-2023). Multiple linear regression indicates that coffee (p=0.033) and cocoa prices (p=0.027) exert a significant positive influence on production, whereas land area demonstrates no significant effect. ANOVA results (F=11.048; p=0.000) reveal statistically significant disparities in contributions to the Regional Gross Domestic Product. Palm oil provides the highest mean contribution (4.66%), which differs significantly from rubber, coffee, and cocoa. No significant difference exists among the latter three commodities. Consequently, this integrated analysis furnishes a robust foundation for policy formulation: implementing price incentives is more efficacious than land expansion for coffee and cocoa development; palm oil necessitates sustainability-focused strategies; and rubber, coffee, and cocoa require product diversification to augment their value-added potential.

This study aims to develop and evaluate an integrated framework combining COBIT 2019 and ISO/IEC 27001 to enhance IT governance and information security management. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach, the research involved document analysis, expert interviews, and a case-based validation within a government institution. The integration process consisted of three phases: mapping, harmonization, and synthesis, which resulted in the development of the Integrated IT Governance and Security Framework (IGSF). The findings reveal a high degree of alignment between COBIT 2019’s governance domains and ISO/IEC 27001’s security control structures, forming a unified model that strengthens strategic alignment, risk management, and compliance. Expert validation confirmed that the IGSF facilitates better communication between governance and security teams, reduces redundancy, and enhances operational efficiency. The practical case study demonstrated improved coordination, documentation, and audit readiness following implementation. This study contributes to IT governance and information security literature by presenting a structured, adaptable framework that organizations can adopt to achieve both governance excellence and security resilience. The results also suggest potential for future quantitative evaluation to measure the impact of this integration on organizational performance and compliance outcomes.

This study aims to improve student’s mathematical problem solving skills through the implemantion of Kolb’s learning style in class X TBSM @ at SMK Negeri 1 Siabu, focusing on the topic of sequences and series. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 20 students from class X. Data were collected through problem-solving tests, student and teacher activity observations, and analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. The results showed an improvement in students’ problem-solving abilities from 55% (categorized as low) in the first cycle to 85% (categorized as good) in the second cycle. Observations also indicated increased student and teacher engagement and improvement in instructional quality. The implementation of Kolb’s learning style proved effective in helping students grasp mathematical concepts and problem-solving strategies. This research recommends the use of Kolb’s learning model as an alternative teaching approach to enhance students' critical thinking and learning outcomes in mathematics.

This study aims to analyze the contribution of communication and the principles of Islamic law (maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah) in efforts to increase community economic independence, identify factors that influence multisectoral communication in stunting prevention, and explore the relationship between economic independence and stunting prevention. The locus of this research is Mandailing Natal Regency and Padangsidimpuan City, two areas in North Sumatra with high stunting rates. Maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah, which emphasizes the protection of religion, life, mind, descendants, and property, can provide a new approach to reducing stunting through increasing economic independence. A qualitative approach was used in this study, using the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method to explore the views of the community and stakeholders. Increased economic independence contributes significantly to improving the nutritional status and health of children. Economic independence allows better access to nutritious food and health services, and increases parental knowledge about nutrition. Economic empowerment programs that focus on women can improve their social and economic status, which has a positive impact on childcare. Furthermore, greater economic independence improves families' ability to pay for health services and invest in children's education. The results of the study indicate that the synergy between communication activities and emphasizing the values of Islamic law (maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah) in efforts to increase economic independence can contribute to reducing stunting rates. The application of communication principles and the maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah (Islamic principles) in economic empowerment programs focuses not only on stunting reduction but also on improving overall community welfare. Therefore, this research is expected to provide new insights into the importance of a holistic approach to stunting prevention that involves various sectors and sharia values.

In distance learning, this is a new thing for physics learning methods in schools, especially being a challenge for educators. Online and face-to-face learning takes turns creating a new atmosphere in the learning process. There were many obstacles during its implementation. The school also provides several alternatives in dealing with obstacles experienced in the learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is entitled Analysis of Constraints and Alternatives to Physics Learning During the Covid-19 Pandemic Period at SMP Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan with the aim of knowing the obstacles experienced and the alternatives provided in helping the learning process of physics at SMP Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan. The approach that the author uses in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach, this is obtained from an incident that occurs in the surrounding environment so as to produce the necessary information. From the results of the analysis, it was concluded that the obstacles experienced by teachers, both online and face-to-face learning, were the difficulty of knowing the level of understanding of each student, determining the right learning model during the COVID-19 pandemic, and lack of understanding in the use of technology. Students find it difficult to learn independently and do not understand the material given because it is only limited to theory. Schools find it difficult to determine appropriate actions for the learning process, and provide distance learning facilities on a regular basis. In dealing with these obstacles, several alternatives are given, namely, schools provide permission to conduct online learning activities, provide facilities in the form of internet quotas, send pdf and video books related to physics subject matter and conduct discussions among teachers in introducing technology. At face-to-face meetings, the school determines the learning schedule by taking turns, following the health protocol.
