Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in regional economic growth and employment, yet many face limitations in both market expansion and long-term business sustainability. The rapid development of digital technology offers new opportunities through digital marketing, although many practices remain generic and overlook local cultural values. This study examines the effect of integrating digital marketing and local wisdom on MSME performance in North Sumatra Province using a quantitative approach with a survey design. Quantitative data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling. The sample included MSMEs in locally rooted sectors such as culinary and handicrafts that actively use digital media. The results indicate that digital marketing and local wisdom both have positive and significant effects on enterprise performance, and that both factors together significantly explain the variance in sales growth, market reach, and business sustainability. This study contributes by proposing a culture-based digital marketing model for MSMEs and offers practical implications for entrepreneurs and policymakers to integrate digital capabilities with local cultural storytelling in the digital economy era.

Abstract The application of agroforestry is one of the land management systems. If development activities and their outcomes do not align with the intended management goals for land resources, problems will arise, causing confusion and frustration. That can be illustrated with a profile of the land. The objectives of the research are (1) agroforestry patterns applied by the community; (2) types of plants selected for planting; (3) visual data on the agroforestry plantings applied The method used was interviewed 30 landowners of agroforestry and survey the land, then analyzed the data using SEXL-FS software. The result from this research was agroforestry farmers in Pardomuan Village predominantly use agrosilviculture systems and plant corn on their land. In the past, some farmers planted oranges but were affected by pests, causing losses for the farmers, which is why they switched to planting corn. The types of crops on the farmers’ land include: red chili, coffee, bananas, cocoa, avocados, candlenuts, petai, and some other crops that have been present since they began cultivating their land. The visual data of the agroforestry pattern of respondent’s land shows that land management is not yet optimal.

This study aims to determine the presence of rhinoceros hornbills and their potential food trees in the Pondok Buluh Training Forest (KHDTK). Data collection on the presence of hornbill species was carried out using a concentrated point method determined by field observations. Observations were conducted at six observation locations along the rhinoceros hornbill's daily movement path. Observations were conducted at time intervals between 07.00-09.00 WIB (morning), 11.00-13.00 WIB (afternoon) and 15.00-17.00 WIB (evening), where these times are when rhinoceros hornbills are actively foraging and resting, so the opportunity for observation is greater. The data collected were encounter time, number of individuals, type of encounter (visual/audio) and encounter location. Data collection for potential food trees was carried out using the Species Area Curve Method with vegetation analysis. The parameters measured were species name (local and scientific), number of individuals, tree diameter at breast height and tree height. The vegetation analysis method used was the Species Area Curve Method.
