In the weeding process, farmers still use the conventional method of swinging the sickle horizontally over the weed-covered soil repeatedly until the weed stems are cut and flush with the ground. This process can lead to rapid fatigue, especially in the musculoskeletal system or skeletal muscles. When weeding, the average farmer's back bends at a 90-degree angle while repeatedly pulling out weeds. In designing this machine, an anthropometric approach is used to determine the ergonomic design of the weed mower that provides worker comfort. Anthropometry is the study of human body dimensions and their application in design, including physical geometry, mass, strength, and body characteristics such as shape and size. Humans vary in shape, size, height, and weight. The sample size is 23 workers. Based on the research conducted on the weed, the researchers proposed an ergonomic weed-weeding machine design based on an anthropometric approach. The anthropometric measurements obtained are the height of the weed-weeding machine is 120.7 cm, the width range of the weed-weeding machine is 46.8 cm, and the depth range of the weed-weeding machine is 42.0 cm, using the results of the 50th percentile. The design of this weed-weeding machine is expected to have practical implications, including increased comfort and work efficiency for farmers, which in turn can speed up the weeding process and increase rice productivity. This design is also expected to encourage innovation in the field of work system design and ergonomics.

Flood risk prediction is a crucial step in disaster mitigation. This study optimizes the Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) algorithm using the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) method to improve prediction accuracy. The process includes data cleaning, normalization, and classification of risk levels into low, medium, and high. The XGBoost model is trained both before and after parameter optimization of n_estimators, max_depth, and learning_rate. Before optimization, the model achieved 93% accuracy but struggled to identify minority classes. After optimization with PSO, accuracy increased to 97%, with the recall for the low-risk class improving from 21% to 57%. The optimized model also demonstrated more stable performance compared to Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Random Forest. These findings indicate that the combination of XGBoost and PSO can provide more accurate and efficient flood risk predictions.

This study aimed to develop and evaluate a chitosan-based smart film incorporating anthocyanins extracted from red onion peel (Allium cepa L.) using a green extraction method for visual detection of chicken meat freshness. Anthocyanins were extracted via maceration using Deep Eutectic Solvent (DES) and 96% ethanol. DES extraction, recognized as an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional solvents, yielded approximately 35% higher anthocyanin content than ethanol. The smart films were prepared from chitosan, corn starch, and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) at three PVA-to-anthocyanin ratios (1:1, 1:2, and 1:3) and tested on chicken meat stored at room temperature (5 days) and under refrigeration (10 days). Physical (thickness, tensile strength), chemical (moisture content, pH), and sensory (color, aroma, texture) analyses were conducted. Higher PVA concentrations improved film thickness and tensile strength, while chilled storage significantly reduced spoilage rates, indicated by lower pH and moisture values. Notably, the film exhibited a clear color transition from purple to greenish-yellow in response to pH changes associated with meat degradation, confirming its effectiveness as a pH-sensitive freshness indicator. The 1:3 PVA–anthocyanin formulation demonstrated optimal stability, responsiveness, and visual clarity. In conclusion, the developed chitosan-based smart film offers a sustainable, non-toxic, and efficient approach for monitoring chicken meat freshness, underscoring its potential as an eco-friendly intelligent packaging solution for ensuring food safety and quality.

This study aims to examine the effects of applying gamification in learning Arabic and English on student motivation and learning outcomes at MTs Negeri 1 Ponorogo and MAN 2 Ponorogo. Gamification involves incorporating game elements into non-game contexts, applied here to language learning. The research utilizes an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design to assess the effectiveness of gamification. The participants are students from MTs Negeri 1 Ponorogo and MAN 2 Ponorogo, divided into two groups: an experimental group that uses gamification and a control group that follows traditional learning methods. Data collection was carried out using learning motivation questionnaires and language proficiency tests. The findings reveal that the group employing gamification showed a significant improvement in motivation and learning outcomes compared to the control group. These results suggest that gamification can be a potent tool for boosting motivation and learning outcomes in Arabic and English, indicating that educators should consider incorporating game elements into their teaching methods.

This study presents a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) on communication strategy education with a cultural perspective through the co-culture communication approach. The review aims to synthesize theoretical foundations, pedagogical models, and empirical findings to better understand how cultural perspectives inform communication strategy education. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework guided the search and selection process. Articles published between 2010 and 2025 were retrieved from Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar using keywords related to communication strategy, co-culture communication, and intercultural competence. Through screening of 274 articles and the use of inclusion and exclusion criteria, the analysis included 42 peer-reviewed studies. Thematic synthesis identified four key findings: (1) the addition of a cultural perspective improves education for communication strategy through the development of critical cultural awareness; (2) co-culture pedagogies for communication focus on inclusivity and the voice of the marginal; (3) intercultural competence is a significant product of education; and (4) digital innovations facilitate the wider applicability of co-culture perspectives within higher education. This systematic review acknowledges the deficiencies within empirical evidence, especially within the non-Western world, and calls for longitudinal studies and investigations into digital pedagogies. The results contribute insightful information for teachers, policymakers, and researchers who aim to engage culture perspectives within the education of communication strategy for the achievement of equity, inclusivity, and intercultural competence.
