Mục tiêu: Đánh giá kết quả phẫu thuật điều trị ung thư biểu mô da dài tại Bệnh viện Đa khoa tỉnh Vĩnh Phúc. Phương pháp: Nghiên cứu mô tả cắt ngang trên 130 người bệnh ung thư biểu mô dạ dày được phẫu thuật trong giai đoạn 01/2023–9/2025 tại Bệnh viện Đa khoa Vĩnh Phúc. Kết quả: Nghiên cứu trên 130 người bệnh cho thấy: vị trí hang-mô vi thường gặp nhất 45,2%; các dạng tổn thương chủ yếu là loét sùi (52,2%) và tổn thương đơn ổ (97,4%). Kích thước U trung bình là 39,01 ± 17,90 mm. Thể mô bệnh học chủ yếu là biệt hóa kém (32,2%) và vừa (46,1%). 88,5% bệnh nhân được nạo hạch, 65,2% bệnh nhân có di căn và 80% được phẫu thuật triệt căn. Thời gian mổ trung bình của toàn bộ mẫu là 211,04 ± 55,18 phút, với khoảng dao động rộng 58–285 phút, thời gian nằm viện trung bình 19,66 ± 5,61 ngày. Có 31 NB gặp tai biến – biến chứng (23,8%), 1 NB tử vong sau mổ (0,8%). Tỉ lệ dùng hoá chất sau mổ là 50,0%. Khi phân tích theo mục tiêu phẫu thuật, nhóm triệt căn có 51,9% điều trị bổ trợ phù hợp vai trò hoá chất kiểm soát hệ thống, còn nhóm giảm nhẹ 20,0% lựa chọn cá thể hoá. Kết luận: Phẫu thuật triệt căn ung thư biểu mô dạ dày có kết quả khá tốt, phù hợp với mục tiêu triệt căn.

Bitter gourd (Momordica charantia), a nutritionally and medicinally important crop, is widely cultivated but faces challenges such as inconsistent yields and environmental stress. Magnetic fields (MFs) have emerged as a promising, non-invasive approach to enhance plant growth and development by influencing key physiological processes. This study evaluated the effects of a 150 mT MF on bitter gourd growth during germination, vegetative emergence, the cotyledon stage, and V1 - V5 vegetative stages by measuring germination rate, germination index, plant height, root length, fresh weight of roots and shoots, chlorophyll content, and leaf area. Results showed that MF-treated seeds achieved a 100% germination rate at 84 hours, compared to 90.25% in the control group, with a consistently higher germination index. During vegetative stages, particularly from V1 to V5, MF-treated plants exhibited slight increases in plant height, root length, and biomass; however, most of these improvements were not statistically significant. These findings suggest that while exposure to a 150 mT MF can significantly improve early-stage germination in bitter gourd, its impact on later vegetative development remains limited and warrants further investigation and optimization. This study builds upon a growing body of research demonstrating the potential of MFs to enhance crop traits, such as germination rate, root elongation, biomass accumulation, and stress tolerance in crops. The results provide a species-specific foundation for advancing the application of MF technology in precision agriculture and crop improvement strategies.

Nghiên cứu nhằm tổng hợp các thành phần trong dược mỹ phẩm phù hợp, không phù hợp đối với người có kiểu da dầu. Phương pháp nghiên cứu được sử dụng là phân tích tổng hợp các tài liệu được tìm kiếm qua các hệ thống thư viện khoa học bao gồm: Ovid, PubMed, Medline, Google Scholar bằng các từ khóa “oily skin”, “salicylic acid”, “foaming cleansers”, “retinoids”, “vitamin A”, “polymers”, “oils”, “comedogenic ingredients”, “silicone”. Kết quả cho thấy hầu hết các nghiên cứu đưa vào phân tích đều có chất lượng cao, và nghiên cứu của chúng tôi cung cấp bằng chứng cho người có kiểu da dầu lựa chọn các sản phẩm dược mỹ phẩm phù hợp, từ đó nâng cao hiệu quả chăm sóc da, cải thiện chất lượng cuộc sống. Các thành phần phù hợp với kiểu da dầu bao gồm: salicylic acid, sữa rửa mặt tạo bọt, retinoids/vitamin A, polymers (hệ thống bẫy/đóng gói polymeric).

This paper introduces the MPPT control method to help PV solar cells reach the maximum capacity thanks to the adaptive ANFIS P&O MPPT algorithm. The power from the PV source through the traditional PI-controlled boost converter has a working point that always follows the MPPT point. Thanks to the ANFIS P&O MPPT algorithm that allows adaptive correction of the perturbation step, the power can quickly reach a new maximum value when the ambient temperature and illuminance fluctuate. The new algorithm also eliminates oscillation around the MPPT’s entire operating point and improves the output voltage quality of the boost converter. The advantage of the adaptive ANFIS P&O MPPT algorithm is confirmed by simulation on MATLAB with a 3.5kW, 100V of the PV system. According to simulation findings, the suggested ANFIS-based MPPT can consistently and efficiently monitor the maximum power point of PV modules under various weather circumstances.

ABSTRACTComputer-aided diagnosis systems in adult chest radiography (CXR) have recently achieved great success thanks to the availability of large-scale, annotated datasets and the advent of high-performance supervised learning algorithms. However, the development of diagnostic models for detecting and diagnosing pediatric diseases in CXR scans is undertaken due to the lack of high-quality physician-annotated datasets. To overcome this challenge, we introduce and release VinDr-PCXR, a new pediatric CXR dataset of 9,125 studies retrospectively collected from a major pediatric hospital in Vietnam between 2020 and 2021. Each scan was manually annotated by a pediatric radiologist who has more than ten years of experience. The dataset was labeled for the presence of 36 critical findings and 15 diseases. In particular, each abnormal finding was identified via a rectangle bounding box on the image. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first and largest pediatric CXR dataset containing lesion-level annotations and image-level labels for the detection of multiple findings and diseases. For algorithm development, the dataset was divided into a training set of 7,728 and a test set of 1,397. To encourage new advances in pediatric CXR interpretation using data-driven approaches, we provide a detailed description of the VinDr-PCXR data sample and make the dataset publicly available on https://physionet.org/.

Type 2 diabetes (T2DM) epidemic is rising in Vietnam. Identifying associated factors with glycaemic control in patients with T2DM is vital to improve treatment outcomes. This study is aimed at examining the uncontrolled glycaemic level of patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) at an urban hospital in Hanoi, Vietnam, and determining associated factors. An observational longitudinal cohort survey was performed among T2DM patients. Glycaemic control was evaluated by using the HbA1c level ≥ 6.5% or fasting blood glucose level ≥ 7.5 g/mmol. Information about sociodemographic, clinical, and behavioral characteristics was collected. Multivariate mixed-effects logistic regression was employed to identify associated factors with control glycaemic level conditions. Among 189 T2DM patients, 70.4% had an uncontrolled glycaemic level. A higher number of comorbidities were associated with a lower likelihood of having uncontrolled glycaemic levels (OR = 0.71, p < 0.001, 95%CI = 0.52 − 0.98). Meanwhile, a higher body mass index (OR = 1.15, p < 0.05, 95%CI = 1.02 − 1.29), higher initial HbA1C (OR = 3.75, p < 0.01, 95%CI = 2.59 − 5.44), and higher initial fasting blood glucose levels (OR = 1.57, p < 0.01, 95%CI = 1.29 − 1.90) were positively associated with a higher risk of uncontrolled glycaemic levels. This study reveals that poor glycaemic control was common among T2DM patients in the urban hospital in Vietnam. Findings underlined the need for appropriate management strategies to control glycaemic levels and weight in this population.

BACKGROUND:The fungal disease caused by invasive fungus Saprochaete capitata is becoming an increasingly popular infection. Fungal pathogens mainly occur in patients with immunocompromised disorders such as hematologic malignancies, acute myeloid leukemia, transplant patients.CASE REPORT:In this study, we presented a COPD patient infected with S. capitata. At the first check, the patient showed cough, dyspnea, chest pain on both sides. The clinical laboratory test result was characterized with high White blood cell (12.8 G/L), HIV negative. The X ray showed bronchitis and emphysema. Bronchoscopy illustrated bronchial mucositis. CT scanner demonstrated pneumonia with fuzzy nodular lesions and thick interstitial organization in both lungs. The patient was treated with ciprofloxacin 800 mg/day; cefuroxime 2250 mmg/day. However, the fever appeared 2 weeks thereafter. The S. capitata was discovered in the bronchial fluid. The patient was then treated with fluconazole 400 mg/day for 14 days. At the end of treatment, all signs and symptoms of S. capitata infection disappeared and the patient recovered.CONCLUSION:This case study showed that S. capitata infection can occur in the COPD patients and fluconazole is a pertinent drug for treatment of the infection.

The genus Hylomus Cook & Loomis, 1924 is reviewed from Vietnam, with 13 recorded species. Of these, three are described as new, H. songoku sp. nov. from Xuan Son National Park, H. namek sp. nov. from Cuc Phuong National Park, and H. saiyans sp. nov. from Vinh Phuc and Ha Giang Provinces. The new species, H. songoku sp. nov., is distinguished by gonopod solenophore with rounded lobuliform lamina medialis, and well-developed lamina lateralis with a densely setose area; tip of gonopod tuberculiform. H. namek sp. nov. is separated from its congeners by its gonopod femorite being short, parallel-sided, slightly constricted at the middle; tip of gonopod rounded; and lastly, H. saiyans sp. nov. is diagnosable by its gonopod femorite being long and enlarged distally, postfemoral region short, tip bilobuled. The relationship among Hylomus species from Vietnam was analyzed using a fragment of the 16S rRNA mitochondrial gene. The analysis supports the monophyly of the genus Hylomus. It is recommended that more Hylomus species be added in the analysis to better clarify the phylogenetic relationships in the genus.

General formula for symmetry factors (S-factor) of Feynman diagrams containing fields with high spins is derived. We prove that symmetry factors of Feynman diagrams of well-known theories do not depend on spins of fields. In contributions to S-factors, self-conjugate fields and non self-conjugate fields play the same roles as real scalar fields and complex scalar fields, respectively. Thus, the formula of S-factors for scalar theories --- theories include only real and complex scalar fields --- works on all well-known theories of fields with high spins.Two interesting consequences deduced from our result are : (i) S-factors of all external connected diagrams consisting of only vertices with three different fields, e.g., spinor QED, are equal to unity; (ii) some diagrams with different topologies can contribute the same factor, leading to the result that the inverse S-factor for the total contribution is the sum of inverse S-factors, i.e., 1/S = \sum_i (1/S_i).
