Specific searching images (Tinbergen, 1960) are sometimes adopted by predators hunting for their prey (Croze, 1970; Popham, 1941; Manley et al., 1972). Consequently the predator over-eats those species, or morphs in a visually polymorphic species, which occur at higher relative frequencies than others.
