Multi-Objective Optimization of Material Removal Characteristics for Robot Polishing of Ti-6Al-4V.
This study employs a multi-objective particle swarm optimization (MOPSO) algorithm to address the dual-objective challenge in the robotic polishing of Ti-6Al-4V. The aim is to determine optimal parameters that minimize surface roughness while maximizing the material removal rate (MRR), thereby improving both surface quality and processing efficiency. First, a material removal depth model for end-face polishing is established based on Preston's equation and theoretical analysis, from which the MRR model is derived. Subsequently, orthogonal experiments are conducted to investigate the influence of process parameters and their interactions on surface roughness, followed by the development of a quadratic polynomial roughness prediction model. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) and model validation confirm the model's reliability. Finally, the MOPSO algorithm is applied to obtain the Pareto optimal solution set, yielding the optimal parameter combination. Experimental results demonstrate that at a normal contact force of 7.58 N, a feed rate of 4.52 mm/s, and a spindle speed of 5851 rpm, the achieved MRR and Ra values are 0.2197 mm3/s and 0.291 μm, respectively. These results exhibit errors of only 5.64% and 2.65% compared to model predictions, validating the proposed method's effectiveness.

The Influence of Surface Treatment of Mold Materials on the Service Life of Low-Voltage Electrical Component Molds and Green Manufacturing Strategies
This article examines the influence of mold material surface treatments on the service life of molds used for low-voltage electrical components, with an emphasis on green manufacturing strategies. The properties of commonly used mold materials are analyzed, and advanced surface treatment technologies, such as physical vapor deposition (PVD) coatings, are introduced. The relationship between microstructural characteristics and service performance is investigated, along with the effects of surface treatments on tribological behavior and failure mechanisms. In addition, green manufacturing approaches, including low-temperature plasma treatment process optimization and chromium-free passivation technologies, are discussed. The study highlights the critical role of intelligent technologies in advancing sustainable mold manufacturing and outlines future development directions.

The behavioral and health issues of children and adolescents have become one of the most significant public health challenges with global concern. A cohort study is an ideal approach for exploring the relevant factors associated with these issues and evaluating the possible effectiveness of interventions among children and adolescents. Thus, from September 2024 to January 2025, we selected 6 counties in Zhejiang Province to establish the Zhejiang Childhood Behavior and Health Cohort, aiming to explore the changing patterns, relevant factors, and long-term health effects of behavior and health issues among children and adolescents. This study will introduce the cohort design and conduct descriptive analyses on the main characteristics of participants in the baseline survey. Overall, 21 698 participants aged 6-19 years (mean age, 11.6 years) were recruited, comprising 53.2% males and 68.4% from rural areas. The proportion of ever smoking was 3.6% in males and 2.0% in females. 75.9% of males and 73.3% of females were trying to control their weight. The mean height, weight, and waist circumference of males was (152.8±18.7) cm, (47.0±18.2) kg and (66.6±12.0) cm, respectively, and of females was (148.8±15.7) cm, (42.2±14.2) kg and (62.3±9.4) cm, respectively. The result for the 50-meter dash was 8.8 s in males and 9.4 s in females.
Read moreEffects of Lysolecithin on Growth Performance, Nutrient Digestibility, Serum Biochemical Indices, and Rumen Environment in Holstein Calves
ABSTRACTThis study was to evaluate the effects of lysolecithin on the growth performance, serum biochemical indices, and rumen environment of Holstein calves. A total of 26 calves were divided into a control group with a basal diet (CON) and a treatment group that added 5 g/d lysolecithin (LY). Compared to the CON, the proportion of feces in the middle sieve was higher, and the proportion of the bottom sieve was lower in the LY (p < 0.05). Serum biochemical parameters indicated that the LY had higher albumin, total antioxidant capacity, and total cholesterol, whereas non‐esterified fatty acid, blood urea nitrogen, and triglyceride were lower than the CON (p < 0.05). The NH3‐N of rumen fluid in the LY was lower than that of the CON (p < 0.05). The rumen fluid percentage of butyrate, iso‐butyrate, valerate, and iso‐valerate in the LY was higher than in the CON (p < 0.05), with a tendency for lower propionate compared to the CON (p < 0.10). In the rumen microorganism, the abundance of Ruminococcus in the LY was higher than in the CON (p < 0.05). Mantel test indicated that the percentage of acetate was found significantly positively correlated with Candidatus_Saccharimonas, whereas propionate exhibited positive correlations with Ruminococcus_gauvreauii_group, Candidatus_Saccharimonas, and unclassified Lachnospiraceae (p < 0.05). Additionally, the NK4A214_group showed a significant positive correlation with the acetate/propionate, and the concentration of iso‐valerate was positively correlated with norank_f__norank_o__Clostridia_UCG‐014 (p < 0.05). In summary, dietary lysolecithin supplementation could positively influence the rumen microbial community, enhance rumen fermentation, and improve antioxidant ability, without affecting growth performance in Holstein calves.
Read moreAssociation of sodium-glucose linked transporter 2 inhibitors with functional outcomes at discharge in diabetic patients with acute ischemic stroke
To investigate the association between the use of sodium-glucose linked transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors and functional outcomes at discharge in diabetic patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS). A retrospective cohort study was conducted using data from the Acute Stroke Patients for Stroke Management Quality Evaluation online database (CASE-Ⅱ, NCT04487340) for patients admitted between January 2022 and November 2024. Diabetic patients with AIS were categorized as SGLT2 inhibitor users or non-users (control group). Patients' functional outcomes were assessed using the modified Rankin Scale (mRS) score. Propensity score matching (PSM) was performed in a 1∶2 ratio. Multivariate logistic regression models were used to assess the association between SGLT2 inhibitor use and outcomes. Stratified analyses were performed based on pre-existing diabetes versus newly diagnosed diabetes during the hospitalization and the impact of long-term and short-term use of SGLT2 inhibitors on patients' functional outcomes at discharge was analyzed. The study included 9220 patients (mean age 67±11 years; 39.38% female), of whom 1915 (20.77%) were SGLT2 inhibitor users. There were 1912 cases in the user group and 3683 cases in the non-user group after PSM. Before PSM, the proportion of patients with an mRS score 0-2 at discharge was significantly higher in the SGLT2 inhibitor group than that in the control group (79.84% vs. 69.19%, P<0.01). After multivariable adjustment, SGLT2 inhibitor use remained significantly associated with higher proportion of mRS score 0-2 (adjusted OR=1.24, 95%CI: 1.08-1.42, P<0.01) and mRS score 0-3 (adjusted OR=1.62, 95%CI: 1.32-1.99, P<0.01) at discharge. Results were consistent after PSM. In stratified analyses, SGLT2 inhibitor use was associated with improved functional outcomes in both patients with pre-existing diabetes and those with newly diagnosed diabetes. Among diabetic patients with AIS, SGLT2 inhibitor use is independently associated with better functional outcomes at discharge, showing a potential benefit for short-term neurological recovery.
