ZS-Handling (Germany)

Abstract It is especially appropriate to consider the status of material handling at this time, as 1994 marks the 75th Anniversary of the founding of the Material Handling Engineering Division of the ASME. However, seventy-five years is a not a long time when viewed from a historical perspective, as a umber of the papers in this volume point out. Still, those of us actively engaged in research, development, and application owe a great debt to those who have gone before.
