Abstract

The article examines the key criminological concept of the criminal's personality, defines the essential characteristics and their impact on criminal behavior, taking into account the current criminogenic situation. It is proved that the identity of a criminal who commits violent assaults against employees of a place of deprivation of liberty or detention can be considered as a special case of the identity of a repeat offender. The classifications, types and types of criminals who commit socially dangerous acts in places of deprivation of liberty are analyzed. The author's typology is proposed, which is based on the motivational criterion, the position of a person in the criminal hierarchy in places of deprivation of liberty or detention, as well as the voluntary nature of the commission of a crime or coercion to it.
