The article is devoted to highlighting the theoretical foundations of the formation of managerial competence of future physical culture specialists in higher education institutions in the conditions of blended learning. The analysis of scientific works devoted to the formation of managerial competence of future physical culture specialists indicates that this problem has not been sufficiently studied both in theoretical and methodological aspects. It is noted that scientists have considered various aspects of professional competence and culture of future physical culture specialists, the problem of the formation of managerial competence. The concepts of competence, competence, professional competence, managerial competence, managerial competence of physical culture specialists are studied, and the current state of their formation is also clarified. It is established that the managerial competence of a future physical culture specialist is a set of competencies that cover the system of knowledge of the basics of management theory. In order for a specialist not only to have managerial competence, but also to be able to apply it in his professional activity, it is necessary to ensure the expansion of the boundaries of professional training in the field of physical culture specialists, based on advanced approaches in training and new educational standards. It is proved that the future professional activity of physical culture specialists, and in fact, managerial competence, implies that it must be formed during professional training, which will allow more effectively using creative and intellectual potential in current market conditions, performing professional functions against the background of a high level of business and personal qualities, in managing processes and people. The author emphasizes that the development of the field of physical culture in modern market conditions is impossible without professionally trained, competent managers of physical culture specialists. It has been established that the formation of managerial competence of a future physical education specialist in the process of professional training should be based on universal human values, a comprehensive competency-based approach and professional competence of the future specialist, necessary when working in a blended learning environment
