Functional framework construction of blockchain technology in the information management of college students’ ideological and political education in colleges and universities
Currently, ideological and political education faces three major pain points: mismatch of information supply and demand, obstacles to resource sharing, and lack of trust between the subject and object of education. Based on this, this study applies blockchain technology to the informatization management of college students’ ideological and political education in colleges and universities and designs the functional framework and main functional modules of the informatization management platform of college and university ideological and political education. Teachers and students of a regional university are selected as the research samples, and after analyzing the application of the platform by teachers and students of the university, we construct the evaluation indexes of the platform’s system structure and system function and use the DBN model to evaluate the application effect of the platform. The results show that after the use of the Civic and Political Education Informatization Management Platform, the sample teachers and students have a better knowledge and use of it, and 65.8% of the teachers and students have a higher frequency of use. The ideological and political education informatization management platform obtains a better application effect, with evaluation scores of 75.3 and 85.7 for its system structure and system functions, and it obtains excellent performance in the quality and organization of teaching resources, the construction and sharing of high-quality teaching resources, and the improvement of management efficiency. The organic combination of blockchain technology and ideological and political education in colleges and universities can improve the level of ideological and political education and promote innovation and optimization of the education model.

The social phenomenon of university students learning agriculture rather than pursuing it, understanding agriculture rather than choosing agriculture, is a major challenge for the sustainable development of agricultural talents in China. This research paper investigates the impact and mechanism of practical education in agricultural schools on students’ intention to start agricultural businesses using OLS, Probit, and mediation effect models. Data from a survey of 1612 Chinese students from Sichuan Agricultural University, Nanjing Agricultural University and other 6 agricultural universities was analyzed, with instrumental variable probit model (IV-Probit) utilized to tackle endogeneity issues. The results showed that (1) The implementation of rural social practice, volunteer service, entrepreneurship competition, and agricultural labor education by universities can significantly boost university students’ interest in starting their agricultural businesses. Additionally, for every additional type of practical education students receive, they are 11.0% more likely to want to start business in agriculture. (2) Practical education will affect individual entrepreneurial effectiveness perception, including economic benefit perception, social status perception and professional value perception. Among these, the mediating effect of professional value perception is the strongest, with a ratio of 16.1%. (3) The results suggest that entrepreneurship support policy play a role in moderating the connection between individuals’ economic benefit, social status perceptions and their intentions. (4) The intentions of university students to start agricultural businesses are significantly correlated with their control variables, including major selection, students cadre experience, agricultural cognition, household registration, and family members’ occupation. Therefore, it is suggested that there should be a focus on enhancing practical education in agricultural universities, fostering students’ confidence in agricultural entrepreneurship, and optimizing sustainable policy support for university students’ entrepreneurial endeavors.

Digital security in the modern world is one of the leading practical and theoretical trends. Many practitioners and theorists are working to improve digital security, usually completely ignoring the costs of this process, which is very necessary, but not as univocal as it is presented to the state and transnational corporations (TNCs) sponsoring the research. The purpose of the study is to analyze the socio-psychological aspects of the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in managing university and school education. Research methodology and techniques. The paper presents the theoretical analysis of the problem of the socio-psychological dangers of using ICT in managing higher education and school education; it also summarizes the included and non-included observations over the processes and results of the implementation of the point-rating system and the use of ICT in university education. The results of the study. The systems «Virtual school» and «Virtual university», developed and implemented in order to optimize managing processes and increase the accessibility of education in schools and universities, face serious socio-psychological, managerial and legal problems. One of the main problems is the problem of sporadic or systemic violation of personal and organizational security. This problem arose not only because there is no culture of relationships in the digital environment. It arose because moral, conventional- ritual and legal normsб both in the real and in the «virtual» world, ceased to be real regulators of relations. The real regulators in this environment are the norms of the community that modifies all aspects of its existence. Teachers, administrations, the state face a really complicated challenge, which is to restore Russian education as the best education in the world, restore it as a sphere of culture, not business, re-orientate education to develop individual and culture, and not serve even the best «direct»needs of production and economics. However, morally meaningful and based on moral standards, participatory, developing educational technologies are not the unattainable future, but a developed tradition, which researchers and teachers are ready to support and restore.
Read moreThe social status of the Russian language in Turkey"
The study focuses on the functioning of the Russian language in Turkey, with an emphasis on its role in tourism, business and education. The influence of the language on the tourism sector (quality of service, marketing strategies, specialized services for Russian-speaking tourists), the specifics of business communication in the field of Russian-Turkish relations (including contracts and negotiations), as well as the relationship between the study of Russian and the career prospects of graduates of Turkish universities is analyzed. Long-term historical experience and modern factors are taken into account, such as migration of the Russian-speaking population and economic cooperation (projects like the Turkish Stream, student and teacher exchange programs). The object of the analysis is the processes shaping the status of the Russian language in Turkish society, as well as geopolitical factors and the activities of Russian-language media. A historical and sociolinguistic approach was used. Archival materials, media publications, and scientific research are analyzed. In-depth interviews were conducted with representatives of the Russian-speaking diaspora (50), Russian students (100) and Russian teachers (20). Statistical methods, content analysis (mass media) and discourse analysis (advertising) were used in data analysis. Russian language plays a significant role in modern Turkey, which is reflected in the high level of tourist flow from Russia (requirements for proficiency in Russian in the service sector, examples of advertising campaigns in Russian) and the active development of trade relations between the countries (the growth of exports of Turkish products). Interuniversity exchange (implementation of joint educational programs) and the demand for linguistic education in universities (competition for Russian departments) are supported. The data obtained demonstrate the links between language proficiency and the employment prospects of graduates in the fields of tourism, logistics, translation and international trade. Russian status in Turkey is supported by established historical relations, economic factors, and the motivation of Turkish students to learn Russian. The author's contribution is to conduct a comprehensive analysis based on empirical and statistical data. The scientific novelty consists in a sociolinguistic assessment of the role of the Russian language in Turkey in modern conditions, taking into account the influence of migration and geopolitics, which was previously insufficiently covered.
Read moreSchool-based Sex Education in Russia: The current reality and prospects
The last decade has been characterised in Russia by a sharp increase in the number of cases of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), especially in teenagers, as well as by a high level of unwanted pregnancies, sexual violence and other phenomena relevant to the issues of reproductive and sexual health and behaviour. Though the overwhelming majority of Russian teenagers, their parents and teachers favour the introduction of sex education in schools, there is no national programme of school-based sex education in Russia at the moment. Currently, some conservative forces and the Russian Orthodox Church are actively opposing school sex education and family planning. Opponents of sex education have mounted an aggressive campaign against the implementation of sex education in schools. The attempt of the Russian Ministry of Education, in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and UNESCO, to implement in-school sex education has practically failed. At present, direct instruction of schoolchildren in these matters is in fact forbidden. So in the near future, it is only really feasible to promote direct educational work with youngsters on a local basis and in cooperation with some foreign experts within the framework of separate, fairly small-scale projects.

The purpose of this study was to present outcome criteria of character education through Delphi expert surveys, bringing out problems in the current outcome criteria for character education in Korean colleges. To this end, a framework of analysis for a Delphi study was established based on a meta-analysis of character education researches ever carried out over the last 10 years, and a panel consisting of 25 character education experts was formed. The Delphi survey was conducted in a total of three times and the opinions of the 19 experts who participated in all three surveys were analyzed. In the analysis of the results of the three Delphi surveys, the CVR (content validity ratio) was calculated by applying the internal validity calculation formula developed by Lawshe. The results of this study are as follows. First, three sub-domains of the outcome criteria for character education were specified: it was agreed that they include virtues related to self-discipline, virtues related to others, and virtues related to global citizenship. Second, a total of 20 behavioral indicators were derived for the three sub-domains: six for virtues related to self-discipline, eight for virtues related to others, and six for virtues related to global citizenship. The academic significance of this study can be found in that it built a consensus on evaluation criteria for character education in colleges among experts. Also, possibility of follow-up studies to establish evaluation criteria for character education in elementary, middle, and high schools were put forward in view of these findings.

Read moreAge Heterogeneity of STEM Educators
One of the ways to improve the quality of math and natural science education is to develop the pedagogical community of STEM education. On the one hand, according to the forecasts, an increase in the number of students and teachers is expected by an average of 20 % in both Russia and worldwide. On the other hand, there is definitely some specificity in the pedagogical community as compared with any other labor collective, since the pedagogical community develops alongside with the student one. In this perspective, the age heterogeneity of the teaching staff is of particular relevance. Consequently, the key point in the management of math and natural science education is the analysis of the age structure of STEM educators. The following subjects are taken to conduct a further analysis of STEM education: mathematics, handicraft, physics, biology, and chemistry. Accordingly, the purpose of the article is to analyze and forecast the heterogeneous development of the age structure of STEM teachers. The authors of the article justify the necessity for changes in the personnel policy on the basis of the assessment of the capacity of the teaching staff of STEM education in schools of the European part of Russia. The leading research approach is the method of the normal and natural distribution of age groups in the structure of the STEM education pedagogical community. As a result of a study conducted in 569 schools of the European part of Russia in 2016–2018, the authors of the article have found out the following: the average age of STEM school teachers in the European part of Russia is 6.8 years higher than the average age of teachers in Russia; there is a significant shortage of STEM teachers aged under 35; the average rate of the teaching load of a STEM school teacher in an academic subject is 0.72, but the load is distributed very unevenly, math teachers having the highest teaching load. The theoretical significance of the research lies in its contribution to the development of scientific ideas concerning the age heterogeneity of STEM school teachers. The research results can be used in building development trajectories of STEM education teaching staff by implementing a series of managerial and organizational measures to achieve the normal state of the age structure of teachers.
Read moreThe Influence of Internet Subculture on Civic Values Education in Fujian Province
Background and Aim: This study explores the current development of internet subcultures and their influence on university students' values. It aims to examine how internet subcultures influence students’ national consciousness, social responsibility, and individual behavior, with the ultimate goal of proposing effective strategies for civic values education in higher education institutions under the influence of internet subcultures. As a distinctive and dynamic component of contemporary culture, the internet subculture reflects the growing diversity of social values. University students, as digital natives, are highly active on various online platforms and are in a critical developmental stage where their worldview, outlook on life, and values are still forming and susceptible to external influences. This study focuses on analyzing the specific effects of five popular types of internet subcultures among university students in Fujian Province, offering insights to enhance civic values education in this context. Materials and Methods: This research adopts a combination of literature review, semi-structured interviews, and questionnaires to identify the five most influential internet subcultures among university students in Fujian Province. A multiple regression analysis is conducted to assess the "double-edged" impact of these subcultures on students’ national consciousness, social responsibility, and individual behavior. Based on the findings, the study proposes strategies to improve civic values education in universities in the context of internet subcultures. Results: The study identifies five internet subcultures that are widespread and influential among university students in Fujian Province: Fan culture, Game culture, ACG (Anime, Comic, and Games) culture, Buddha-like/Lying Flat culture, and Live Streaming/Internet Celebrity culture. These subcultures exert both positive and negative influences to varying degrees on students' national consciousness, sense of social responsibility, and individual behavior. The empirical data underscore the pivotal role of internet subcultures in shaping students' civic values. Conclusion: The study concludes by proposing four strategic approaches to address the impact of internet subcultures on civic values education: optimizing the educational environment, innovating teaching methods, strengthening faculty development, and cultivating students’ civic awareness in the digital age. These strategies aim to enhance the effectiveness of civic values education in the context of evolving internet subcultures.

The Land of Hope. University students’ travelogues during the age of autonomy Finland was an autonomous Grand Duchy in the Russian Empire during the years 1808–1917. At this time nationalism as well as other ideologies reached Finland from Europe, which strengthened the willingness to change both in society and on a governmental level. The Fennoman movement, which was a movement focusing both on language and on nationalism, became the core of the Finnish self-perception. The goal was to define Finland as a coherent and separate country in relation to its neighbouring countries. Collecting folk poems and learning to know one’s home country became essential. People saw the Kalevala poems as a way to understand and define the Finnish identity and the history of the Finnish people. Especially young people with a background in academia were intrigued by these ideas. University students collected poems all over the Grand Duchy of Finland as well as in the Russian part of Carelia, in Sweden, Norway and in Ingria. Students who collected these folk poems also wrote travelogues about their travels and all this material was handed over to The Finnish Literature Society. These documents are unique and there has not been much research done on them, especially with the focus on how the young academic generation during the age of autonomy defined their home country, their national self-perception, themselves and the commoners living in the rural parts of the country. This book reviews travelogues written by one hundred university students who travelled in the country collecting folk poems during 1836–1917. The book offers insight into how the students described Finland and what it meant to be Finnish. Travelogues can be defined as a sort of hybrid of texts. They consist of a mixture of letters, journals, biographical texts and travel books. Consequently, the image that the students depict of Finland is in this study based upon research perspectives and methods used in textual research, oral history and travel literature. The travelogues written by students previously evoked the interest of researchers who mainly studied certain traits of poem collectors, tradition bearers or poems. However, the travelogues contain plenty of information about the lives of the people who lived in the areas where the poems were collected. The descriptions of Finland in the travelogues do not represent the “real” 19th century Finland, but instead it is a story written and created by university students. The characteristics that are presented in The Land of Hope are based on how the intelligentsia perceived “real” Finnishness as opposed to the uneducated commoners living in the rural parts of the country. The most notable themes in the travelogues are the state and the future of the society and of being Finnish. Another theme is the otherization of those who were uneducated commoners. These themes describe the fears and hopes that university students had about Finland. They also show us that the travelogues were ideological texts about Finland and Finnishness that united the collectors of folk poetry. This book studies the collection of folk poetry in the context of the ideologies during the age of autonomy and it explains what the collection of poems meant and who were involved in it. Furthermore, the book gives an insight into the possibilities to pursue academic studies and it also presents the most essential sources of students’ knowledge about Finland at that point of time.
