The purpose of the article is to identify the main approaches to understanding the activities of the school of ballroom choreography of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts (KNUKiM) in modern research. Research methodology. Methods of analysis and synthesis are applied; historical for consideration of scientific publications in chronological order; method of theoretical generalization for formulating conclusions, etc. Scientific novelty. The scientific novelty is to identify the degree of research of the phenomenon of "school of ballroom choreography KNUKiM" and the main approaches to understanding its activities. Conclusions. The analysis of the scientific discourse on the school of ballroom choreography of KNUKiM proved the importance not only of narrow choreographic optics but also the legitimacy of the application of culturological approaches, given the scale of the phenomenon of this school. In fact, only T. Pavliuk and A. Pidlypska consider the "school of ballroom choreography of KNUKiM", and not some aspects of its activities, without calling the phenomenon "school". Most of the authors, resorting to demonstrating the importance of scientific and methodological achievements of ballroom dance teachers KNUKiM, as well as graduates of the Department of Ballroom Choreography, prove the legitimacy of the definition of "scientific and pedagogical school". Despite numerous mentions of the Department of Ballroom Choreography KNUKiM and its representatives, it should be noted that researchers have not paid due attention to the preconditions and characteristics of the formation of art and pedagogical school of ballroom choreography KNUKiM, clarifying the main directions of the Department of Ballroom Choreography its role in the cultural and artistic life of Ukraine, the identification of the personal contribution of school representatives, the development of periodization of school activities, etc. The relevance of such a study is undeniable, and its results can be used in further theoretical developments on the activities of art, pedagogical, scientific schools in the process of cultural creation, choreographic art in Ukraine, etc. Key words: Department of Ballroom Choreography KNUKiM, Ukrainian culture, art school, scientific discourse.

The purpose of the study is to research the peculiarities of the creation, functioning, and evolution of cemeteries in the cultural and historical space of the provincial city, to demonstrate the role of local authorities and citizens in the process of desacralization of necropolises. The research methodology is based on the principles of historicism, comprehensiveness, and integrity, objectivity, and systematicity. The research was conducted within the framework of microhistory. T e thesis about the transformation of a sacred place into a place of collective memory, the emergence, and extinction of interest in necropolises among urban residents, is based on the typology of scenarios of anthropologist P. Connerton and the theory of heterotopia by M. Foucault. The scientifi c novelty of the study is that for the fi rst time in the national historiography, the Kharkiv city necropolises became the object of a special study. The regional material illustrates the process of transformation of the traditional attitude to the burial place of the dead. Based on archival materials, an attempt was made to analyze the combination of traditional and innovative approaches to the life of cemeteries, which gradually became widespread during the study period. Conclusions. The urban necropolises of Kharkiv during the XVIII – early XX centuries passed the path of transformation from sacred places on the consecrated church land, around the temples, to the territory used for economic and commercial purposes. The creation and existence of these cemeteries is an interesting example of constructing a symbolic space of the city, considering the sacred traditions and social stratifi cation, which resulted in the modernization of life in the country. During the study period, necropolises had been an important part of the public space of the city, and ritual practices had long demonstrated the stability of traditional forms of commemoration. Population growth and expansion of the city at the turn of the XIX – XX centuries led to the emergence of innovative approaches by local authorities to the organization of the funeral business.

The subject of this research is the educational-methodological support and organizational-pedagogical conditions for integration of vocational education in the discipline “Horticulturist” in a public school. Research methodology is based on the fusion of theoretical and empirical approaches with application of the methods of analysis, pedagogical engineering, pedagogical experiment, testing, survey, generalization, comparison, synthesis. The relevance of this study is defined by the importance of preparing citizens (counting public school graduates) for professional self-determination and choice of profession, need for development of the corresponding pedagogical conditions, including vocational education in the disciplines “Horticulturist”. This article considers elective courses of educational and industrial practices as the effective means of formation of professional competences of school students. The conducted research demonstrated that completion of educational and industrial practices indicates an increase in the level of formedness of professional competences among students. Comparative analysis of the results of 2018 and 2020 monitoring “Employment of Graduates” illustrated 100% better preparedness of the graduates of 2020 who took elective courses. The scientific novelty relies on the empirical data and formulated conclusions that the considered innovative approach towards modification of public education curriculum through integration with the program of vocational education contribute to achievement of  not only standard educational results (personal, metasubject and subject), but also to formation of professional competences useful for selection of future profession and employment.

The study is aimed at investigating a justification of the new approach to the problem of vocational education development through the prism of interdependence research methodology and practice. This conceptual setup allows determining the main directions for teacher training modernization of vocational schools. The authors note that the current socio-economic situation in our country has actualized the problem of personnel training. Politicians, economists and scientists’ speeches are all about the shortage of skilled personnel. They see the main reason of this catastrophic situation in the present system of primary and secondary vocational education. At least they concern over the current practice of pedagogical personnel training of vocational education who are to restore the system of vocational education. Our country, Russia has a great positive experience in solving this problem. Scientific-methodological centre for vocational teacher education is the Russian State Vocational Pedagogical University under the scientific direction of Academician of the Russian Academy of Education, G. M. Romantsev. The reflection of scientifictheoretical bases of this education led the authors to the analysis and designing (formation) of existent and new professional and pedagogical methodology. Methods . The fundamental position of A. M. Novikov on the generality of the research (scientific) and practical activity methodology has become the theoretical platform of the present study. Conceptual field, conceptual statements and professional model are presented as the whole system (or integrating factor). The theoretical framework has determined the logic of the study and its results. Scientific and educational methodology differentiation in terms of the subject of cognitive activity has allowed identifying the main scientific and practical disciplines of vocational teacher education. The creative concept as the subject ground is instrumental analysis of methodology taking into consideration the target orientation, principles and approaches to the organization and its’ methods of scientific and educational activities implementation. The qualification structure formation of the teachers’ vocational training and providing advance principles of education are considered to be the most important conditions for the development of vocational teacher education. Scientific novelty . The research demonstrates creating the project of further vocational teacher education development in the post-industrial society. The pedagogical innovations transforming research findings into educational practice are considered to be the main tool of integration methodology means. Practical significance . The research findings highlight the proposed reforms for further teachers training system development of vocational institutes, which are in need of drastic restructuring. In the final part of the article the authors recommend some specific issues that can be discussed at the methodological workshop.

This paper presents a comprehensive historical and philosophical analysis of reflection as a fundamental principle of philosophical thinking from antiquity to non-classical philosophy of the twentieth century. Through systematic analysis of primary sources and contemporary research, the study traces the evolution of reflection from Socratic self-knowledge through Cartesian methodological doubt to Husserl’s phenomenology and existential philosophy. The research employs historical-philosophical, systematic, hermeneutical, and comparative approaches to examine how the understanding of reflection has transformed across different philosophical traditions. The paper demonstrates that reflection serves both as an ontological characteristic of consciousness and as a methodological tool for philosophical inquiry. The ontological and epistemological status of reflection in the history of philosophical thought is revealed through analysis of key philosophical systems and their interpretations of reflexive thinking. The specific features of reflection interpretation in different historical epochs are analyzed, revealing its significance for the development of philosophical knowledge and human self-consciousness. Special attention is paid to the transformation of reflection understanding in contemporary philosophical discourse and its role in interdisciplinary research. The research methodology combines traditional historiographical analysis with modern interpretative approaches, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of reflection’s evolving conceptualization. The study examines the role of reflection in modern educational practices and its potential for developing critical thinking and metacognitive skills. The methodological significance of reflection for integrating different forms of knowledge and bridging disciplinary boundaries is thoroughly analyzed. The scientific novelty lies in synthesizing various approaches to reflection and identifying its methodological potential for contemporary humanitarian knowledge. The practical significance of this work is in demonstrating how reflective methodology can enhance modern philosophical discourse, educational practices, and research methodologies in the humanities.

Purpose. This article examines the principles of small river restoration in Ukrainian cities using the example of the Lybid River in Kyiv. Methodology. The article uses the following methods: analysis of international experience in restoring small rivers and collection of data that will provide an understanding of current trends in river restoration as part of historical and cultural heritage and ensuring their sustainable development; review of existing research on the organization of embankments and the creation of public spaces along small rivers. The study is based on published information on the practice of restoring and regenerating rivers in cities, their inclusion in the pedestrian network system and their significance for cultural heritage, as well as an analysis of international and domestic documents. These research methods will facilitate the collection, analysis and interpretation of data necessary to achieve the article’s objectives and solve the tasks set. Results. The authors highlight the following basic principles of restoration: creating accessible pedestrian spaces, restoring the integrity of the urban structure, returning the lost historical context, organizing flood prevention methods, restoring ecology, and others. The basic requirements for the restoration of small rivers are defined. The principles of conservation and restoration of small rivers in Ukrainian cities based on sustainable development in the context of post-war reconstruction are proposed. It has been established that transforming the coastal areas of small rivers into public open spaces not only improves the city’s ecology, but also enhances the quality of life for residents and creates conditions for recreation, walking and cycling. A concept has been proposed for the restoration of the Lybid River as an important part of the historical and cultural heritage of the city of Kyiv, which will contribute to the restoration of national identity, improve living conditions, create tourist-attractive spaces in the city center, and also comply with the commitments of Ukraine and Kyiv regarding sustainable urban development by 2030. This direction of development will contribute to improving the comfort of city residents and the cleanliness of the environment. Scientific novelty. It is determined by a combination of the principles of restoring small rivers as part of the natural and cultural heritage, post-war restoration of Ukrainian cities, creation of attractive urban pedestrian spaces, and the principles of sustainable development. Practical relevance. The results of the study will help local authorities and planners make informed decisions on the restoration of small rivers in Ukrainian cities, the creation of a system of public spaces, and the development of urban infrastructure. This may be important for the preservation and restoration of historical and cultural heritage and the creation of a network of pedestrian open public spaces in cities. Understanding the principles of small river regeneration can help attract investment for further urban development.

Despite existing research on AI applications in education (AIEd), the release of ChatGPT has disrupted the status quo in the educational landscape. Although this technology can personalize learning, decrease teacher workload, and offer access to a wealth of information, concerns around generative AI (GenAI) tools have emerged, including academic integrity, data accuracy, and bias in information. Given research highlights and acknowledging educators’ varied levels of awareness and conflicting views toward AIEd, two teacher educators (also authors of this paper) in the Faculty of Education at Brock University facilitated three workshops among different groups of teacher educators. The workshops focused on the emerging nature of GenAI tools, their affordances, and their implications for educators’ practices. Adopting a narrative inquiry approach, the authors describe the details of these workshops and present their reflections on the process of preparing for and facilitating them. This paper studies the linguo-creative thinking development within the framework of cultures dialogue in the postmodern era. In the context of globalization and global risks that threaten social development, including its educational perspective, the influence of time (the postmodern era) on education and the educational space should be studied and taken into account by pedagogical science. Theoretical findings and educational practice cannot fail to consider the results of modern philosophical and methodological research, especially in terms of understanding the time and conditions of pedagogical activity. Analyzing the methodological aspect of foreign language speech-thinking activity, the authors try to answer the question of how foreign language and culture promote linguo-creative world-view. The following idea is illustrated in the work: a word is a universal scheme for fixing and storing information when it is "linked" to the image-representation. Thus, it can be effectively used as a tool of thinking. A word acting via its meaning is the main fixator of a person's social and personal experience. The work has an interdisciplinary character and is written at the intersection of pedagogy and linguo-didactics.

This chapter explores the complex relationship between institutionalized and formal education on the one hand and the flexibility or adaptability of the city in reference to aspects of young people’s participatory practices on the other. It builds on insights from two empirical cases from the EU Horizon 2020 research project PARTISPACE, which focused on a broad exploration of youth participation and its relationship to public space: namely, a crew of sprayers and a training group of parkour runners. The discussion of their unfolding relationships to the city shows that if young people’s spatial practices are viewed from an educational and self-educational point of view, not only do the places that are relevant to them become visible but their own educational landscapes also begin to become evident. These are educational landscapes that are created through young people’s own educational practices according to the relevancies of their everyday lives. These proper landscapes may differ from official ones, which eventually allows the relevance of the latter to be questioned. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the modern public spaces of the suburbs of Kyiv on the example of the village of Kotsiubynske, Buchanskyi district, Kyiv region, and to formulate practical recommendations for the development of community centers in the village. Methodology of work. The research involves the presence of theoretical and applied blocks. The first is aimed at defining the essence of the suburb as a modern dominant type of suburban spaces of large cities, researching the theory and methodology of transformations of suburban spaces, the formation of public centers, the evolution of their function, weight, etc. The application block provides a description of modern practices of the suburban lifestyle of residents on the example of the village of Kotsiubynske, an assessment of the results of a sociological survey regarding the prospects for the transformation of public spaces in the village. The research is based on general scientific methods, namely, analysis and synthesis, descriptive, analytical methods. Among the special methods, the method of comparative geographical analysis, cartographic, sociological (survey method) were used. Scientific novelty. The essence and content of the concept of public spaces are highlighted, their structural forms and types are defined, the general requirements for planning decisions of public centers are considered, the public centers of the village of Kotsiubynske, Buchanskyi district, Kyiv region are defined and characterized, and their transformations are revealed on the basis of the conducted monitoring studies of self-organization on the suburb level. Practical meaning. The research has a clearly delineated applied nature, since the results of the work form proposals for the transformation of each public space of the city from the standpoint of its importance for the residents of the village, comfort and accessibility.

The article analyzes the process of origin and development of migration policy of state entities on Ukrainian lands in the 10th – first half of the 18th century. The research methodology is to study and analyze the organizational and legal foundations of Ukrainian migration policy during the study period. The validity of theoretical provisions, conclusions, scientific analysis and reliability of the results of the study is ensured by the use of a set of philosophical, general scientific and special scientific methods, namely: historical law, comparative law, historical and functional, formal legal and others. The study was conducted from the perspective of the principles of historicism, objectivity, versatility, complementarity and validity, which created a sound methodological basis for a comprehensive analysis of the subject matter of the study. The scientific novelty is the historical and legal analysis of the basic state-legal elements of migration policy, the identification of peculiarities of their functioning and effectiveness. The paper states that in the Middle Ages state control was established over the movements of foreigners, ambassadors and merchants. Subsequently, as the socio-economic and political situation changed, the problem of regulating the movement of not only the privileged classes but also the general population arose. It is observed that further strengthening of migration control, both external and internal, comes from the introduction of a passport system. It was found that effective state control over migration, which was based on the passport system, was managed not by the Polish authorities but by the Russian authorities. It was noted that the system of control over the population movement and passport system for some time was established in the territory of Zaporizhzhia Troops, which, in addition, allowed the Sich to emphasize its jurisdiction over the owners of Cossack passports. It has been proved that, since the seventeenth century, the passport has become the main instrument in the implementation of the state migration policy. It is established that it was in the 16th–17th centuries practices of managed and forced resettlement are being started, which will later be actively used by the Soviet authorities. The purpose of the article is to explore the interaction of screen and stage activities, to study the influence of theatre performances on cinema, to identify the emergence of new genres in cinema through the combination of different art forms, and to outline the significance of screen adaptations of literary works. Research methodology. The analysis of theoretical materials and scientific works was used to determine the influence of different types of art on each other, the role of the transformation of a literary work into a screen one and the emergence of new artistic genres, which includes the study of the relationship between different artistic disciplines, as well as the impact of their evolution on the formation of new creative trends and styles in contemporary art. The specifics of adapting literary works to the screen format are revealed, including the study of methods of transferring plot, characters and ideas from a book text to the screen, as well as the analysis of the impact of this process on the audience’s perception of the work and its interpretation. The method of comparing different art forms was used to characterise the interaction between literature, cinema, theatre and other art forms, identifying similarities and differences in their modes of expression and impact on the audience. The synthesis method allowed us to discover the peculiarities of the interaction between different art forms and to identify how the interaction between literature, cinema, theatre, and other art forms contributes to creating new possibilities for interpretation. Scientific novelty. A scientific novelty. For the first time, the author analyses screenworks and stage productions as separate types of cultural activity, studying the mixing of genres and the emergence of film opera as a new contemporary art form by adapting literary works. Conclusions. The study analysed the interaction between cinema and the performing arts and revealed the mutual influence of theatre productions on-screen activities. The study examines how the aesthetics and techniques of theatre influence the shooting and editing of films. In addition, the author outlines the vital role of film adaptations of literary works in developing cinema and its importance as a way of transforming a verbal text into a visual and audiovisual product and enriching the audience’s artistic experience.

Purpose of Article. The study aims to analyse and summarize existing experience and technologies of the implementation strategies of library (international and national) digital projects. Methodology. The research methodology is a systematic approach to identifying and specifying technological basic requirements to create and organize library digital resources in accordance with international requirements and standards. Scientific Novelty. The scientific novelty is to create united technical and technological approaches to digitization of library collections, providing access to online digital library, digital resources integration to the international digital library projects. Conclusions. The large-scale digital library projects are implemented based on corporate involvement institutions of national memory in addition to libraries. The realization of such projects requires coordination and resolve a number of technical issues and developing common standards. The legal issues of access to digital library resources are recommended to decide on the basis of a reasonable balance between copyright creators of documents and the rights of users to access digital resources.

Introduction. The competitive advantage in the field of critical knowledge and technology exacerbates the problem of the effectiveness of intellectual activity and the means of its support in science, production and education. Such visual aids, formed by conceptual and graphic elements, such as concept maps, frames, structural logic diagrams, etc., contribute to the theoretical analysis and generalisation of the formed images and representations of learners. According to the degree of the development of these visual aids, the emphasis shifts from the function of visibility to the function of the organisation of activities. The term “visibility” (associated with the initial images of perception and representation) is substituted by the term “regulator” (focused on the organisation of further activities of the student). The hypothesis assumes the expediency of the development of conceptual and graphic means of visualisation in the form of visual didactic regulations, which are the subject of research.The present research aims: to discuss the problem of the creation of didactic regulations for educational activities; to study the development of conceptual-graphic means of visibility and factors for improving their functionality; to forecast the development of this type of means based on the visualisation of the logical-semantic modelling of knowledge; to clarify terminology and applied aspects; and to conduct experimental approbation in the conditions of distance learning.Methodology and research methods. The research methodology is based on the fundamental didactic principle of visualisation, which is necessary for the transition in the process of cognition from sensory perception to abstract thinking and contributes to the combination of abstract thinking with visualisation in teaching. The research methodology is also based on the method of logical-semantic modelling of knowledge and the following criteria for the study of conceptual-graphic means of visualisation: the application of the cognitive principles of knowledge representation; the use of universal instructional analysis activities to transform knowledge; the applicability of graphical representation of content. The methodology for the formation of didactic regulations included a visual presentation of the results of logical-semantic modelling of knowledge using universal educational actions and coordinate-matrix graphics. The method of experimental approbation of regulations in distance learning involved: the participation of students of four specialities and university teachers; a questionnaire survey of students; mastering, designing and using didactic regulations on the topic of experimental studies.Results and scientific novelty. The search on the databases of scientific documents of the Russian Academy of Education, the Electronic Scientific Library, Scopus, WOS and the Internet revealed the apparent lack of research and development of didactic regulations of a conceptual-graphic type. It was established that the main reason for the development of conceptual and graphic means of visualisation is the complexity of the tasks to be solved in science, production and education. It is demonstrated that the improvement of the functionality of conceptual and graphical tools is explained by the application of the principles of cognitive visual representation of knowledge and the method of logical-semantic modelling. The basic structures of the regulations were predicted and formed; the terminology of the research approach was clarified; the application of the tools for educational and project-based activities, interfaces of computer training programs is considered.Practical significance. The functionality of visual didactic regulators expands the potential of visibility and complements the tools of the teacher and the student. Moreover, they can be used in teaching technologies, research activities and design, when creating computer training programs.

The article is devoted to the substantiation of a set of measures to form the motivation of women to engage in health and recreational physical activity in the conditions of quarantine restrictions. The pandemic in Ukraine has actually reached its peak. For a long time, the population is in a state of constant stress due to the risk of illness, inability to return to the usual rhythm of life, a certain complex of psychological fatigue, formed effective forms of dissemination of information. The purpose of the study is to theoretically substantiate and develop a set of activities that will help increase the level of motivation of women to engage in health and recreational physical activity in conditions of quarantine restrictions. Research methodology - analysis and generalization of special scientific and methodological literature, documentary materials, sociological (questionnaire, expert survey), pedagogical research methods (pedagogical observation, pedagogical experiment), methods of mathematical statistics. Scientific novelty: rhe study of women's motivation to engage in health and recreational physical activity in conditions of quarantine restrictions is relevant. How to motivate women to exercise is an important question today. Successful realization of motivation and goals stimulated the desire of women to continue to show initiative, that is, intrinsic motivation and interest. Conclusions: the proposed program of classes includes 4 sets of activities: setting smart goals, rational use of free time, control of success and promotion, fitness that you like. The variety of means of the offered program allowed to involve women in occupations of improving and recreational physical activity and to promote formation of the positive attitude to a healthy way of life and physical activity.
