The article explores the craft business as a significant driver for the development of solidarity tourism in Ukraine during the wartime and post-war recovery periods. The study emphasizes that the growth of domestic tourism, focused on supporting local communities, has become one of the key instruments for both economic and social reconstruction of the country. Solidarity tourism is defined as a model of responsible travel aimed at fair profit distribution, preservation of cultural heritage, promotion of small entrepreneurship, and achievement of sustainable regional development. It is proved that craft production in Ukraine represents not only an economic but also a cultural phenomenon that strengthens local identity, supports rural households, expands the range of authentic products, and enhances the positive image of the regions. The article analyzes the geo-economic dimensions of craft business, particularly its spatial differentiation, reliance on local natural and human resources, influence on employment, and contribution to inter-regional cooperation. The western and central regions of Ukraine, which combine natural, ethnocultural, and agricultural potential, are identified as the most active centers of craft production. The interconnection between the development of craft enterprises and the formation of tourist clusters, gastronomic routes, and tasting tours has been revealed. The synergy between craft business and solidarity tourism creates new opportunities for social and economic integration of communities, job creation, attraction of investments, and the formation of sustainable development models. The study highlights Ukrainian online platforms and marketplaces (“Incredible Craft Bag”, “Craft Society”, “It’s Craft”) that serve as informational hubs promoting local producers and their products. A typology of regional characteristics of craft production is proposed, and the geo-economic potential of different regions (Western, Central, and Northern Ukraine) for the development of solidarity tourism is identified. The paper summarizes the main forms of solidarity tourism activities related to craft production — master classes, tastings, charity events, participation in local festivals, stays in family-owned homesteads, and direct purchases from artisans. The research concludes that the craft business serves as a strategic resource for Ukraine’s geo-economic development, fostering social cohesion, supporting a decentralized economy, and enhancing the international attractiveness of the national tourism industry. Its integration with solidarity tourism contributes to the sustainable recovery of territories, preservation of traditional crafts, and strengthening of Ukraine’s positive image in the global tourism space.
