The object of research is the banking system as an economic system of micro-level, characterized by such features as: complexity, dynamism and ability to self-organization. One of the most problematic places is an understanding of the peculiarities of the steady development of the banking system from the standpoint of the synergetic approach, which allows to explain the transformational processes that were previously considered accidental, unpredictable and not subject to conceptualization.\n\nDuring the study, methods of abstract-logical and system analysis were used in the theoretical substantiation of the features of the modern banking system. And the method of logical generalizations in identifying features of the characteristics of a complex economic system. The study of the functioning of a modern banking system should be based on the use of the theory of systems, the theory of complex systems and the theory of dynamic systems. It is proved that the processes of self-organization can occur only in those economic systems that have a high level of complexity, are dynamic and unpredictable in the long run, which should include the banking system.\n\nIt is proposed to understand the banking system as a complex, dynamic economic system:\n• which has the mechanisms of self-organization;\n• which can be described by integration, thermodynamic parameters, which fully reflect the exchange of material and financial resources with the environment;\n• which is distinguished by the dynamism and unevenness of its development.\n\nThis provides an opportunity to understand the laws of the functioning of the banking system, which is a prerequisite for ensuring its viability and sustainability under the influence of various exogenous and endogenous factors. Compared with the well-known system analysis, the proposed use of synergetics makes it possible to explain the progressive development of the banking system to a certain extent by fluctuations that are difficult to predict, but which are inherent to the system itself. It is in the conditions of the existence of such fluctuations that spontaneous formation of new structures in the banking system occurs, that is, self-organization takes place.

Progress and Prospects for Research and Technology Development of Supercritical CO2 Thermal Conversion Systems for Power, Energy Storage, and Waste Heat Recovery

TransGrid, Australia, has implemented a dynamic line rating system on several 330kV and 132kV transmission lines in response to emerging thermal limitations. This system produces a more intelligent grid by utilizing weather stations that employ mobile telemetry, where these are installed directly on the steel lattice structures. This paper describes the rationale behind the development of the system and provides rationale behind the various decisions made during the implementation. It also presents experimental analysis of conductor temperatures, which is used to validate several internationally recognized overhead conductor rating methodologies. Moreover, these temperature measurements identify the need for simple data filtering strategies and the use of localised weather observations.

In this paper we present the results of research and development of a gesture-controlled robot manipulator system. The accelerometer and gyroscope inertia measurement unit helped estimate human arm's joint angles in stress test conditions. Four inertia measurement units were mounted on the following human arm parts: humerus, ulna, hand and finger. The estimation of human arm unfolding was done on a plane perpendicular to the earth by using free fall decomposition based on quaternions model. In dynamic environment accelerometer axis signals contain noise usually higher than base signal in addition to gravitational component. Coming from the approach of Maximum relative Entropy we construct posterior distribution based on Bayes Theorem. The likelihood distribution includes both observed values and nonlinear model relationships. In comparison, the prediction stage of Kalman Filter contains the model translation. Whereas the main difference is that we use multiple most recent observed samples instead of recursive approach. This allowed to stably decompose gravitational acceleration vector from measurement data. High speed data filtering performs Bayesian updating and finds the mean of posterior probability density function derived from maximization of relative entropy. This enables the control of remote robotic arm in harsh environments where shocks and vibrations exist. We experimented with this robotic system and demonstrated expected behavior of the manipulator when artificial shocks and vibrations were applied.

Research and development of an accurate 3D shape measurement system based on fringe projection: Model analysis and performance evaluation

Background Modern style of living and the aging of the population increase the number of the patients with the degenerative diseases of the lumbar spine, especially in the active part of the population. Methods For the surgical treatment, different types of fusion were used in order to achieve the rigid stability of the affected motion segment. These techniques often lead to adjacent segments degeneration, therefore the development of the new dynamic systems, needing no fusion, occurred. With careful patient selection, the new operative techniques and instrumentation provide better results in these diseases. Results The results in the major centers, treating this pathology are encouraging, however being a new system, enough long-term results have to be available for proper evaluation of the method. In our department we treated 15 patients in one year, 11 of them were evaluated eight months after surgery with appropriate scales, so far with good results. Discussion Cosmic is a posterior nonfusion dynamic implant system, featuring hinged screws that provide a sufficient degree of dynamization and load sharing between the system and the vertebral column. The hinged screws are coated with bioactive calcium phosphate and connected adjacently with the rod, providing stability. The system provides a good rotational stability. The main indication for the Cosmic is symptomatic spinal stenosis accompanied by the spondylolisthesis. Conclusions Cosmic is a posterior dynamic nonfusion pedicle screw-rod system for the stabilization of the lumbar vertebral column. It represents the new step in the development of the spinal instrumentation and can efficiently replace the spondylodesis in the treatment of painful degenerative diseases of the lumbar spine.

Model-Based Design (MBD) is a process that enables fast and cost-effective development of dynamic and complex systems, including control systems, signal processing, communications systems on the one hand and mechanical systems on the other hand. In Model-Based Design, a system model is at the center of the development process, from development requirements through design, implementation, and testing. At each stage of design, the model is a reflection of the state of knowledge about the designed system. The model is an executable specification that you continually refine throughout the development process. This is especially important for complex systems whose operation is difficult to predict. through simulations performed on the model, we can therefore determine whether the development of the system is going well. Simulation shows whether the model works correctly. The General Model-based Design method has been applied to the design of an electric car. In addition, this method has been used to optimize the vehicle towards minimizing energy consumption and, consequently, increasing the range of the vehicle, which is a critical functional parameter for currently developed electric vehicles. The application of optimization methods in a combination with the Model-Based Design creating additional possibilities of verification of other calculation methods (eg FEM) used in the design of the vehicle.

Global trends and current problems of the Russian higher education system determine the relevance of the tasks of analyzing and forecasting the long-term development of the Russian higher education system and developing management decisions aimed at its improvement. These tasks can be solved with the help of computer models of the education system, which allow us to study the behavior of a complex system in dynamics, considering the interactions of its elements, lag effects, and feedback loops. Despite the ongoing research in this area, the issue of management decision support tools for the strategic development of the Russian higher education system has not been resolved. The article discusses the issues of simulation modeling of the higher education system of the Russian Federation, considering its interaction with macroeconomic and demographic factors. The proposed set of simulation models of the higher education system is developed using agent-based modeling and system dynamics methods. The functioning of the education system is described at different levels in the proposed set of models: the individual level, the educational institutions level, and the macroeconomic level. The set of models can be used as the basis for tools to support strategic planning of the Russian Federation’s education system development.
